When I arrived on airport dohdi who had worked for lonely island and driver was wating for me. I took their car and went directly to Yanti and Alec's house that was little bit far and had some traffic jam on the road but he gave me a lot of information and make me fun.
After that i met them they were really welcome to me with welcoming juice and some meal.
After tht they show me their room that their room is so cozy for sleeping and taking a rest and they installed hot tub in bathroom.
And when i pick some tour for next day dohdi and Yanti and Alec helped me for picking. So i can pick really nice tour like snorkeling and hiking.
Snorkeling company have really good quality like guide and gear. I loved to do that again someday.
after that tour I ate some dinner and drank beer and arak that is one of traditional liquor in bali with Alec. We talked many things like situation of bali and alcohol. Lol. I liked that time. After that I used their swimming pool in the midnight with beer that is really clean and soo moody you should use that whenever you want.
In last day in their house i went to mountain for hiking and watching view with dohdi.
In that day the weather was not so good but after i found that waterfall make stunning view. I wish if you wanna staying this place i wanna recommend this tour. I took many picture that dohdi helped me for great picture.
And he took me hot spring and temple for doing full service for me.
I couldn't show my great experience in this page but if you pick this house you won't regret to your choice.
I hope you can get good memories in Yanti and Alec's house.
Enjoy your time in here. :)
Yanti is a lovely host! The apartment is clean, with A/C, directly in front of a pool and a very nice terrasse. The Breakfast was really delicious and we could get dinner for a little extra! Also we could buy drinks for a fair price!
The Apartment is located between "lovina" and singaraja, but Yanti helped us to get everywhere we wanted. Snorkeling and hiking tour was a little expensive (~35€/person) but it was really worth the money!
Thanks for comments and glad you had a good time and thought the snorkeling and hiking tours were worth the money. Everyone who has been on these tours as you can see from the reviews have also thought as you that they are great value and have seen so much more than the regular tourists ever see. Thanks again was a pleasure to host you
Very nice place if you want to relax. Yanti was a great host, she cooks very well her food was delicious. The bad part is that it is far from everything and there is not much to do in Lovina.
Lovina isn't a busy place and to many that is it's attraction. Apart from hiking to some of the most beautiful waterfalls in Bali and snorkelling at Menjangan Island in crystal clear waters or just relaxing I suppose could be "not much to do" for some. Thanks for your kind comments. All the best Yanti
We had a great experience at Alec and Yanti's place. The house is really nice, clean and relaxing in the middle of a very unique village. Alec even cooked dinner for us one night on their lovely patio. He also recommended Dodi as our guide for a day and we had a wonderful time hiking to the waterfalls, would definitely recommend him! Thank you for everything!
We had a lovely stay at Alec And Yanti's. They paid a lot of attention to the Little details And everything was clean. We felt like home At their Nice home. And They helpt us with everything we needed. Yanti is Great in the kitchen great indonesian dood. And our one Year Old baby loved her spaghetti thank you so much for everything. All the best bart elles And raven from Amsterdam
The place lies within a typical Balinese village area and the compound is nice. Cosy shared dining/meeting area and pool. A good atmosphere, but also a lot of Alec, the owner. You have to like that: he is very open to his guests, he does knows a lot and can arrange most for you. He is more than glad to drop you in e.g. Lovina and pick you up after dinner! We met Yanti less, but she prepared the breakfast, which was good indeed.
The room was simple, no mosquito net (which would have been handy as we found out...), small and with two chairs outside. And as Balinese as all other spots: cocks as well, accompanied by three singing birds of the owner.
The area of Anturan was described as Bali with a rough edge by the owner, but we would describe it as a busy and less organized place. We wouldn't recommend others to go to this region...
Thanks Thijs for your comments. As I say in my advert, “this is a chance to enjoy Bali and its traditions before they completely disappear”. Cockerels in the vicinity and singing birds (only 2, which are rescued lovebirds) are to me, all part of the charm of this declining Hindu culture. I am sad that you would not recommend the Anturan area but think I will now use your comments as a positive to describe the area. I hope you enjoyed your onward journey and found more developed accommodation to your liking. I could have recommended plenty of hotels where Balinese “traditional dance” is performed each night especially for tourists. Airbnb was primary set up as a place to share others accommodation originally sleeping on an airbed on the floor. I have the greatest respect for Airbnb and its aims and rely solely on them for my business. Again thanks for your comments and wish you the best of luck for the future. A slight misunderstanding in the guest book, “Best breakfast indeed, thanks for a great time (and the arak) signed Jolien and Thijs! All the best Alec, Yanti and family
