This airy and bright carriage house studio is nestled on a quiet street in the heart of Virginia-Highland, one of Atlanta's most popular neighborhoods. Just blocks from Piedmont Park, Atlanta Botanical Gardens, the Beltline, Ponce City Market, and many restaurants and bars. Only 2 miles from the Emory, Georgia Tech, and Georgia State campuses. This studio apartment has a queen-sized bed, bathroom, large desk, and sitting area with a coffee maker, refrigerator, and microwave.
The space
The studio is above the property owner's garage. It is airy and bright with high peaked ceilings, making it feel like a treehouse. Many large windows open onto the balcony, backyard, and alley. A large desk area with one gig of WiFi makes this a perfect workplace. The queen-sized bed has a new mattress with 400 thread count sheets, many pillows, a blanket, and a fluffy duvet to keep you warm. The studio does not have a full kitchen but a small refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. Snacks, coffee, and beverages are provided.
Guest access
The carriage house is above the garage in the backyard of a family home. Guests are welcome to the backyard area and deck outside the apartment.
Parking is plentiful and safe in the street in front of our house.
The family dogs, Charlie and Lanie, will greet you when you arrive. They will bark but are very friendly. The dogs have a dog door and free access to the backyard. If you are uncomfortable with dogs, this may not be the Airbnb for you. We also foster rescue dogs, so occasionally, there may be an extra furry face to greet you.
Other things to note
There are four exterior security cameras on the property. Two are located on the main house's front porch and focus on the front door and street area. The third is located under the second-story deck of the carriage house and focuses on the driveway. The fourth is located at the back of the house and focuses on the backyard and alley.
No smoking or vaping indoors or on the property.
We have two dogs that have access to the backyard.
