Arthur is an amazing host. This isn't a typical air b&b place (an apartment, a room) this is an actual professional b&b. The grounds are beautiful. He has his own vineyard. There is also a beautiful pool. The rooms are really cozy, antique and comfortable. Arthur couldn't be a nicer guy. He is very focused on the experience of the guest. He greeted us with fresh lemonade (lemons from his tress!). The breakfast he prepared was fresh, light and delicious . Almost everything was homemade or from a neighbor/relative. Also, talking to Arthur about Portugal really enriched our experience. He is incredibly knowledgable about food, history, current events etc. Talking to him was worth staying there alone. He was very good with recommendations of the surrounding area. Please note that you do need a car to get here. But well worth it. Arthur explained that he recently joined airbnb. You can read his other glowing reviews at trip advisor. I would find it very hard for someone to say a bad word about him. Takes being a host very seriously and it shows! Would love to come back again for the grape harvest!
