Grazie Naoko e Dan!
It was our first experience with this bnb. Excellent!! Our hosts were hospitable and kind. The breakfast was very good and we got to meet some great people from around the world. I would stay there again:)
Naoko and Dan were great hosts -- very friendly, helpful and accomodating. The B & B is conviently located to downtown - perfect for what we were looking for. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast.
This is a nice, simple place is a good area. The waterfront and parliament is easily walkable.
Dan and Naoko were wonderful hosts -- very friendly and welcoming, good breakfasts, comfortable rooms, great location. We would absolutely recommend their B & B to friends, and would stay there again.
This is our 2nd time staying at Carriage House B&B. Dan and Naoko are wonderful hosts. The rooms are very comfortable. They graciously accommodated us on a last minute request.
The location has easy access to the downtown Victoria and all the wonderful activities the area has to offer. The home is in a very charming neighborhood and is walking distance to museums, the harbor, Beacon Hill Park and many other things Victoria has to offer.
This was my first airbnb experience and Naoko & Dan made it a fantastic one. Naoko greeted me warmly at the door, gave me my room key, and showed me upstairs. The room was clean & charming, and included a range of interesting books on the bureau. The window overlooked the carriage house, vegetable garden, roses covering the shed's trellis, and the parliament's dome in the distance.
Breakfast was simple and tasty, served in a beautiful dining room, and accompanied by locally produced music (the group playing when I came downstairs was a talented instrumental folk trio featuring Dan's daughter). The other guests at the table were from Seattle, friendly, and interesting to talk to. The passcode for the main entrance made coming & going very convenient.
The neighbourhood was quiet, quaint, and very walkable. Right across the street was the pub where Emily Carr used to have a drink and her family's house was a couple of blocks down the street. Just a few blocks further was Beacon Hill Park and the Inner Harbour was equally accessible.
I found the room very affordable. As a single female travelling on my own, I was very comfortable, felt secure, and would gladly return on future trips. (Also, the no-smoking, no-pets policy was critical for me.)
I have no reservations in recommending this B & B highly.
