My mom and I stayed in Diana's treetop suite and it was amazing! Super breezy and you have the most astounding view of the stars at night! Diana was a lovely hostess and made us very welcome. She suggested and arranged a catamaran trip with snorkeling and a trip to the nearby island Caye Caulker. I highly recommend this. It felt very luxurious and we met some fantastic people. We stayed at Diana's our last few nights in Belize and it was a perfect ending to a wonderful trip! Thank you Diana!
I am amazed that I found this fabulous place. Diana is so incredible and wonderful. She welcomed me and Bella (dog) into her home as if we were family. The home was perfect with one king bed, bathroom and a kitchen you could cook any meal. Being on top of the house the breeze was perfect and only used the air conditioner at night. She is wonderful host and now that we live in San Pedro, I can always say she was my first friend in Belize! Please stay there, you will be forever grateful you did!!!
I am so happy that we chose Diana's treetop suite during our 3-night stay in San Pedro. The space was magnificent and so relaxing.
Immediately upon our arrival, Diana sent a taxi to pick me and my boyfriend up from the Belize Express water taxi dock and it was a quick ride to Diana's home located in a little village off the beach (quick 3-min bike ride to the Xanadu resort which also has the closest swimming dock). It truly made us feel more like locals by staying here. She greeted us when we got to the house and gave us a couple Belikins while we chatted about her extremely helpful "treasure map" which lays out her favorite spots in San Pedro (restaurants, bars, best docks to swim off of, etc). We found it to be a very valuable source throughout our whole stay. Diana even helped set us up with the Catamaran which took us snorkeling around Hol Chan Marine Reserve and Shark Ray Alley and then we sunset-cruised/sailed on the Carribbean back toward San Pedro.
Another helpful part of our stay were the bicycles that Diana provided. These free bicycles are very much needed to get you around the island, especially when you don't want to pay to rent a golf cart.
I highly recommend booking with Diana on your stay in San Pedro. She will make you feel like you're "home" on this beautiful island.
We had a terrific time staying at Treetop Suite. Diana was a great hostess, quickly responding to our every need. We loved the breeze in the treetops! The complimentary bikes and cell phone proved very useful, and the Belizean neighborhood gave us a cross-cultural experience
Diana was an absolutely brilliant host. She did an incredible job of making us feel at home and helping us explore and discover interesting places in San Pedro with her excellent recommendations / tips - from great restaurants and fun tours (boat trip to the backside of the island was a particularly fantastic one). The room is lovely and very comfortable and the patio has a tremendous view. The house is a bit further off the beaten track than the main hotels and the walk back from the beach at night time is a bit disconcerting with limited lighting a great number of mosquitos. Overall we had a great time and Diana is an absolute star!
Couldn't have ask for a better host! Diana greeted us when we arrived (via her sweet taxi driver, Cansino) with a hug and a smile. She had two cold beers waiting for us in the fridge which was much needed after traveling! Her treasure map is incredibly convenient, so make sure you keep that in mind. The suite was the perfect size for my boyfriend and I and was always kept tidy by her housekeeper. Diana is such a genuine person and we look forward to spending more nights on her patio in the future. We will miss her and her dog Darwin!
My friend and I stayed at Diana's treetop suite for nine lovely days. It was INCREDIBLE! We kind of chose Belize on a whim and hadn't done much research on San Pedro prior to our arrival, so we weren't exactly sure what we were getting into. Much to our surprise and excitement, Diana welcomed us with cold beer and a friendly smile. She gave us her own map of places to visit/see/eat at on Ambergris Caye which was SUPER helpful. She even gave us two bikes as well as a cell phone to use! Her house is absolutely amazing, too. She checked in with us each morning which was very nice, and any questions we had (and we had LOTS!) she answered promptly and honestly. My friend actually got really sick from something early on in the trip and needed to visit a doctor so Diana sent us to the free clinic on the island and was on call in the middle of the night basically to make sure we were doing okay. She even made my friend homemade soup and arranged for her antibiotics to be sent over from Belize City. Now THAT is a truly incredible host. In fact, we started calling her our hostmom because she was basically like our mother in Belize. :) I cannot say enough positive things about our stay with Diana. We knew it would be great given the tons and tons of positive reviews on here, but she really exceeded our expectations. It was our first big international trip (we came from NYC), and we really couldn't have survived without her. You will not regret a stay at Diana's lovely home- I guarantee it!
P.S. She has an ADORABLE doggy named Darwin who greeted us every morning with a wagging tail and licks! :)
