Beautifully furnished 3-bedroom, 2 bath home in the very heart of Spoleto, near museums, restaurants, concerts. Walk to everything in the town and enjoy a gourmet kitchen, laundry room, premium tv. Perfect for a family or small group of friends.

The Space

This well-appointed home is the ideal base for exploring the town of Spoleto or heading out to all the nearby hill towns of Umbria. Perfect for a family or several friends, the house sleeps 4 to 6 in three bedrooms with two full baths with tubs and showers, full modern kitchen, spacious living room with home cinema, elegant furnishings and artwork, a very convenient laundry room with both washer and dryer, and an incomparable position at the very centre of the town. The private family retreat of an international designer who has supplied the apartment with every convenience for enjoying life in this gracious old town dedicated to art and culture, it is now available to guests for both short and long stays. First class opera, theatre, music, dance and museums all await you in the heart of the green heart of Italy! From the town centre you can walk to all the attractions nearby and frequent bus service will connect you to the train station and the many fascinating nearby towns. No car necessary, but if you have a car we recommend leaving it at the town parking area under the famous Buckminster Fuller dome--the "Spoletosfera"--located a 10-minute walk (or moving sidewalk ride) away.

Guest Access

Access to everything in the home is exclusively yours.

Interaction with Guests

We will meet you with the keys and show you over the house. Feel free to ask us questions via phone or email at any time!

The Neighborhood

The very heart of the old town centre means the last daily farmers market is a one-minute walk away, as are all the specialty shops and great restaurants on the market square. Museums, attractions and events are all just a few steps further (don't miss the mosaics in the Roman House which is just across the street).

Getting around

Regular bus service connects the center of town with the train station and the connecting buses running through the town and to nearby towns and villages. The Spoleto train station is on the Rome-Ancona line so a day trip to Rome is easy.

Other Things to Note

The Festival of Two Worlds, the Spoleto Summer Festival, the Stagione Lirica Sperimentale, Opera, Dance, Theater and lots of Music are available throughout the year and especially in the summer months. Hiking, bike rentals, horseback riding, truffle hunts, wine tours, olive oil tours: the Spoleto area is host to many events and activities.

  • An excellent place to stay which was much better than expected. We really enjoyed Spoleto and the apartment location. I would strongly recommend staying here.

  • Sophie communicated with me on a regular basis. I never met Sophie in person. It was a little difficult when I arrived as I was supposed to call when we got to Spoleto or message before, but no wifi before we left Rome and I didn't have a phone plan and finding a phone was difficult until the owner of a shop called Anna, Sophie's helper to come let us in. Not any of Sophie's fault., just made for an awkward start. The place was lovely. Having a washer and dryer was great after 3 weeks of travel. The home is located in a central location making everything easily accessible on foot, even for my husband who has a very bad knee. The neighborhood was quiet and we felt safe. I would definitely choose this location again when I return to Spoleto.

  • Our family had a lovely stay at this apartment in March of 2014. Very thoughtfully decorated home right in the middle of the historic center; the location cannot be beat. There were five of us staying here and it really felt like home, we even cooked a few meals in the kitchen buying fresh produce from the market square just down the block. Sophie's colleague Ana met us with keys late at night on our arrival and was very nice and helpful. The internet connection wasn't so great but other than that it was really a great place to stay in the fantastic borgo of Spoleto.

  • This home is a wonderful place to stay. Anna received us and completely explained how everything worked and made us feel welcome and at home. There was coffee, milk, and delicious breakfast breads in the beautiful kitchen waiting for us! Sophie is an excellent hostess. She responded to every question with ease and efficiency. She cheerfully helped us several times. I recommend this beautiful home with appreciation and enthusiasm. Spoleto is an old Umbrian town with lots of interesting things to see and do; I hope to return soon, and I would love to stay here again. Simply put, this elegant home for 6, Spoleto Center, is truly lovely and very comfortable, in a great location with excellent, caring hosts!

  • Spoleto is lovely- quiet and peaceful. This house was beautiful and up nearly at the top of the town, a quality residence with lovely kitchen, comfortable mattress, and very nice helpful people!
Very spacious and atmospheric. On the second floor, up a set of worn marble steps. We got the sense that it was a family home for a lng time, with tons of books and art yet updated for modern comfort. Thanks Sophie!

  • Spoleto was the highlight of our 5 weeks in Italy: VERY patient and helpful management by Sophie, Daria and Anna! Fabulous location in delightful Centro Storico..immediate walking to Duomo, aqueduct, Castle, main piazzas. Lovely, BIG apartment, well-equipped, clean, elegant close to all the best eating.
A lovely town, hard to leave, a wonderful apartment that one longs to return to, and, in fact, we did, for an extra 5 days. Spoleto is a perfect location for day-trips to Perugia, Assisi, Norcia, Trevi, etc., etc. Highest recommendation!

About
I've been living in the Spoleto area for more than 25 years and have been helping friends who have holiday homes in the area find great guests who will enjoy staying here for the past five years. I make sure the houses are ready for your arrival and are always even nicer than you'd expected. I want to ensure you have a great holiday and come to love and hopefully return to Umbria whenever you can. I also have a holiday cottage in upstate New York on a golf course on Otsego Lake, close to Cooperstown, on a property I share with my brother.
