Wonderful visit to Victoria, with a smiling welcome from Dan and Naoko to their cozy B&B. Loved sitting by the fireplace in the dining room each morning for breakfast which started with fresh fruit salad. Good conversations with interesting other guests and delightful host family. Close to everything. Easy access to downtown Victoria and local park and coastline, and freedom to come and go throughout the day. Thank you!
Lovely hosts and cute place close to all downtown area. The room was spacious and clean and breakfast was delicious. Awesome. Will recommend to my friends visiting this beautiful city.
The place: superbly located in a quiet area a few blocks from most everything: About two to the Parliament Building, and another to the Museum. Loved the look of the photo of Carriage House and wasn’t disappointed. The price is a bargain, the spaces lovely, the people unsurpassable. Breakfast is very, very good. But the feel of it all defies my limited ability to describe it.
Ten minutes after meeting Dan, I thought I had known him all my life. He is a polo player, musician, world traveller, and Victoria historian. He is solicitous, educated, caring, informative and just plain fun. Naoko, his wife, reminds me of everyone I liked when I lived in Japan. Their son, a treasure, needs at least another paragraph. Their booking response was quick, and it was an easy walk from the ferry.
I will definitely return to Victoria. When I do, I will most definitely stay here, and recommend you do, too.
They were very friendly; arrival was quite easy; it was very clean; it provided easy access to the city; the breakfast was always delicious... I have nothing but the best to say about them. They were great.
A really homey and charming b n B with delightful hosts who bent over backwards to be of help. Dan found out many pieces of info we needed and Naoko poured endless cuppas! Charming spot really well connected to the harbour, museum, restaurants etc. Brilliant altogether!
Dan & Naoko were friendly, their place is warm and cosy while the location of the house could not be closer to downtown. But beware of parking on the street instead of in their driveway - costs you 20$ ph. We would gladly come back.
Dan and Naoko were great hosts. The location is amazing for getting around downtown Victoria. Great "walkability"!!! The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was amazing and we really enjoyed sharing stories with Dan and other guests about a few famous musicians.
