This quaint, sunny, freshly painted bedroom is located within a 2 bedroom condominium which was built in 1875, and located on a quiet residential street, just 3 short blocks from Bunker Hill Monument in historic Charlestown -- which is right on the Freedom Trail, and home of the Bunker Hill Monument!
The bedroom is furnished with a new twin daybed, fresh linens, an antique desk; as well as wireless internet [also throughout the condo].
The kitchen and bath are located on the same floor, and a light cold breakfast will be offered if you choose; as well as a Kreiug coffee machine, espresso; or even hot tea/chocolate.
Charlestown is a little over 1 mile from the downtown financial district of Boston. Boston Logan Airport is a quick 12 minutes away; and South Station, where the trains and buses come in, is just 3 miles away.
I am a gracious hostess in every sense of the word. Offering a friendly face to come home to and a warm and cozy atmosphere to relax in.
Guest will have access to outdoor deck, if he or she chooses.
I love my nice neighbors, merchants and the community around in which I live, as well as our brick sidewalks, pretty colored houses, apartments and condos. And there's always a dog that is being walked if you like the 4-legged creatures as well.
At the corner of Bunker Hill Street and School Street is the #93 bus that routes you down Bunker Hill St., around the monument and through to the downtown Boston.
On the corner of School and Main Street is the #92 bus that routes you down Main Street, and routes you down Main Street and through also through downtown Boston.
To get to the Orange Train Line: Walk straight down Mystic St to Bunker Hill Street, cross the street and then down School St., then make a left onto Main St., and a right onto Austin Street (at the traffic light). The walk is just 4 blocks from my apartment.
Please be mindful if walking from the Orange Line to my apartment it is *mostly up hill*.
Other Things to Note
You are more than welcomed to keep meals and liquids in the refrigerator.
I have a very friendly pet rabbit. Those with allergies to rabbits (and often cats) are not recommended to stay here.
No recreational drug use allowed. No smoking in or around the unit, or it's entry/exit ways, including the deck.
Check out / check in will be discussed once accepted as a guest.
Words can not capture the amazing experience I had while I stayed in Charlestown, with Rosalia. She was very welcoming, responsive, and just overall great. I felt welcome even prior to my arrival because of the great communication I had with her. The condo is just as described and pictured. And Charlestown is a great part of the city. The room was clean, well appointed, and comfortable. I really did feel at home staying with Rosalia. We had great conversations and I can even now call her a friend, even after just 2 days. We even spent a night out on the town together, exploring Boston. I don't think my experience in Boston would have been as great if it wasn't for Rosalia. Thanks for a wonderful time in Boston Rosalia! See you and Jack again soon, hopefully!
Rosales was an excellent host! Very helpful once I had booked with her, providing detailed and prompt answers to all my questions. Staying with her was very comfortable and she went out of her way to ensure that I had everything I needed including medicine for a cold. I'd definitely stay with her were I to visit Boston again. Thank you!
Rosalia is fabulous! Incredibly welcoming, relaxed, and affable, we had a wonderful evening of conversation. The neighborhood is adorable. Everything in the room I stayed in was comfy, easy to find, and I felt very taken care of! Would absolutely stay with her again!
Rosalia made me feel very welcome and also gave some great tips on stuff to do locally. Being a newcomer to Boston I knew nothing about the area and it's safe, quiet, ideally placed for the airport and exploring both the surrounds/ Boston/ Cambridge and beyond. I would certainly stay here again, Rosalia's a top host and makes you feel like you're staying with a good friend, she really went out of her way to make the stay enjoyable and easy.
There's also the added bonus of a Wholefoods within 10 mins walk, which is great if you'd rather buy food to eat in. A great all round Airbnb experience – thank you for having me again.
Rosalia was very accommodating and hospitable. Was there for business and enjoyed my stay. Place was as described. $10/$15 cab ride from downtown Boston.
Rosalia was a very welcoming hostess. The bedroom was clean and comfortable. Charlestown is a nice historic neighborhood to explore.
Rosalia was an awesome host! She kept in contact with me as I approached my stay. Once I arrived, she was quick to offer plenty of much appreciated suggestions to enjoy the area.
The condo is indeed sunny and quaint. Catching the bus or taking a slightly longer stroll directly to the 'T' was a breeze! (If you're planning on public transport -- buy a 3-day/week/month pass: they're invaluable once you start getting a feel for where you want to jump around in the city and neighboring vicinity).
All in all, I really just want to share my appreciation for Rosalia opening her home to travelers like myself. She is very pleasant and a very friendly person to just hang out with. :)
Hi and welcome to my humble home! I am Rosalia, a young professional and part-time yoga teacher. I have lived in Boston for 13 years and love entertaining visitors from near and far.
I am an easy going person -- in my home, at work, and even when I travel. Yoga is my real passion.
I consider myself a foodie being the daughter of a retired executive chef, so I am happy to recommend any type of restaurant during your stay in Boston. It is one of my specialties! Charlestown now has a Whole Foods Market, just 3 blocks away from my house.
Also residing in my apartment is BlackJack21. He is a 9-year old Dutch rabbit, who is friendly and lives free-range in the condo, coming and going as he pleases -- oh, and he's litter box trained, too. He can stay in his cage during the night if you prefer. If he knudges you with his nose, that is his way of telling you he wants you to pet him. Watch out if you are eating anything crunchy...he loves chips and will beg for them if you are eating them.
My favorite city in the entire world is London, and I would move there in a heartbeat --if I could take my job and pet rabbit with me! [Perhaps we could do a house swap if you have a property in England?]
