Warm & Charming 1br in Capitol Hill

Apartment - Entire home/apt · 17th Ave, Seattle, WA 98122, United States

The Space

This charming and spacious 1 br apartment is located in a beautiful pre-war building the heart of Capitol Hill, a neighborhood conveniently located and known for its beautiful architecture and great restaurants, cafes, and art galleries. Despite having a bustling night life and huge array of choices for eating and entertainment, the apartment is located in a very quiet and safe street, mainly occupied by families but a 10 minute walk from all the fun and only 20 minute walk to downtown. No car necessary, bus stops are a block away if needed!

If you are coming from the AIRPORT you may take the light rail to downtown followed by a $7 cab ride, a $2.50 bus ride, or a 20 minute walk.

The apartment is fully furnished and has a spacious living room, a work/desk area, a kitchen and eating area as well as bedroom with a Queen size bed and a full bathroom. The apartment faces West so the afternoon/evening light is absolutely beautiful, there are antique tudor style windows that wrap around the entire unit which allows for lots of light and a nice breeze if you want it. It features hardwood floors, and lots of art and books to keep you inspired. This kind of charm is hard to find!

The apartment has free wireless internet that I share with my neighbor (legally). The connection is spotty in the bedroom but works well everywhere else in the apartment, I don't have any problems with it. Although it works well for me and most guests, two people have had issues with it in past stays. Please note that I am no expert and I can try to help fix it but if I am unable to, there is nothing I can do. If you depend on the internet to do work during your stay, please take this into consideration. There is a lovely coffee shop a block away with internet access for worst-case-scenarios.

  • My wife and I had the most wonderful time staying at this beautiful home, and warm and charming are two perfect words to describe it. The apartment is so well put together with beautiful art and furniture, and with the gorgeous evening light streaming in it was such a nice place to have a glass of wine before heading out for the evening.

We also loved the neighborhood, very cool with many close amenities and shops in walking distance.

The host too was incredible. He's kind and friendly and was very accommodating around both our arrival and departure time. I will recommend staying at this apartment to every person I know traveling to Seattle.

  • Great Neighborhood, Rafael was a great host. Apartment was very nice and quiet, its an old building so there are a few random noises while you sleep. Overall, It was a great stay and would recommend his place to anyone.

  • I had a great time staying at Rafael's place in Capitol Hill. It's really exactly as described. It's cozy, sweet, comfortable and the location is wonderful. The building is really historic and beautiful.

My only complaint might be that the bedroom was a little noisy at night if you have the window open. I just put on some white noise after the first night and I was fine but if you are a light sleeper that might bother you.

I loved Rafael's place I highly recommend it.

  • Rafael was a helpful host, checking in and out was frictionless, and the apartment was lovely and in an amazing location. We couldn't have asked for a more pleasant airbnb experience.

  • We didn't get a chance to meet Rafael, but he set up everything perfectly for us and made the whole experience easy. His apartment is really lovely and located in a great spot for exploring Seattle, especially the Capitol Hill neighbourhood. We walked pretty much everywhere we wanted to go, and had tons of great shops, restaurants and bars to choose from within a few blocks!

  • Rafael's apartment is in a charming older building on Capital Hill, walking distance from Stumptown Coffee and Trader Joe's. What's not to like? We had a great stay.

Rafael was very accomodating of our schedule, arranging for us to leave our luggage at his work while we had breakfast at a nearby cafe and his previous tenant departed. This worked out well for us and we appreciate his help making that happen.

He is a sweet host and his apartment is comfy with good light and fresh air.

  • Great location for walking just about everywhere. Rafael was very communicative and helpful with orientation to neighborhood. Lack of TV and minor plumbing issues were only negatives.

  • Rafael's place was the perfect location for my first visit to Seattle. It was very clean and well decorated, mostly with photographs that Rafael had taken himself. Trader Joe's was 2 blocks away so we were able to save some money by getting some bottles of wine and snacks; made us feel like we were locals. The apartment was close to a lot of great bars, restaurants, and shops and in walking distance to downtown. I would recommend everyone stay there if you are wanting to stay in the heart of it all!

  • Can't beat the location. It was fun feeling more like a citizen than a tourist. The Capitol Hill area is a great place to explore and almost everything is in walking distance.
