We had a really good stay in The Gadson Gallery Guesthouse. Laura was waiting for us and we were allowed to stay in the room earlier as usual. Laura told us everything in a very friendly and kind way. She did her best to let us feel at home.
The room by itself was big enough for us two travellers, and it would be enough for one or even two person more. It was a very clean and save room in a save area, as much as we can say after one week.
We do not repent our decision to stay here and would stay here again, if we would come back to NY once more. We had a great time!! Thank you Laura.
Laura was very warm and welcoming. The room was spacious, clean and perfect for the two of us. The Harlem themed decor of the space truly added value to our experience. The beds and couches were comfortable and the place was secure and safe. It was an awesome experience!
100% recomendable.
My daughter and I had a great time staying in Laura's little apartment. The beds were comfy, hot water plentiful, and Laura was always on hand if we needed advice or help. It was great to have a kitchen to prepare food and with a full size fridge too. There is aircon, but as it was very warm whilst we were there, I still found it very hot at night, and the unit was quite noisy. The location was great - a few minutes walk to the subway or buses. We loved being in Harlem and felt safe even walking back late at night. I would recommend this place and hope to come back again!
I need to start by saying that Laura is an exceptional host! We traveled to US for summer vacation - parents & a 13 years old teen. We had to change the arrival hours a couple of times and Laura always answered fast being very understanding. We found the apartment in perfect order, very clean and as also seen the the pictures very nicely decorated. All appliances are working properly and the big fridge was great. It was so good a have a cold water / drink after a long day in the city in July! The apartment is very close to subway (4-5 min walk) which is very convenient. At the end of our stay Laura helped us with arranging airport transportation for a convenient price and we are grateful for her help.
We liked it a lot, a great experience and highly recommend Laura's apartment! Thank you Laura for everything!
About the Host, Laura

Prior to that I attended both High School and College here. Love exploring the cultures of others and exposing them to mine through all forms of art: Music, Dance,Visual Art, Textiles... . My home often hosts art lovers and collecters with artisans of the diaspora through boutique style events which my AirBNB guests are welcomed to attend. I am enjoying my new role as a "Village Inn Keeper" and look forward to making your NYC visit exceptional.
