Beautiful place in a great spot- easy to walk around Downtown. Very clean and comfortable. Heylen is very thoughtful. Had a great experience!
We enjoyed a long Memorial Day weekend at Heylen's. The duplex was located centrally for us as it was easy walking distance to the amphitheater for the pair of concerts we were in town to see. We also enjoyed walking downtown. Accommodations were just as described and the hosts were flexible about our delayed arrival time. Looking forward to staying again.
We felt very welcomed by our hosts and their response time was great from start to finish. The space was amazingly well done. The detail was incredible and it was obvious that a ton of time and care went into the restoration. Nice yard area, and great kitchen with a cool dining table area that allows for lots of light. The walk to downtown took under 10 minutes, and walking over to the REI, Movie Theatre, shopping area took around 15 minutes.
My wife and I stayed here for three nights on our first visit to Bend. The house is in a great location, residential but also a moderate walking distance to downtown Bend. It's a short walk to Drake Park and Mirror Pond.
The house itself was impeccably clean and recently renovated. The bathtub is large and great to soak in after a day of hiking some of the area sites. The wifi worked well and the checkin/checkout process went smoothly.
Overall we had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this place to others.
Heylen was great! We also met her husband in person and he is a really cool guy that takes a great deal of pride in the love and craftsmanship they put into the place. We felt very welcome. The place is every bit as nice as it looks in photos. Comfortable bed, awesome shower, all around lovely. Awesome location, great breakfast place (Jackson's) 2 blocks away, near tons of restaurants, coffee, bike rentals, etc.. Really nice place! We didn't want to leave and we will definitely be back.
Everything was great. The Mill House was beautifully and elegantly appointed. The neighborhood was awesome, especially being so close to downtown and Jackson's Corner. We will definitely come again in the future.
The Restored Mill House is a wonderful little duplex! It's perfect for two people. The impressive woodwork, well-appointed kitchen with gas range was great. We loved eating in the nook and enjoying the morning sun on the back porch. My wife loved the claw foot tub and everything was immaculately clean. The little gas stove in the living room was nice. Perhaps the best aspect of this Jefferson Mill House was it's ideal location - minutes walk to the river, mill shops, Jackson's corner and downtown. The couch was not so comfortable, but the bed was plush. Heylen and Seth were very nice and prompt in making sure our stay was perfect.

About the Host, Heylen
My husband and I came through Bend on the way to somewhere else and fell in love immediately. We love taking advantage of living in such a beautiful place... whether it is riding our bikes to 10 barrel, floating the river or going to a concert.
Having grown up in rainy London I try to make the most of the sunshine. My husband restores homes and I'm a graphic designer, so it's awesome when we get to collaborate on awesome projects like this one!
