An ideal position for walks, swimming and shopping without the hassle of in town parking. One single room, one twin room, one double room and one king size room.
Guests will have access to the whole house, with help if they have any problems just a phone call away.
Interaction with Guests
Interaction with guests, will be to meet and greet them, show them the house. Answer any questions. If they want bed changes after one week this will be available. Someone will be on call as little or as much as they need. Making a stress, problem free holiday.
The neighbours are friendly and helpful, but best is the fact that the road is a dead end so there is no through traffic. At the end of the road is a children's play park and two fishing lakes. Alternatively there is the whole of the country park just five minutes away behind our back door. Or the beach is ten minutes down the hill. The location is great. A childrens' favourite outing is the walk down Harold road to the Old town, enjoy the facilities, rides, fish and chips etc and return via the east hill funicular railway and walk north across the east hill until you reach the local map sign, turn left and at the end of the lane turn left again. Gurth road is on the right after 200 metres.
There is good public transport but really not needed from where we are. Unless you want to travel for a day into Rye, or Eastbourne and these are easily accessed by train or bus.
Other Things to Note
We would just like people to have a good holiday in our lovely home, looked after if need be by our friend Dawn and hopefully enjoy the fun and sunshine in Hastings.
We have never had a problem with guests and hopefully the families that wish to holiday in our home will be the same. Treat our home with the respect you would hope someone would treat your home. Smokers please smoke outside.
As a family of five we enjoyed staying at John and Teresa's house a lot! It is a perfect place, spacious, fully equipped, very tidy and extremely well maintained - located superb in short walking distance to the beach and the cliffs, major historic sites are just around the corner as well.
With Dawn we had a very lovely and helpful local contact, she gave us many supportive hints on what and where in Hastings.
We'll surely would like to stay here again the next time we'll be in the area.
We had a wonderful time in this beautiful home. It was way nicer than the pictures and we had plenty of space. It was super clean and perfect for our family. The hosts were very accommodating. Loved the kitchen and bathroom especially. Location was perfect. Thanks guys
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Boyne Road! It was perfect for us and Dawn was wonderful. It was an easy walk to the Old Town where we spent most of our time. Dawn recommended ‘The Crown” which turned out to be our favorite pub. The hot mulled wine was wonderfully warming in the cold weather and their “pub” food was amazing. Our favorite restaurant was “Whites”: reasonably priced and out-of-this-world delicious! Whoever said the English can’t cook was so very wrong! We totally fell in love with Hastings during our two week stay and I’m already planning our return. I hope this lovely home will still be available as a rental because I can’t imagine finding a better place. Thank you so very much John, Teresa, and Dawn.
We had a lovely, comfortable time at Boyne Road. There was plenty of space, it was very well equipped, and being able to park on the drive was a real luxury with all the trappings of Xmas we had to carry to the car! Location is good, a stroll down to the old town and a brisk walk up! All in all a great family home in lovely old Hastings!
We stayed 3 months at John and Teresa house, using it as a base to explore the UK. The house is as described with lots of space for the kids to play. Dawn is fantastic, we had a medical incident and she was very helpful with info and providing transportation. The weekly linen change was much appreciated. The walk to town (old and new) is nice, as are the ones in the country park. We loved our stay, thank to John & Teresa and especially to Dawn!
We had a fantastic holiday at John and Teresa's house. So much space - we had 6 people (4 adults, 2 children aged 9 and 3) from 3 generations of the family sharing these accommodations and there was loads of room for all. Really nicely situated with a short walk uphill to the nature reserve (800+ acres!) or a slightly longer walk downhill to the old town and the seaside. Our daughters loved the trampolines down by the seashore ... although now they are petitioning hard for one in the back garden at home! The garden at John and Teresa's is a great feature - unfortunately we had a fair amount of rain during our 10 day stay but we made the most of it when we could. We also very much appreciated that John and Teresa allowed a 10 day rental - many other hosts would only allow us to book 1 or 2 weeks. We would definitely, without hesitation, recommend this home to friends and family looking for a holiday in Hastings!
Had a great two weeks break .The house was lovely and had everything I needed (website hidden) was situated close to the town and on the bus route. The garden was also kept very well and it was lovely to be able to pick the blackberries from the tree .
The house was very clean and it was great to have fresh clean towels and bedding provided.
I am very pleased that I chose this house to spend my holiday in and would definitely stay there again.
About the Host, John And Teresa
We have lived in Hastings for longer than we have lived anywhere. For us it is still the place we call home despite living in other parts of Europe for long periods of time. My background is in engineering Teresa's is organisation and administration. Dawn who is our local representative lives in Hastings and will organise everything on your arrival. Dawn is also a very good source of local information. One place we would definitely recommend is Porters wine bar ( (website hidden) ) in the High street where I believe it is still possible to see world renowned jazz singer/pianist Lianne Carroll ...for free.
