Relax in this charming, comfortable brick corner-home situated in the lovely Lindenwood Park neighborhood. Only one block walk from 3500 Winehaus and award-winning restaurant, Trattoria Marcella, and a short drive to all city neighborhoods including downtown, it's the perfect location to explore the Gateway to the West!
The home is a 1920's brick bungalow, built the year before the Great Stock Market crash of 1929, with details like gorgeous Italian plaster and custom wood built-ins. The home is painted in brilliantly bold Andalusian saturated colors (no white walls here!). There are two bedrooms, each appointed with a queen-sized bed and dresser or wardrobe and closet for your personal use. Attached off the kitchen is a quaint 3-season screened porch, the perfect spot to enjoy morning coffee while overlooking the yard. There's also a great sitting area on the front covered porch for enjoying a setting sun and perhaps a glass of vino on the glider.
With the home situated on a corner lot, there's plenty of street parking.
I'll meet briefly with guests to deliver the keys and answer any questions and am a phone call and short-distance away if guests need anything while staying. After that, you'll have the place to yourself! I aim to make your stay a pleasant and memorable experience!
Lindenwood Park is a lovely neighborhood enclave of parks, eclectic restaurants, and the famous Route 66 frozen custard road-side attraction, Ted Drewes (a must visit!). It's a quiet neighborhood, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, where you'll see residents on morning and evening strolls with their pooches and prams. The bungalow is a block from several great restaurants, and about 3 blocks from a great coffee/pastry shop, the Pint Size Bakery.
The home has good access to public transportation -- buses via Hampton, Watson, and Chippewa and only a mile to the Shrewsbury Metrolink station.

Additionally, my home is a low-tech haven from the busy world. I have a record player and some albums to enjoy taking you back to a simpler time. While there is no microwave or dishwasher, there is full kitchen with stovetop and oven and plenty of cooking accoutrements to satisfy.

We had a fantastic stay and this house in a nice neighborhood. The house was very clean and close to the city. Everything was as described in the profile. We would definitely stay here again.
Amy was a pleasure and the house was fantastic. Besides being adorably cute and comfortable, Amy's place was spotless. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again my next trip to St. Louis!
Amy's home is lovely. The location is great. It is in a great neighborhood and near grocery stores, a few restaurants and near a major highway. The home itself is nice. It is clean and well maintained. A few things to note: there are no televisions in the bedrooms and no microwave. I was visiting over the holidays and spent most of my time away from the house so it worked for me and my purpose. Last, Amy was a gracious and kind host. I will stay at this house again with no hesitation in the future.
Amy's house was just what we were looking for in St. Louis. Comfortable and Adorably designed, it is in a great location. We walked to the cutest coffee shop every morning, and listened to a few records in the well lit living room. It is a great location, very centrally located. Amy was responsive, and sweet a good communicator. She even left us little treats. We will be seeing if this great little house is available next time we visit.
The location was terrific; we enjoyed being in a neighborhood. Amy had knocked herself out to make us feel welcome--fresh flowers on the dining room table and in the master bedroom, beer bread and honey butter on the cutting board in the kitchen. It was nice to have the whole place to ourselves. We even hosted a local friend for tea and cake. Her restaurant tips were used and appreciated.
The only thing that lowered the rating to a 4 were a few particular items we missed. A microwave would have been useful and we did not find a wastebasket in the kitchen. The IKEA chair was comfortable but it was the only one. A couple more "cozies" would have been nice. Self-disclosure, we are three retired people traveling together.
I would not hesitate to return and have in fact already recommended to friends who have reason to be in St. Louis on occasion. Thanks Amy; it was obvious you went to some trouble for us.
I stayed in Amy's lovely and homey bungalow for five nights while visiting St. Louis. Indeed- it was like coming home, especially after some stressful days. Amy was very accommodating and wanted to make sure I had everything I needed. The location was ideal for me, and certainly would be for anyone needing easy access to I-44 or I-64/40. I am so happy to have this option instead of a hotel! Thanks for your hospitality Amy!
Amy's home was perfect for our stay. We were in town for a convention and it was located just 15 minutes away! Her home is charming and has great energy and the neighborhood is equally nice. Her back yard is also a plus when the weather is nice. We will definitely stay at Amy's lovely bungalow the next time we are in St. Louis!
Our family had a very nice stay at Amy’s house. Amy was a wonderful hostess and made sure we had everything we needed. One of the things I enjoyed was the very nice neighborhood where Amy’s house is and I enjoyed walking around several times while we were there. There were four adults there for the weekend and we had plenty of room for all of us. Thank you Amy for making us feel so welcome in your home.
Amy's Place was central to everything. She also left a couple of brochures and magazines that recommended places to eat, which were really great. She also was easy to get in touch with either through email or phone. The house is beautiful and really comfortable. I would definitely recommend anyone staying in St. Louis to choose her. The beds were extremely comfortable and the house has a nice back porch to lounge in when the weather is nice outside. Plus she has a great record and movie collection which we definitely used. If you come to St. Louis definitely recommend staying at her house. I know I will when I come back to St. Louis. Thanks Amy for the wonderful experience.
Our stay at Amy's was great! Her house is full of charm; I could live there! :) Even though she was out of town she made sure we had everything we needed. It was a great central location to lots of St. Louis' many attractions and we felt safe in the neighborhood at night. We would have loved to use the little firepit in the backyard, but will just have to do that next time!
