The house is nestled on a hill in the middle of the woods (we took a winding back road to get to it, though there is a paved alternate route to the location). If you're looking to be in the middle of nature, to breathe in fresh air, while eating a tasty heated cinnamon buns (courtesy of our hostess) this is the place for you.
On top of the hill, the views from the house are beautiful surrounded by tall trees and blue sky. Inside the house, with its all wood interior, you'll find it's filled with beautiful Mata Ortiz Mexican pottery. While the house and the views were beautiful, it was definitely the sweet hospitality of our hostess Danna that made the stay enjoyable. The stay included breakfast in the morning, fresh fruit, fresh juice, yogurt, toast, and easy going conversation. There are only 2 rooms fitting 4 people so your stay will feel like a true BnB. Danna was also very helpful in providing recommendations on the many wineries nearby to check out.
Thanks Danna for the great hospitality. We definitely will be looking to stay there again if we make our way back up to McMinnville.
Danna was a most informative and gracious host. She went way beyond the call of duty communicating with me when I was having difficulty signing up with Airbnb.
Her breakfasts were simple, healthy, and satisfying. The bed was comfortable and the large flat screen TV in the common area (serviced by DirecTV) was wonderful.
Danna was extremely helpful with providing local advice on restaurants, wineries, and info on traffic conditions and strategies in the Portland area. Enjoyed my stay!
Fantastic airbnb experience! I spent a weekend at Danna's place when I visited McMinnville for a friend's wedding. I had no trouble finding the place using Danna's directions. I was greeted upon arrival and oriented to the home. Danna is very friendly and warm and I thoroughly enjoyed conversing with her. My room and the bathroom were very clean. The bed was very comfortable and Danna provided plenty of warm blankets but I found the temperature to be quite comfortable. Breakfast consisted of coffee, juice, fruit and quiche-all of which was delicious. If I'm ever back in the area, I won't hesistate to book with Danna again.
Danna was very nice and hospitable and made us a very delicious breakfast each morning. The location is great, the house is very clean and cozy, and the views are fantastic. We definitely recommend Danna's Airbnb for anybody staying in Oregon, a unique location and a great experience!
Really enjoyed my stay at Danna's. We had interesting talks over the lovely breakfasts she had for me. I loved sitting outside and taking in both the morning and evening, taking in the bird and insect song, with the occasional glimpse of the muppet like alpacas in the fields below. The trees around the house framed the stars quite well. The bed was comfy and she just got new wifi as well (cell service is less reliable). The house was an easy drive to McMinnville and all it has to offer
Hi Danna. Thanks for the great stay and for the quick response at such short notice.
Danna was great! She was very welcoming, friendly, and happy to chat or leave us to our own. This is a very beautiful, tranquil location but near enough to McMinnville for extremely quick access. If we are down in MAC again, we will be excited to stay with Danna.

IMPORTANT DIRECTIONS: DON'T LET YOUR GPS SEND YOU ON A GRAVEL ROAD! Go to the town of McMinnville then set your GPS for my address. Too many guest have arrived wide-eyed and blanched from the gravel road trek!
I am a retired teacher who still enjoys taking on various jobs with the local school district to stay up to date in the field. I recently moved back to my home in the foothills of the coast range, having learned that I am not cut out for city life. Since I love the Oregon country so much, I decided to share my paradise with other travelers.
I recently traveled through India for nine weeks and Australia for five weeks spending much of my time in home stays or B&B's. It allowed me to see a side of the life and culture that otherwise remains hidden to most vacationers who stay on the beaten path. I could be as public or private as I wanted in each situation, but still had access to the local point of view and insights. Please know that I will be sensitive to your needs whether it be quiet, alone time or questions and answers about the local culture, sights and events.
My long term passions include horseback riding (since I was four), boating, reading and traveling. Recently, I have fallen in love with scuba diving which has led me to some interesting places.
I look forward to hosting you in my home and making your trip as pleasant as possible while discovering the beautiful sights of Oregon's Cascade Range, the Willamette Valley Wine Country, and the magnificent coastal beaches and viewpoints.
