Danna's place was so great! It was really nice to stay away from town, with nice views! The room and space were super clean, spacious and very accommodating. The breakfast and coffee in the morning were very tasty as well. We really appreciated the 2 for 1 wine tasting coupon she left us in our room for R Stuart. We really enjoyed our time in McMinnville and have already highly recommended this place for others to stay.
We had a great time staying at Dannas place. The atmosphere was just as it was described on the website. I loved the beautiful yard and the upkeep as well as the view. Danna was a very kind and helpful host. We had everything we needed and we felt very comfortable. I will definitely come back and recommend Willis Road Wayside to all my friends and family.
Danna was there ready to greet us on our arrival. We were not disappointed, the house and surroundings are absolutely beautiful, our accommodation was very comfortable and spacious. Danna even had local chocolates and hazelnuts for us in our room.
The breakfasts were delicious and we enjoyed talking to Danna and hearing about her travels. She was very helpful with regard to restaurants etc in the local area. We would definitely stay there again if we return to the area. It would be a great place for two couples to stay and enjoy.
The reservation was canceled 8 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Danna's place is just beautiful. McMinnville itself is also really worth a visit.
When we arrived there was a roaring fire, Danna showed us to our room downstairs, which felt like a self contained flat (as there was no one in the second bedroom). Really private and cosy living space with incredible views. Danna pulls out the stops to make it a special visit. Her breakfast is beautiful, great chef! Would go back in a jiffy.
What a lovely oasis tucked in the McMinnville hills! Danna did everything to make our stay both special and relaxing. The local chocolates and luxurious robes were a nice surprise and the breakfasts were fabulous! Dipping in the hot tub after a long day of wine tasting was a treat as well. Danna went out of her way to make sure we knew how to navigate around town, which restaurants to try and local areas to explore. Above all, we really enjoyed our conversations with Danna and felt right at ease in her home. We look forward to staying again next time we're visiting the area! :)
Beautiful space tucked up in the clouds on a hillside.
Danna was extremely hospitable and took great care of us. Hope to stay again in the future!

IMPORTANT DIRECTIONS: DON'T LET YOUR GPS SEND YOU ON A GRAVEL ROAD! Go to the town of McMinnville then set your GPS for my address. Too many guest have arrived wide-eyed and blanched from the gravel road trek!
I am a retired teacher who still enjoys taking on various jobs with the local school district to stay up to date in the field. I recently moved back to my home in the foothills of the coast range, having learned that I am not cut out for city life. Since I love the Oregon country so much, I decided to share my paradise with other travelers.
I recently traveled through India for nine weeks and Australia for five weeks spending much of my time in home stays or B&B's. It allowed me to see a side of the life and culture that otherwise remains hidden to most vacationers who stay on the beaten path. I could be as public or private as I wanted in each situation, but still had access to the local point of view and insights. Please know that I will be sensitive to your needs whether it be quiet, alone time or questions and answers about the local culture, sights and events.
My long term passions include horseback riding (since I was four), boating, reading and traveling. Recently, I have fallen in love with scuba diving which has led me to some interesting places.
I look forward to hosting you in my home and making your trip as pleasant as possible while discovering the beautiful sights of Oregon's Cascade Range, the Willamette Valley Wine Country, and the magnificent coastal beaches and viewpoints.
