Centrally located and just a few blocks from Union Square the apartment is close to many bars, restaurants, and shops.
The neighborhood is located between the exquisite restaurant's of nob-hill, shopping mecca of union square, and lively nightlife of Polk Street.
Public transportation is within walking distance from bus lines, Muni, BART, and Cal-train creating easy access to almost any part of the city. )
Traveling too any other of the neighborhoods in the city can be done via the muni, which stops right outside the building. You can also take the muni too BART/Cal-Train for farther destinations.
Interaction with guests is on a case-by-case basis. I coordinate my travel plans around reservations made, and contract out a representative who will be waiting for you when you arrive at the unit too give you the keys. Should you need anything during your stay, you may phone this person as often or as little as you'd like.
Shopping, Bars Restaurants & Parks all walking distance!
Lower Nob Hill in between Polk Street/Union Square. Safe and quiet, yet literally separated by just a few blocks on either side from the most vibrant nightlife atmosphere's that San Francisco has to offer.
Public transportation in SF is excellent. There is a muni (line 38) stop right outside front door. Blocks from the Powell Bart & Muni stop. Muni=cable car bus, Bart=underground.
.5 mile from Caltrain 15-25 min cab ride from airport (depending on traffic.)
Other Things to Note
Be careful not too loose the FOB key, as this is how you will enter building during your stay.
You will also need key too apartment in order too enter the unit.
Please feed the fish & water plants from time too time.
Do not open closet door. That is where I keep all my personal belongings.
Building corridors monitored by surveillance cameras.
Do not talk too building manager. He is an older, and not very friendly gentlemen. He does not like me very much, and I prefer too keep him out of my business, and not interact with my guests (never had a problem in the past.)
I ask that you please assist me in keeping my space clean and ready for the next guest as you depart. You may leave any used towels on the floor, or in the laundry basket, and bed does not need too be made upon your departure.
The reservation was canceled the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Communication with Andrew was terrible. A week before, he mixed up me and another guest, trying to give me instructions for staying there that night. I clarified that I’d be arriving the following Saturday at 3:00. The next Friday, he again confused me with another guest. I again clarified Saturday at 3:00. He did not respond. On Saturday at 3:00, I arrived at the apartment, and could not get ahold of Andrew. Instructions were to buzz his friend for the key, but his friend wasn’t home. I tried the friend’s number, but no one picked up, and the voicemail box was full. 4:00 rolled around. I was supposed to be preparing for a gathering with my friends. 5:00 rolled around. We gave up and found a hotel. At around 6:00 Andrew texted me and try to straighten things out. By that point we had booked another place. I highly recommend NOT staying with Andrew if you like good communication or having a schedule.
Andrew quickly answered our initial last minute request for a place to stay in San Francisco. The apartment was centrally-located not far from the Union Square area (although also abutting the not-so-nice Tenderloin) and it was a great find - cozy, nice decor and with a surprisingly large kitchen for a studio. Lots of helpful notes around the place to guide us. Unfortunately, once we were there, it became difficult to reach him - the shower fixture didn't seem to work so we had to take baths and the wi fi code wasn't correct. We contacted him in the morning to ask if we could check out at 3 pm instead of Noon and he wrote back that it was fine - but the message didn't arrive until 2:30 pm, after we had already left. Overall, we were happy to have gotten the place since we booked at the last minute, it's a great studio, but communication could have been a bit better.
I try too stay as vibrant as the city I live in. Recent college graduate, and split my time between Orange County and SF currently because my partner lives down south, and I am looking for work up North. I
I have always loved vacations more than anything else, and the only thing better than going on a vacation yourself, is being the desitnation of someone else's vacation. As my travel schedule can be a little hectic I cant always be there too personally welcome my guests too this city which has soo much too offer, but I assure you my apartment manager will do anything and everything too ensure your time in San Francisco, and in my little piece of heaven, is a pleasant experience.
