The Space

Old Bend meets new Bend in this spacious, newly constructed second level studio apartment in a century old neighborhood in NW Bend. The beautifully appointed room has private access and includes a well accessorized kitchen, comfortable furnishings, a queen size bed, and bathroom.
You will be welcomed with a special gift from a local vendor upon your arrival to compliment what we know will be a memorable stay in Bend. As comfortable as we know you’ll be in the studio, you must get out and experience all Bend has to offer. Hiking, fishing, golf, lakes, rivers, Mt. Bachelor, beautiful sightseeing and many more activities are within a 30 minute drive.
We think you’ll enjoy your stay without getting in your car at all. Within 3 blocks you can visit one of the favorite local brew pubs, the best pizza place in town, our favorite bakery and several other eateries. Beautiful downtown Bend is a 15 minute walk, or, a short bike ride on bikes we provide. Experience locally owned restaurants, bars, breweries, unique boutique shops, coffee roasters, bakeries, Drake park and more.
This century old neighborhood which was home to many mill workers in the past has become a rejuvenated and vibrant area for a new generation. Many of the old houses continue to be remodeled and, at the same time, retain the old neighborhood feel.

  • We loved staying at the Fortier's loft. Great amenities, close to good restaurants and things to do in Bend. Very comfortable. Next time we're in Bend we'll stop by again.

  • Pam and Al were very quick to reply to messages and ready to help plan your stay. The space was clean, quiet, and very comfortable. We enjoyed a weekend of beer tasting, nordic skiing, hiking, and exploring downtown Bend, all easily accessible from Pam and Al's studio. Our only regret was not being able to meet Al and Pam. We would most definitely stay again.

  • Stayed here for the weekend while in town for some business and to take a day to hit the snow. Wonderful place. Warm, cozy, well equipped, clean, tidy and amazing location within walking distance of downtown and other neighborhoods.

Plus Pam and Al were always very quick and responsive to messages. Would recommend and stay here again.

  • Fantastic location, beautiful studio apartment! The place was in great shape, sparkling clean and tastefully decorated. The back alley entrance separate from the main house afforded complete privacy. Although bikes were available (nice touch!) we were able to walk to most places we wanted to go. There is an abundance of restaurants and breweries, Drake park, and beautiful downtown Bend all within a mile or so. Thank you for the perfect getaway location, Pam & Al!

Tip - if you're ever in Bend, DO NOT skip CHOW (walkable from Pam & Al's!) for breakfast. Hands down the best breakfast this foodie has ever had!

  • What a perfect spot in Bend! The apartment was very well furnished - we were surprised to find the kitchen stocked with more than the expected appliances, including a coffee grinder, toaster and spices! The apartment was spotless, private and cozy. The location was ideal and so close to downtown. We had an awesome getaway here and would recommend it to anyone!!

  • This apartment was absolutely perfect. Only a few blocks from breweries/restaurants and within walking distance of downtown. Quiet, clean, and a very comfortable bed. Kitchen was well stocked and they even had coffee available! Thanks Pam and Al!

  • This was a wonderful and cozy space! Great location in a really quiet and convenient neighborhood within walking distance to all the best eateries that Bend has to offer. The apartment was clean, bright, and modern. Very well stocked with everything you'd need, including a very comfortable mattress, which can be rare in a rental.
The hosts were vary gracious and very helpful without being intrusive. We would love to stay there again next time we visit.

About
We love Bend! It's like being on vacation all year round. As a result, we haven't done much traveling. We still like to experience the different restaurants & breweries here. It seems that Bend has a big event going on almost weekly, which we usually partake. Would like to play more golf, but my summer job as owner of a sustainable lawn maintenance service keeps me pretty busy. In the winter I'm at Mt. Bachelor, mostly working, but do hit the slopes on occasion. Pam is the Executive Director for CASA of Central Oregon. This is a non-profit that advocates for children in foster care. Pam is passionate about children and youth. Before she started working for CASA she was an educator. In her spare time she enjoys running and golf. Her absolute favorite past time is reading cookbooks and entertaining family and friends.
