This charming and spacious 1 br apartment is located in a beautiful pre-war building the heart of Capitol Hill, a neighborhood conveniently located and known for its beautiful architecture and great restaurants, cafes, and art galleries. Despite having a bustling night life and huge array of choices for eating and entertainment, the apartment is located in a very quiet and safe street, mainly occupied by families but a 10 minute walk from all the fun and only 20 minute walk to downtown. No car necessary, bus stops are a block away if needed!
If you are coming from the AIRPORT you may take the light rail to downtown followed by a $7 cab ride, a $2.50 bus ride, or a 20 minute walk.
The apartment is fully furnished and has a spacious living room, a work/desk area, a kitchen and eating area as well as bedroom with a Queen size bed and a full bathroom. The apartment faces West so the afternoon/evening light is absolutely beautiful, there are antique tudor style windows that wrap around the entire unit which allows for lots of light and a nice breeze if you want it. It features hardwood floors, and lots of art and books to keep you inspired. This kind of charm is hard to find!
The apartment has free wireless internet that I share with my neighbor (legally). The connection is spotty in the bedroom but works well everywhere else in the apartment, I don't have any problems with it. Although it works well for me and most guests, two people have had issues with it in past stays. Please note that I am no expert and I can try to help fix it but if I am unable to, there is nothing I can do. If you depend on the internet to do work during your stay, please take this into consideration. There is a lovely coffee shop a block away with internet access for worst-case-scenarios.

I had a great time staying at Rafael's place in Capitol Hill. It's really exactly as described. It's cozy, sweet, comfortable and the location is wonderful. The building is really historic and beautiful.
My only complaint might be that the bedroom was a little noisy at night if you have the window open. I just put on some white noise after the first night and I was fine but if you are a light sleeper that might bother you.
I loved Rafael's place I highly recommend it.
Rafael was a helpful host, checking in and out was frictionless, and the apartment was lovely and in an amazing location. We couldn't have asked for a more pleasant airbnb experience.
We didn't get a chance to meet Rafael, but he set up everything perfectly for us and made the whole experience easy. His apartment is really lovely and located in a great spot for exploring Seattle, especially the Capitol Hill neighbourhood. We walked pretty much everywhere we wanted to go, and had tons of great shops, restaurants and bars to choose from within a few blocks!
I had a great time spending a week in Rafael's place. The apartment is very well-decorated, spacious, and clean. The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful and has coffee shops and stores within walking distance. I would love to stay again the next time I'm in Seattle.
Rafael’s place is wonderful! We stayed over Thanksgiving and loved it. The apartment is most beautifully decorated and in walking distance of all the bars and restaurants on Capitol Hill. Highly recommended as a host.
We had a great time in Seattle and especially loved being on Capitol Hill within walking distance of many great restaurants. Rafael was a wonderful host and easily accessible when we had some internet connection concerns. His condo is clean, charming, filled with interesting artwork and was very quiet for being in the middle of the city. It was a great place to stay with the only downside being nowhere to hang up clothes. We would stay here again and recommend it to friends!
Rafael's apartment is great : beautiful interior, comfortable, clean and quiet. It feels like a home! The neighborhood is perfect, lots of cafes and restaurants and close to downtown.
Everything went smoothly and Rafael gave us nice tips about the city when we met him. He is a great host. We definitely recommend this place if you want to have a wonderful time in Seattle!
Beautifully charming place, convenient location. Wasn't super clean, but Rafael worked with me on that ASAP and was easy to reach. Check-in/out super flexible and easy. Parking a challenge if you have a car, but you may not need one unless traveling far outside city. Walkable neighborhood, bus stop a block away.
We stayed at Rafael’s place for a few days and we did not regret choosing his place over hotels or other Airbnb spots!
Rafael was easy to communicate with and coordinated a check in with his friend Bryan, since he was not in Seattle.
The apartment is located in a lovely and lively neighborhood where you will find lots of bar and restaurant options. There is even a very nice grocery store (Trader Joe’s) just a few blocks away if you prefer to eat at home. You can walk (downhill…) to Downtown Seattle in about 25 min and the bus would take you there in less than 15 min. A bus stop is located 2 minutes away from the apartment.
The apartment itself is wonderful. It is huge (at least compared to what I am used to in NYC), marvelously decorated and furnished and it is a very relaxing place!
Make sure to check the backyard! We took advantage of it the two nights that we stayed by having pre-dinner drinks and snacks, while sitting on the bench, enjoying the sun and the refreshing breeze.
We ran into several neighbors and they were all charming and know about Rafael’s airbnb hosting.
The only downside was the wifi signal which was not very strong so we had issues connecting our phones to it… but 3G was good enough for internet browsing and email checking…
Overall it was a great experience, at an unbeatable price, so I would not hesitate to stay there again if I go back to Seattle!
Rafael's flat was perfect for our stay in Seattle. It is a beautifully decorated flat, full of fabulous photos to look at and books to browse! There is lots of space and a well equipped kitchen. The neighbourhood is great too with Trader Joe's nearby and some great bars and restaurants. Would definately stay again if we go back to Seattle!
