The home is in a Belizean neighbourhood. sits at the end of an un paved street. It has a central american village atmosphere as does the town of San Pedro. We are surrounded by trees and birds! Feels like home. Breezy with great view. Easy walk to watch sunrise and sunset on the beach or lagoon. The destination for the mindful traveller.
I have two bicycles guests may use at no cost.
I do suggest guests rent a cart (to explore far north or further south.) I can help with the rental.
Other rooms available downstairs for groups of 3 to 8. Email me for details...
Also for the birders out there....I have the following birds confirmed in my garden
Lets add to the list!
There are endless activities on the island. Diving. Snorkelling. Reef. Restaurants. Local stores and fresh tortillas made locally!
If you would like breakfast please let me know. There is an additional charge of $10 more per person. I make a hot delicious breakfast with fresh fruits.
I have wonderful contacts in the Cayo/San Ignacio area. If you need help with accommodation in that area I can help. Also with tours to ATM, Xunantunich etc. Local world class guides!

Interaction with Guests
The studio is completely private on the top floor and guests can have as little or as much interactions as needed to be comfortable!
Larger groups will have access to the top floor and the second floor. Sleeps groups of 6!
It is a real Belizean neighbourhood. My neighbours are Belizean. There is a world class restaurant very close. Signature cocktails and tasteful tapas. If you are in the mood for a warm croissant, wander to the bakery. Its also close to a lovely swimming pool and the incredible endless, beach.
I have two bikes for guests. You can walk to the beach, pool, store and restaurants. I suggest renting a golf-cart which can be delivered to the property. Either my taxi guy or I will pick you up from the airport or water taxi. Let me know your details.

This was our best stay in Belize. Beautiful comfortable beds in a nice bright room with a fabulous breeze. The balcony is huge and surrounded by trees. Diana was warm and welcoming and made us feel at home. She is helpful, accommodating and a wealth of information on things to do on the island. Diana offered us the use of bicycles, however we chose to rent a golf cart which gave us more accessibility to the entire island. She was always interested in what we were going to do and gave suggestions of what we might enjoy. She was also eager to hear about what we did each day.
We look forward to returning to Ambergris one day and we will definitely plan to stay here again. Thank you Diana.
Diana was quite the host! From the very first day, she made us feel welcomed. She placed a beautiful sign on her board, sat with us to review our itinerary for the weekend and provided us with the accommodations necessary to get around. The review is spot on! It is a quiet haven in the trees. The facilities were not only clean but better than a hotel! The following amenities came in quite handy for left overs and saving snacks: fridge, microwave, glasses, plates and utensils. We are so glad we stayed here for our first half our honeymoon experience in Belize. After coming off a long flight and the hustle bustle of NYC, it was nice to lay back and enjoy the cool island breeze in the hammock and eat tasty food at night. Definitely listen and follow all of Diana's recommendations as they were SPOT on! She not only knows the island but many people know her very well and she has a good rapport with everyone!
Diana was a wonderful host, and her treetop suite was exactly as advertised. In fact, it was more - we weren't expecting the iguana, gecko, bird, and raccoon visitors - awesome! And beautiful flowers cascaded onto our deck. The suite was very clean upon our arrival, and Crystal the housekeeper kept it that way. Diana has prepared a handy map of the south island that she calls "Diana's Treasure Map" - her favorite places. This was most helpful - I referred to it daily and it kept me from getting lost or back-tracking. She provided a local cell phone for our use, with useful numbers loaded into the Contacts. The bikes were also a nice touch. Both of these were provided free of charge as a courtesy, and it saved us time and money. The local airport landing strip is very close, so planes taking off and landing is a bit loud. But they are small planes, and they don't start until 7 a.m., and don't fly late at night, so it's not a problem. In fact, my adult kids and I rather enjoyed the 7 a.m. "alarm" so we wouldn't waste away our time sleeping late! I highly recommend Diana's very private treetop suite. If I return to San Pedro, that's where I'll stay, for sure.
Are stay with Diana was great in the treetop suite. She would check with us every morning and ask how our stay is going, and is there anything she could do to make our stay better. Diana arranged a dive with sunset cruise on a catamaran with Coral tours (those guys did a great job), had a golf cart delivered for us the one day the first week and again the second week, and another dive with Belize diving adventures. She had a map of San Pedro with some places she recommend. We did find Pinocchio's just down the street from Diana's a great Italian rest. & Pizzeria. Diana would take us swimming at her favorite place or just to the store for belikin and some food. When we would come back home Darwin would be at the top of his steps to with a wagging tail of welcome.
Diana is the BEST AirBnb host I've had thus far, and I've used AirBnB all over Europe. She arranged for us to get picked up from the airport, she provided breakfast for us every morning (fresh papaya, granola and yogurt), bikes for the week, and even a cell phone to use to call or text her during our stay if we had any problems. The room is great, we honestly didn't spend much time in it, other than to sleep because we were out exploring every day. She helped us get connected with a catamaran tour, which we had a blast on. Thorough Diana, we got connected with other guests staying at her place as well as others in the area. I would absolutely recommend that you stay at Diana's over a resort. Her place is only a 10 minute bike ride to the city center, and honestly, biking is the best way to get around. If the other reviews don't convince you, I hope this one will. You won't regret your stay at Diana's!
Diana was an ideal host - she took great care of us and even helped arranged our day trips and activities. The space was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed.
Amazing, fantastic, phenomenal....these words don't even begin to describe the time we had in Belize. Diana is truly an amazing host and person, and we are so very lucky to have met her. The treetop suite was exquisite, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom spacious, and all our needs were met. There is nothing like falling asleep to a passing storm and waking up to the sun and birds. Breakfast was always delicious, a perfect start to the day.
Diana goes far beyond what is expected or dreamed of by a host. She set us up on the most amazing snorkeling and catamaran tours. She also introduced us to her friend Hector, one of the kindest and most generous people we have ever met, who kindly agreed to show us around San Ignacio for a day. Diana helped us find anything we could ask for and provided us with a map of some of the best places to see and eat at on the island.
We had an incredible trip and can't wait to come back!
