Enjoy your own private retreat in this spacious two-room house sited just above a large garden complete with Mayan altar that separates it from the road. Here you can relax to the birdsong and views of Lake Atitlan peeking through the trees. We connect you with Mayan spiritual guides to arrange life-counseling, Nawal readings, Mayan fire ceremonies to open your spiritual path, cleansing rituals, and classes in Mayan history, culture and spirituality with Elders from all over the Mayan world.

The space
There is a large garden below the house, with a path leading up to the house. There is a covered front porch with dining table, chaise lounge, and room for yoqa and floor exercise.

Inside the house, the open-plan living/kitchen area features east facing windows which let in great light in the morning. Black out curtains are hung for those late sleepers. Two twin beds are great for lounging.

An eat-in bar separates the kitchen.

The house is filled with art by the owner, Blake. You can purchase the pillows, mosaics, and prints that you see here. To purchase art, or view more online, communicate with Blake or Luis.

The house sits adjacent to a Mayan altar which is used regularly by Blake and other local Mayan spiritual guides. The house sits above the altar, so you have privacy when ceremony is in process. We respect your privacy during the ceremony, and ask that you also respect the privacy of others in ceremony here.

Guest access
The whole house is yours to use. We keep a small, locked bodega on the west side of the house for cleaning, maintenance, storage and private use.

Other things to note
This home also houses a permanent, exposition of mosaic artwork by Blake Sherlock, as well as local artists.

The Mayan altar is used regularly by Blake and other local Mayan Guides. We make every attempt to let you know in advance when the altar will be in use.
