About This Listing
In a recently fully renovated house, we offer a studio of 45 m² situated on the ground floor, away from the street- very quiet, and cool in summer. A flower-filled patio with a fountain + a patio with a fishpond.
The studio features a large comfortable queen-size bed (160 cm), firm "latex" memory-foam mattress, an Italian shower in an open bathroom with a separate toilet. There is also a sitting area with a TV and a very comfortable sofa.
An efficiency kitchen offers all the necessary equipment (refrigerator/ freezer, hotplates, kettle, toaster, oven...). You can dine (table + chairs) under the lovely partly-covered 15 m² patio with its flowers and fountain.
Wi-Fi and television.
There is also a wardrobe and a large storage cabinet, as well as a washing machine and drying rack.
Access to the studio is through a private entrance and patio.
Interaction with Guests
With its private entrance (No. 3 rue Trianon), the studio is independent from the rest of the house.
On an Arles map, I will show you how to find all of the must-see "spots"!
The district is truly delightful- friendly, yet cosmopolitan, located about 200 metres form a square with shops, cafés and restaurants of every kind (Lebanese, Moroccan, vegetarian, Italian, Basque...). We adore its picturesque character!
Saturday mornings, you are just steps from the largest open-air market in Provence, which wraps around the ancient city centre.
The train station is only 20 minutes on foot walking along the quays (quite easy: just straight ahead!). There are two free shuttles ("Navia A") every hour from the train station that bring you to the Roquette district, and very near the house.
If you come by car, I will show you where to find free parking, next to the house. Since everything is accessible on foot, you can leave your car and enjoy strolling through the city, its museums and monuments.
Other Things to Note
If you wish being led everywhere in the area, for a comfortable day or a half-day of excursion, I can recommend you a driver of confidence, who knows very well Provence and who charges reasonably.
Please turn off all lights when not needed and when you leave.
You may smoke outside on the patios.
We had a wonerful few days at Danielle's studio. It was easy to find. It has the feeling of home about it, surrounded by her beautiful warm touches. You had everything you could think of, even your own courtyard! Arles was a wonderful town to stay in, festive with a great atmosphere. The Saturday markets were amazing. Danielle was very helpful giving us a few great tips about local attractions. I would highly recommend her place.
We had a wonderful stay in a space that has been very tastefully decorated. The apartment is very large and has a very nice private courtyard. Daniele was very responsive and provided a very informative talk about things to see and do as well as to buy groceries and sit for meals.
The apartment is situated in a maze of mainly pedestrian narrow streets but easy enough to find walking along the quay from the train station. Danielle is friendly and welcomes you with advice on things to do and where they are located. It is a good base slightly away from the tourist centre, but the Roman antiquities are within an easy walk. The bus station is also convenient, where Danielle recommended the bus to the Camargue. The ground-floor apartment is set back from the street and therefore shielded from street noise, but noise within the building itself travels. The apartment is open-plan and spacious but darker than the photos suggest, even on the brightest of days. Lights are needed during the day and at night these are not good enough to read books by. (And please note that one of the photos features the owners' private terrace which you cannot use although other outdoor areas are as shown.) The kitchen cupboard appeared to be well equipped but unfortunately there is nowhere to prepare food nor is there a suitable table indoors on which to eat. It rained whilst we were there and this lack of table, place to prepare food and poor light made the apartment very gloomy. Curtains are very thin and one of the bedroom windows has none at all, making it feel less private than we had expected. If the weather is good and you are using it as a base to explore it could be a suitable option.
Daniele was amazing and extremely helpful in finding our way around Arles and nearby sites. The studio exceeded our expectations and is perfect for an extended stay. Even on a rainy day, we stayed in and the studio made for a wonderful day in the outdoor covered courtyard. It included much appreciated amenities too including a hair dryer, refrigerator, washing machine and clothes line which were helpful to us. This was definitely our favorite place during our 10-day trip through France. Thank you Daniele!
Amazing house in a fantastic location in the center of Arles. Daniele was very helpful and funny. All si great. Merci
Danielle is a wonderful host. She welcomed us upon arrival - even helped us park the car! She gave us lots of helpful information about the area: restaurants, best shops for cheese, pastry and bread. The listing is as described- very well appointed with a lot of room and a lovely outside patio area. This was our first experience with Airbnb. We are used to nice accommodations when traveling and Danielle's apartment was perfect. Thank you, Danielle.
È stata una bellissima esperienza, Daniele è un'host perfetto, ci ha dato tutte le indicazioni possibili per migliorare la nostra visita ad Arles, la casa era bellissima, pulita ed accogliente, davvero da ripetere!

About the Host, Daniele
