Old Bend meets new Bend in this spacious, newly constructed second level studio apartment in a century old neighborhood in NW Bend. The beautifully appointed room has private access and includes a well accessorized kitchen, comfortable furnishings, a queen size bed, and bathroom.
You will be welcomed with a special gift from a local vendor upon your arrival to compliment what we know will be a memorable stay in Bend. As comfortable as we know you’ll be in the studio, you must get out and experience all Bend has to offer. Hiking, fishing, golf, lakes, rivers, Mt. Bachelor, beautiful sightseeing and many more activities are within a 30 minute drive.
We think you’ll enjoy your stay without getting in your car at all. Within 3 blocks you can visit one of the favorite local brew pubs, the best pizza place in town, our favorite bakery and several other eateries. Beautiful downtown Bend is a 15 minute walk, or, a short bike ride on bikes we provide. Experience locally owned restaurants, bars, breweries, unique boutique shops, coffee roasters, bakeries, Drake park and more.
This century old neighborhood which was home to many mill workers in the past has become a rejuvenated and vibrant area for a new generation. Many of the old houses continue to be remodeled and, at the same time, retain the old neighborhood feel.
Interaction with Guests
Our interaction with guests is very limited. Even though we share the same property, the studio is separated and has private access. Because the studio is located above our garage, we occasionally meet guests by chance when we're leaving or returning at the same time.

Pam and Al have the perfect place for visiting Bend. The location is within easy walking distance to a great breakfast place (Chows), and it is easy to get on the bikes they provide to ride along the river. The room is spacious with very nice furnishings and with a private entry. The heater is the BEST as it was cold in the mornings, and the fresh espresso coffee beans we ground each morning in our room was appreciated. Pam and Al were very responsive to our emails, and once there, let us have our privacy. We ended our vacation with a wonderful talk with Pam about living in Bend. Thank you both for the gracious accommodation!
Great location; accurate listing. Clean, comfortable unit that fit our needs perfectly. We had a great visit in Bend, and wouldn't hesitate returning to this unit.
This was a really great place in the middle of Bend. Comfortable bed, awesome fireplace, TV with a nice music system. Good sized bathroom and shower/bathtub which came in handy after a hard day of skiing. Looks recently remodeled and made for a very comfortable stay. Really close to the best breweries and restaurants and the bikes were a treat to get around town! A very cozy and romantic get-away!
Everything you need for a great stay in Bend: fantastic location, comfortable space, and a neighborhood so quiet, the birds wake you up.
We came to Bend to play and to get to know it as well as we could in one week, with the intent of settling there one there. Pam and Al met us downtown to share a drink the evening we arrived and to share their stories. Their apartment was perfect for us, quiet and in a beautiful neighborhood within walking distance of the river and town. Easy, flat bicycling as well.
We had the best time in Bend for our anniversary, and this location couldn't have been better. We were super close (walking distance) to 10 Barrel and the food cart lot. We also walked to breakfast each morning. The place was exactly as pictures, easily one of if not the nicest Airbnbs we have ever booked. If you're going to be in Bend, then stay here--- you won't be disappointed!
Communication was very quick and the space quite nice. The location is hard to beat being close to Galveston, Newport and downtown. Very quiet location.
The only drawback that I can think of is the gas stove has some creaking metal sounds which might be a issue for someone, in the winter, with sleep/sound sensitivity issues.
I would definitely return.
We love Bend! It's like being on vacation all year round. As a result, we haven't done much traveling. We still like to experience the different restaurants & breweries here. It seems that Bend has a big event going on almost weekly, which we usually partake. Would like to play more golf, but my summer job as owner of a sustainable lawn maintenance service keeps me pretty busy. In the winter I'm at Mt. Bachelor, mostly working, but do hit the slopes on occasion. Pam is the Executive Director for CASA of Central Oregon. This is a non-profit that advocates for children in foster care.
