Get cozy in this lovely 2-bedroom apartment located right in the center of the East Village. With two queen beds, fresh linens, and brand new furniture, enjoy the destinations and nightlife of NYC!
Get cozy in this lovely 2-bedroom apartment located in the center of the East Village - the most fun neighborhood in NYC. Each bedroom includes a queen bed with fresh linens and towels. Each room sleeps two people, and one room is larger than the other. There is also a bathroom with tub and shower, heat or AC, full kitchen and living room.
The East Village is the center of NYC nightlife, featuring hundreds of bars and restaurants from casual to more chic and upscale. There are several all-night delis and a supermarket right around the corner from the apartment. During the day, visit Tompkins Square Park, enjoy lunch at a sidewalk cafe, and shop at the many small artistic stores in the neighborhood.
You're close to fashionable Soho, Tribeca, the nightlife of the Lower East Side, and great cheap eats in Chinatown.
The apartment is close to the subway: the J/M (Delancey station) and the F (2nd Ave station) are each a 5 minute walk. The 6 (Bleecker station) is a 10 minute walk, and Union Square, a major transportation hub, is a 15 minute walk.
The entire apartment is around 600 sq. feet (60m2), which is a very good size for the area. The apartment is already fully furnished, so it's ideal for people staying short-term or who have just moved into the city. And it's only 2 floors up, so no huge stairway to climb. Coin-operated washer and dryer downstairs, or laundry mat across the street.
Guests have access to the entire apartment.
Interaction with Guests
I live in the apartment downstairs, so I am available whenever needed.
The East Village is the number one destination in NYC for restaurants and nightlife. Safe at all hours, and convenient to all trains. 24-hour grocery and cafe nearby.
5 minutes walk from F train. 10 minute walk from 6/J/M train. Convenient to airport by cab or train.
No smoking inside. Please clean-up after yourself (wash any dishes you use, take trash out). When you are ready to check out, please make sure the air conditioner and lights are off. Leave the keys on the table and close the door behind you.
And please: Enjoy New York! :)
This was a great base for our visit to NYC. Unfortunately we didn't get to meet Dimitri in person as he was away when we were there but before our visit he was very helpful and responded very quickly to our queries. The apartment is compact and minimally furnished as shown in the photos. It was lovely in warm which was greatly appreciated in the bitter cold we experienced. Do expect noise if you stay here - mainly from honking cars and some street noise. The apartment is convenient to two subway stations and also lots of bus routes. We enjoyed our stay here - thanks Dimitri!
Dimitri was a very welcoming and helpful host who helped take our luggage upstairs. The apartment was clean and tidy and we welcomed the practical supplies that were in the fridge and pantry. It has a great shower and fair sized bedrooms. It was a great location, close to the subway, shops and restaurants. We would definitely stay in this apartment again and would recommend it to people who want to discover East Village and its surrounds. Dimitri always responded quickly to our requests and was readily available to help us out. Thanks Dimitri

This place is AMAZING! We stayed here with 2 other friends and had the best time. The apartment is clean, quiet, safe, and perfect for 4 people. The location is even better - walking distance to all that east village has to offer. As a host, Dimitri was awesome! He met us at the door when we arrived late at night and showed us in. I would recommend this apartment and Dimitri to anyone looking for a great time in NYC!
We stayed in Dimitri's apartment as part of a wonderful surprise three-day getaway for my husband's 40th birthday. We loved staying there - it's a very clean and comfortable place with a lot of charm - perfect for two couples. The kitchen was perfectly equipped with exactly what we needed. You could not ask for a better location, surrounded by awesome bars/restaurants and a few places for groceries, including Whole Foods, all within walking distance. You also could not ask for a better host than Dimitri!! From the first point of contact until our departure day Dimitri made us feel so welcome and looked after. He responded to all emails in a very timely manner and offered lots of helpful information and recommendations - you can tell he really knows the neighbourhood and takes pride in it. We just didn't have to worry about anything - he was there with a warm greeting when our taxi arrived - even helping us in with our bags and giving a helpful overview of the place. We really appreciated his flexibility too. Thank you so much Dimitri for making our stay in your wonderful city so great, we hope to stay with you again!
We have just returned from a 10 day trip to New York staying in Dimitri’s apartment in the East Village.
Dimitri kept in contact with us running up to our holiday and met us when we arrived in the taxi from JFK, helping us carry our luggage upstairs. The apartment was exactly as in the pictures. Light bright and airy, with two good sized double bedrooms an open plan kitchen / sitting area and bathroom with an excellent shower.
The kitchen contained some basic supplies including some lovely coffee which we used for breakfast most mornings.
Dimitri gave us some advice on local supermarket and restaurants and there were guide books and maps available to assist.
Our flight home was not until 6.30pm and Dimitri allowed us the use of the apartment until our taxi arrived to take us to the airport.
The apartment is situated in a lovely area, within walking distance of the subway and buses with easy access to all major tourist attractions.
We look forward to a return visit assuming he will have us back
The apartment location was great and there were lots of great bars, restaurants, shopping and food markets within walking distance. We especially loved Cornerstone because it was close, inexpensive and everything we had there was delicious. Supper Italian (a few doors down) was also wonderful.
The subway is just a short walk from the apartment and could get us anywhere we needed to go in the city. A $30 Metro Card will get you unlimited rides for 7 days - really a great deal!
The WiFi connection was spotty for us and the futon-style mattresses were a little more than firm. There is no TV in the apartment, which was okay, but we all agreed that extra seating besides the kitchen chairs would be a great addition.
Dimitri was extremely responsive in getting back to us anytime we had a question about the apartment or the area. The apartment was clean, well-stocked with the essentials, and was a good amount of space for two couples. Overall it was a good stay and we thoroughly enjoyed seeing the city and getting to know the lower East Side of Manhattan!
