We really enjoyed our stay at Bacciodelsole. Just as described on the website, the views were absolutely priceless! We loved our little private balcony, and the terrace where breakfast is served each morning is also breathtaking. Right next to the path of gods walk which is fantastic if you're into hiking and views - just get started early! The town of Nocelle is very quiet and has a few bnbs, a restaurant and a mini market. It's a breath of fresh air for those looking to get a feeling of peace and quiet after spending the day in the busier towns of Amalfi and Positano. However, Be warned - the bus ride to get to Nocelle is not for the faint hearted. It's about 45 minutes from Positano, and in peak season it's often a packed bus, making the ride all the more interesting. Our host, Raffaela, was very helpful in providing information about things to do around Amalfi - including the path of gods walk, and tours to capris, which she organised for us with a discount! We loved it and would recommend! Kate and Morgan

We really loved this place. Room was very clean and very large. Beds were comfortable. Shower had fantastic water pressure. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choices. We had a stunning view of the water from our room and patio. Sat out on our lounge chairs and looked at water. Location was easy to find once you got to Nocelle. We did take the 1800 stairs down to positano once. Took us 45 minutes. (We are very fit.) There are not lights on the stairs and couldn't do it in the dark. We were sweaty by the time we got to the road at the bottom. So we took the local bus up and down instead. The bus is a half hour trip from positano. Loved how this place was literally on the Path of the Gods hike.

Amazing view and nice breakfast in the morning. We arrived later than expected, and they were very understanding and even made a reservation at a restraunt nearby. We hope to visit again soon.

On our arrival our we were met by a porter who carried our bags the 200 steps down to Bacio del sole. The porter is also on hand to help with your luggage when you depart. The views are phenomenal and the staff excellent. Giusy was friendly and very helpful. She organised day trips, drivers and restaurant bookings for us. Our enquiries, usually made during breakfast, were dealt with promptly and before we had even finished our breakfast Giusy would have everything organised. Our room - no 5 - was big and airy and full of light and had this small but lovely private garden/terrace with beautiful views over the sea and Positano. There are cooking facilities in a small kitchen if you want to cook for yourself. Nocelle's restaurants; Santa Croce and La Tagliata were excellent and much better value than the restaurants in Positano. Even the pizzeria was very good. The views from each of these were stunning, complimenting the excellent food and wine served. La Tagliata even drove us home after our meal. We liked being away from Positano as it was very crowded and noisy in August. After we had spent our days in the hustle and bustle of Positano and surrounds we looked forward to coming home at the end of each day to the peace and quiet of Nocelle. We enjoyed the bus up and down to the beach each day. It could get busy at peak times so we usually timed our trips before or after these times. You can use the stairs down to Positano if you don't want to use the bus. We walked down the steps on our last day. We found it to be a pleasant walk with great views. We would have done it the every day had we realised how easy it was. You would need a reasonable level of fitness to walk back up. After 8 days we were sad to leave. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Nocelle and Positano - we felt like we had found our own slice of paradise.

Raffaella made us feel very welcome! The place was beautiful and I was surprised it wasn't booked up. We felt like we were living luxuriously on a poor man's budget. The pictures do not do it justice. Clean, spacious and gorgeous.

Our family stayed at Baciodelsole and loved every minute of it. It is all the way at the top of a mountain so if you're looking to be in the hustle and bustle of Positano this may not be for you. However, after being among many people in town throughout the day, we felt like going to this bed-and-breakfast was like a serene break from the crowds. The food was great, the accommodations were very comfortable, and the views were simply spectacular! Rafaella was more than helpful and helped us get a boat for an island excursion. My only advice would be the many steps to get to the bed-and-breakfast. We found it a great way to get in shape but if you don't have strong legs or are not in real good shape, you may want to find another place. Quite honestly, all of the bed-and-breakfasts have many steps so this town may not be the place for you. If you're willing to climb the steps though, this place on the Amalfi coast is something you don't want to miss. I would highly recommend Baciodelsole and hope that our entire family can stay there again someday.
