  • The flat gives you a feel of living like a true Roman. It is far enough from the touristic centre that it feels real and is very quiet, yet it is a walking distance to most major attractions and if you feel bit lazy - Metro (Manzoni, Linea A) is just on your doorstep. Big supermarket is just around the corner, but the essentials are kindly provided by Rosella - coffee, Olive Oil, sugar, salt, etc.. (I loved the fact that Olive Oil is provided - so Italian!)
The flat is located 15 mins walk from Termini station - but if you can avoid the walk (easily done - Metro only 2 stops) - do, as the area directly around Termini is a bit rough. The area around the house though is safe and lovely! The flat's highlights are the Terrace and beautiful floors.
Rosella is welcoming, friendly and helpful, Pinky (the cleaner) very sweet, and the whole experience - highly recommended! Thank you!

  • We had a wonderful stay at Rossella's apartment. It is conveniently located near the metro and we were able to easily navigate the city and sights. The apartment is located in a quiet and safe neighborhood and served as a wonderful, comfortable retreat after a long day of touring and walking - each day we relaxed on the terrace with a snack and glass of wine. We especially appreciated the separate and spacious bedroom for our teenage son. The apartment is airy, clean and spacious and the beds are very comfortable. Rossella was very welcoming and informative, sharing local restaurant and site suggestions.

  • We were 4 girls spending several days in Rome end of March, looking for a central location with nice bars&restaurants and major sights by hand, and Rossella's apartment met all our expectations, even better! The neighbourhood is just perfect - close to Termini, 5-min walking distance from the Colloseum and other sights, at the same quiet enough to have a rest from touristic Rome. We all appreciated clean and fresh bedrooms and kitchen-bathroom utilities. The apartment is spacious and has everything one can possibly need. The terrace is just magnificent - perfect for warm Roman days&nights!
Rossella was very nice and welcoming - she even made us Italian coffee upon arrival and gave us a detailed list of places/tips to eat&shop and so on.
I would definitely recommend Rossella's apartment to anyone travelling to Rome and would surely stay at her place next time!
Thank you Rossella! Cheers from Moscow!

  • Rossella is a most charming host! She met us at the flat and was beyond kind and informative. We were in Rome to visit our daughter who is spending her semester there. Rossella offered do much help to her- before and even after our stay! The flat is even prettier than the pictures show. It was well stocked which we appreciated. The beds were comfortable after out long flight (which had been a concern for me). Although everything was wonderful I must say that the patio was our favorite thing. It was private and large - a perfect place to start and end each day!

  • It was a pleasure to meet kind Rossella and to enjoy her lovely house in Rome. We felt as if we were in our own home. The location is perfect, near the metro and Termini Station, but very calm. The rooms are confortable and the beds are very restful. The heater is easy to use and the rooms keep warm even if you turn it off. All the things Rossella has in the bathroom and kitchen help a lot when we have to manage a family with kids. We hope to return to Rome and, for sure, we will visit Rossella's place again. In the meantime, we recommend Rossella's house to everyone who wants to live an Italian experience. Congratulations for the house and the very friendly cleaning lady!

  • We really enjoyed our stay in this great little apartment right on the metro (Manzoni) and just 15mins walk to Termini for buses. We were a family of 5, ideally its best spaced for 4 to allow full use of the living room. Though it was a little cold to use the outside space, there's a nice sitting area as well. The apartment is really well equipped, and for winter was incredibly warm. Rossella was a wonderful host, arranging to meet us there, setting us up, and was in contact if we needed to get in touch. She also left us with some ideas and a map for local places. We would recommend Cavour 313 Wine Bar (15mins walk). Also, via Merulana is highly recommended (5mins walk) for walking, deli's, cafes etc. A great street to explore. Though its not in a 'tourist' area the apartment is just ten minutes walk from the Colosseum, and via metro everywhere else. Grazie Rossella for your warm welcome. Helen/Donovan & family.

  • Rosella's home is lovely, to say the least. Feels like a traditional italian home yet has just enough of the modern amenities to feel comfortable. The location is far enough outside central rome that it is quiet and very safe, yet close enough that you can easily walk to the Coliseum and other attractions.

  • Great location, a short walk from Manzoni station, which is just two stops from Termini. Lovely flat, our bed was very soft and comfortable, and instant hot water that doesn't run out, so the whole family can have a hot shower. Best of all, the fabulous terrace, where you can sip a glass while you rest your feet battered from the day's miles of walking. The local supermarket is great, the pizza by the slice around the corner cheap and delicious, and my kids brought home a tiramisu to die for from a neighborhood speciality shop. (Sorry, not sure which one, but it was near the supermarket!) Rosella was a sweetheart and nothing was too much trouble. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.

  • A truely magnificent and unique place to stay: for me for sure the place to go when I return to Rome (we tossed a coin in Trevi so if legend holds up there's no doubt about it...). The appartment is lovely, clean and the outside terrace is unique to Rome and wonderful to sit, relax and enjoy morning breakfast and afternoon wine... Rosella's welcome was more than warm; no hotel could beat that. The location is great, close to Manzoni metro station which takes you almost everywhere if you are tired of walking (which you do a lot in Rome....). Rosella's tips on eateries and shops in the neighbourhood were great, especially the best Tiramisu in the world which is only 2 metro stops away for the taking.....
We stayed with 2 but the place can easily fit 2 couples or 6 people.
To summarize: La Perla di Roma: a true pearl in this wonderful city which will make your stay even better.

    Grazie mille Rosella!

  • I highly recommend! This is a nice apartment with a very comfortable patio. Everything was as described and my friends and i were very well received. The apartment itself was clean, well appointed and very comfortable. Our host was wonderful. She accommodated our every request with a dapper smile. Book here with no fear at all!
