Bernie is a gracious host that blesses you with Aloha hospitality. Breakfast was a beautiful combination of her baked goods, fresh tropical fruit artfully presented, eggs, yogurt, fresh juice, coffee, tea. What a feast! Everything is immaculate, and the quality of linens, decor, mattress are all high quality. We slept well each night. We also made new friends thst I hope will last. Kevin and Bernie are Precious hosts. They deserves 5 stars.
Bernie and Kevin are wonderful hosts with every attention to detail. If you are looking for the true "aloha spirit" then this the place...nice quiet neighborhood. The next time I'm in kona I will certainly come back for a visit. I will recommend this accommodation to all!
Perfect place to stay in Kona! Bernie is wonderful, helpful and welcoming. The pictures of the outside of the house and the rooms do not capture the cleanliness, airiness and beautiful decoration. The Plumeria room was smaller than the other rooms, but absolutely perfect. The bedding and linens are nicer than home! The meals are bountiful and delicious....warm banana muffins were to die for! I loved the opportunity to meet interesting people at breakfast and share information about the island. A car is needed to drive to beaches, into town and around the island. I can't wait to return to Tutu's...I miss everything about it already!
Three weeks at Tutu's Tranquil Nest in the Plumeria Room.
Wonderful holiday on a sacret place with peaceful nice people.
Clean and comfortable rooms. I slept on air in that big bed. Like a cloud. Amazing breakfast with home-made cake and fresh fruits.
Bernie and Kevin satisfied the needs of the guests carefully. Bernie served an selfmade avocado dip or humus from their garden. We sit on the terrasse, talked together. I wish them both a blessed time and hope to see them again on Big Island, Captain Cook Rd.
I had a wonderful stay at Bernie and Kevin's home. It is beautifully furnished and everything you need has been thought of. It is a little way out from the tourist hub but I loved the location, very cool and peaceful. It felt like my home away from home. I would definitely stay there again if I go back to Hawaii, and would recommend it to anyone. Thank you so much Bernie and Kevin!
Bernie and her husband has a beatiful house, where I stayed 4 nights. It is not far from Kona. The breakfast was like 5* hotel. Room is nice decorated, very clean and comfortable. I recommend to everyone going to Kona and want to stay for good price by great hosts.

A L O H A,
My husband Kevin and I were both born and raised in Kona. I am of Portugese decent, the third generation born and raised here! Kevin is Asian and his dad was born in Kona and his mom was born and raised on Maui. Kevin is a sponge for trivia and detail, will be able to answer most of anyone's questions. Kevin is now retired after working for the state for 33 years. He is now working on his "honey do" list that is quite extensive!. I am a registered nurse involved with home health for many years. I enjoy meeting new people and learning about their homelands and cultures. I have a passion for raising orchids and have a collection of about 100. I am an avid cook, dabbling in many ethnic cuisines. I also enjoy sewing and many crafts. We share our home with Prissy a 5 year old Shi Tsu who has Kevin wrapped around her paw. She is a tiny thing and is friendly, calm and quiet. She loves laying in the morning sun and belly rubs are her weakness. I have a grown daughter and son who both reside on this island. I am grannie to 3 granddaughters and 2 step grandsons. We look forward to sharing our home and aloha with all who are looking for a relaxing fun filled vacation on our beautiful island. You will enjoy your private space here. Just call upon us with any needs and questions.
