We had a very nice stay at Alberto's apartment. Very Good: The apartment is very large, very comfortable and suited our needs perfectly (we're a family of 7 - 2 parents+5 kids). Check-in and check-out were very efficient, the apartment was very clean and we could even park our large rental car (Mercedes V-Class) in the garage. Alberto turned out to be a great host. He was always available and always responded in a timely fashion. He also took full responsibility for the construction issue that we had (see further down in review). Not so good: Location. The apartment is located above the village. With the car it's just 2 minutes to the center of the village but walking distance is about 15 minutes downhill and 20+ minutes uphill back to the apartment. This wasn't my first time in St. Moritz and therefore I knew what to expect but if you're looking for a place where you can go easily in and out - then you should definitely look for something else. You should keep in mind though that we were there in the summer. It's possible that in the winter, the location enables ski-in ski-out which is a big plus. I don't know that for sure but it's worth to check. Really not good: Construction site. We had a very unpleasant surprise on the first morning (and all following mornings) when we woke up from construction noises and found out that there's a construction site literally outside of our apartment's balcony. Even though this issue is temporary and may not be a problem for future guests, it took us by surprise. This wasn't the way we imagined to wake up in St. Moritz! I informed Alberto immediately. He said that he heard about it only a week before our arrival and therefore couldn't give us a heads-up. He also called the municipal authorities to make sure that they enforce the special construction limitations of the summer months. Alberto made real efforts to minimize our damages. Eventually, he offered us a partial refund as compensation. To summarize: Great apartment, great host but not ideal location (in the summer). Still, in my opinion it's a very good deal (just make sure the construction works are done).

I had a fantastic stay at Alberto's apartment. The best parts were that the apartment felt like home (solid, generational family furniture, good quality linens, TV, good wifi), the spectacular view (could sit out on the terrace and look at it for hours), how totally silent the place was at night, and how Alberto was understanding and responsive to a couple of requests I made. I used the apartment as a base for summer-time athletic training, and drove my car down to the track at the lake, but would walk into St Moritz Dorf for dinner which was nice to have the freedom to leave the car behind. In addition to the washing machine in the apartment, there's also a coin-operated washer AND dryer in the basement -- as a good North American, I'm used to using a dryer and appreciated it being available easily. No kitchen will ever feel totally like yours home, but this kitchen was pretty well equipped.

We totally enjoyed our at stay Munt Sulaj (extended it by 4 days)! This apartment is easily large enough for 2 families so, the two of us relished the extra space. The flat is located 5 minutes drive up the hill from the center of town so a car is required...we didn't mind this because we relish the peace and quiet. As the pictures indicate, the views of St.Moritz mountains are breath taking. We totally lucked out and had generous amounts of snow the first week of May enabling us to ski at Corvatsch (15 in drive) but FYI, Corviglia has several lifts are just above and behind the apartment which seem to be great during peak ski season. Alberto was an accomodating, friendly host and flexible with our costs and dates of stay during this off season time (greatly appreciated). I will mention that the kitchen has dated appliances but all in working condition once a special touch is applied. We loved St Moritz in the off season and can't wait to return. Thanks Alberto!

We were pleased with the communication and the effort made by Alberto to help us prepare for our trip. The views from the house were simply magnificent. We could see the lake and the town from our windows. The location is truly amazing! The house itself is lovely and cozy, perfect for two families. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

This is a lovely apartment with wonderful views onto the town. Underground garage for a car is very useful, and an easy walk down to the town or up to the midway station for the funicular train. If you hire your boots and skis in the rentals shop next to the funicular in town then the owner will let you store them there overnight which avoids having to carry skis etc upto the house. Or you can store your skis at the midway station but this costs money. The apartment has a washing machine and a small electric oven with three electric hobs. It's fine for cooking dinners. Really a nice old-school family home.

I live in Milan, work in real estate and use Airbnb to host and travel. I manage apartments from Milano to San Fedele Intelvi, just off lake Como, and travelled from Portugal to Japan. Airbnb has always improved the quality of my experience as a traveller, receiving local advice on sightseeing, restaurants and experiencing fully local customs. As a host I try to give back these wonderful experiences and improving basic standards; clean apartments, good WiFi connection, flexibility in check-in and check-out times and clear communication with my guests.
