About This Listing
My sunny bright apartment is just 3 blocks from Bunker Hill Monument, and 1.6 miles from downtown Boston / financial district.
This quaint, sunny, freshly painted bedroom is located within a 2 bedroom condominium which was built in 1875, and located on a quiet residential street, just 3 short blocks from Bunker Hill Monument in historic Charlestown -- which is right on the Freedom Trail, and home of the Bunker Hill Monument!
The bedroom is furnished with a new twin daybed, fresh linens, an antique desk; as well as wireless internet [also throughout the condo].
The kitchen and bath are located on the same floor, and a light cold breakfast will be offered if you choose; as well as a Kreiug coffee machine, espresso; or even hot tea/chocolate.
Charlestown is a little over 1 mile from the downtown financial district of Boston. Boston Logan Airport is a quick 12 minutes away; and South Station, where the trains and buses come in, is just 3 miles away.
I am a gracious hostess in every sense of the word. Offering a friendly face to come home to and a warm and cozy atmosphere to relax in.
Guest will have access to outdoor deck, if he or she chooses.
We have lovely neighbors, friendly merchants and the community around in which I live, as well as our brick sidewalks, pretty colored houses, apartments and condos. And there's always a dog that is being walked if you like the 4-legged creatures as well.
At the corner of Bunker Hill Street and School Street is the #93 bus that routes you down Bunker Hill St., around the monument and through to the downtown Boston.
On the corner of School and Main Street is the #92 bus that routes you down Main Street, also through downtown Boston.
To get to the Orange Train Line: Walk straight down Mystic St cross over Bunker Hill Street, then down School St. Make a left onto Main St., and a right onto Austin Street (at the traffic light). The walk is just 4 blocks from my apartment.
Please be mindful if walking to my apartment from the Orange Line that it is *mostly UP hill*.
Other Things to Note
You are more than welcomed to keep meals and liquids in the refrigerator.
I have a very friendly pet rabbit. Those with allergies to rabbits (and often cats) are not recommended to stay here.
No recreational drug use allowed. No smoking in or around the unit, or it's entry/exit ways, including the deck.
Check out / check in will be discussed once accepted as a guest.
The condo is fantastic, exactly as pictured, clean and in an awesome location - everything is just a short bus/subway ride away, or walk-able if the weather's nice. Rosalia herself is an incredible host, going above and beyond to provide anything you might not even realize you need. She's super knowledgeable about Boston, so let her know what you're planning and she'll help you make your itinerary even better!
Rosalia was a wonderful host! I had to shorten my stay for one night and she immediately accepted the change that day. We exchanged multiple messages back and forth the day I was checking in and she was so responsive. The apartment was in great condition and the bedroom was nice and cozy. Rosalia had the AC on and I had a great night's sleep. The bunny was really cute too!
Rosalia takes pride in providing a wonderful accommodation. Her condo is just as described, inviting, and very clean. The historic Charlestown neighborhood has plenty to offer in walking distance. Rosalia is a wealth of local information and anticipates every need.
This apartment is in a nice area in Charlestown. Rosalia was very friendly and great at keeping me up to date. She made sure that I had all the information and supplies that I needed.
Thank you for your comments on the pillows -- although this is the first time I am hearing this in almost 4 years, it is a good reason to buy new ones!
I have updated my fact sheet to reference where the tea/coffee is located in the kitchen. Please do not hesitate to ask your hosts in the future for anything.
Regarding Jack's area: after having a pet rabbit for over 20 years now, I am sure I get used to all of his hay, etc. I will be more mindful as to it's tidiness in the future.
Rosalia is a very friendly and great host! The room was clean and very cozy. Since I was arriving when she was not there, she gave me detailed instructions on how to let myself in. Rosalia was also very responsive to me text when the cab took me to the wrong location. Tip for anyone who is taking a Boston cab, make sure you say its in Charlestown or better yet just use uber! I came to Boston for an interview at MGH and once Rosalia found out, she gave me several tips on renting in Boston (if I were ever to move).
As for the room, there were maps and a book showing the history of Charlestown through photographs laid out on the bed. The twin bed was really soft and comfortable.
Finally Charlestown was beautiful! It is such an amazing neighbourhood that is full of history. I wandered into a 200 year old tavern which was minutes way from the place.
Overall, it has been a great stay especially as a first time airbnb (website hidden) The pet bunny is super cute!
Rosalia was an awesome host! The first night she took me for a fantastic concert - could not have better first day in the States :). She was very friendly and I felt welcomed at her place. The latter was clean, convenient, and located in a good neighborhood. If you like walking you can easily get to the downtown on foot. The Freedom Trail starts (or rather ends ;)) 5 minutes walk away.
Rosalia was extremely friendly, easy going! Her place was very clean and you can get everything you need! It was really wonderful experience to stay there!
About the Host, Rosalia
Hi and welcome to my humble home! I am Rosalia, a young professional and part-time yoga teacher. I have lived in Boston for 14 years and love entertaining visitors from near and far.
I am an easy going person -- in my home, at work, and even when I travel. Yoga is my real passion.
I consider myself a foodie being the daughter of a retired executive chef, so I am happy to recommend any type of restaurant during your stay in Boston. It is one of my specialties! Charlestown now has a Whole Foods Market, just 3 blocks away from my house.
Also residing in my apartment is BlackJack21. He is a 9-year old Dutch rabbit, who is friendly and *lives free-range in the condo*, moving about as he pleases -- oh, and he's litter box trained, too in case you are wondering about that. If he knudges you with his nose, that is his way of saying hello and that he wants you to pet him. Watch out if you are eating anything crunchy...he loves chips and will beg for them if you are eating them.
My favorite city in the entire world is London, and I would move there in a heartbeat --if I could take my job and pet rabbit with me! [Perhaps we could do a house swap if you have a property in England?]
