We like to meet and greet when possible, then we'll take our cue from you. The BBQ area is jointly used and in the summer we love to fire it up. Join us, we love the company!

Our property does require a vehicle. Although just minutes to town, we do not have access to public transit.

We do not charge a cleaning fee and would like to keep it that way. We do ask that you wash, dry and put away any dishes used and that you tidy up after yourself in the kitchen.
Although we love our pets and would be sure to love yours, we cannot accept pets, due to the stress it causes one of our dogs. Thank you for understanding.
So nice! Cute, comfortable, super clean and well kept cabin among the redwood trees, above a little creek. Just as it appears in photos, if not better. Cyndi and sal are very nice, they even left me a little box of chocolates when they found out it was my bday (thank you :) and graciously let us store our bags past the check out time since we were not leaving the area til later in the day. A very relaxing, quiet place. Was so nice to be able to hang out in the woods and pet the horses too! Maximum amount of Stars possible!
For starters, I did NOT want to stay at those seedy expensive ($169+!) motels by the boardwalk, & was looking for something different, yet close to the boardwalk (20 min). My BF loves nature, & I love animals...& we came across this perfect gem :)
We had no problem finding Cyndi & Sal's secluded property. We drove past 2 goats (one was preggers!) & a few horses. My BF & I didn't want to walk right up to their house (my texts weren't going thru), so we walked up close enough to their 2 dogs so that they'd bark to let their owners know we've arrived. Cyndi came out right away & immediately showed us our digs for the night.
We unloaded our stuff & decided to walk around & hang with their horses, goats, & dogs for a little bit. Our hosts said petting is encouraged!!
The day before, I've messaged Cyndi & Sal to see if they were game for some kabobs & grilled oysters for dinner. They brought out some food of their own too. We spent the night chatting, eating, & keeping warm around the firepit. Dessert: banana creme pie from Nation's before they headed to bed!
The cabin blew my mind. It was a lot bigger than in the pics! Very clean, simple, decorative. Everything was tastefully done. Love the big screen TV (sorry, I love my TV), & the bed in the main bedroom. THE BED, omygod, the bed was the most comfortable bed everrrr! I had a very good night's sleep!
Their wi-fi was not spotty at all. It worked the entire time we were there. I wasn't completely glued to my phone anyway, because I was having so much fun there.
Cyndi told us they've got fresh eggs in the fridge, so we definitely had them for breakfast the next AM. So good, so organic!
On our drive back home (just 1.5 hours away), we could not get over what an amazing time we had! Our hosts were beyond friendly & warm. We did not feel like we were intruding, & definitely felt welcome. Cyndi & Sal gave us our space & privacy.
1. bring shoes for hiking...they live very close to a creek! I was not prepared :(
2. they have cable for the bedroom, but is in the process of getting channels in the living room. I just happen to be addicted to Netflix, so I had my Amazon Firestick with me to use in the living room :)
3. lots of photo ops with the animals :)
4. food is the ultimate ice breaker
5. Cyndi runs a horseback riding school right in her front yard/arena, so you may see some people come & go, but you'll barely notice them.
I love Cyndi & Sal so much! Our first & best Airbnb stay so far! Next time we come back, I want to stay 2 nights!!
This was our first Air bnb ever, and it was perfect. Such a cute cabin, very clean, cute decor. The outside area was so pretty, and so were the horses. I loved the fresh eggs and milk and my hubby and I had a delicious breakfast of scrambled eggs. Sal was friendly and gracious. We got in late so we didn't chat much. We couldn't be happier with our experience! Thank you!
Lovely! It's off the beaten path and a bit secluded but that's part of the appeal. Cyndi gave us a great dinner recommendation for Soquel (Little Tampico) and they provided fresh eggs from their chickens for breakfast. We had a great time exploring the area and I would definitely recommend staying here. Comfortable accommodations and friendly hosts :)
The cabin was as described in the listing. It was clean and nicely set up. Cyndi was very friendly and helpful upon arrival. She made us feel welcome and even put fresh eggs from her chickens in the fridge for us! It was a perfect location for an anniversary weekend getaway.
We were visiting Santa Cruz so our son could see the UCSC campus. We were looking for a non-hotel experience and certainly found it with this little gem. I am not sure whether to describe this as a cabin or a little farmhouse, but one thing I know for sure is that it is very charming. We loved having fresh goat's milk and eggs that our host gave us on arrival. We loved waking up to the sound of roosters. We loved petting the horses on the property. We loved being near the creek and nestled in the trees. We love how gracious our hosts were and how immaculately clean our lodging was. We love having a barbecue to cook our meals. We loved this place and would stay here again. Great job Cyndi and Sal.
