Pauline and Charity run a friendly and comfortable apartment. You start to feel at home quickly, get treated normally, and benefit from their secluded spot in a quiet, friendly compound just fifteen minutes drive from Westlands, town, and Yaya (when there's no traffic). I was very happy there for five weeks. I recommend Pauline and Charity's place.
I could not have picked a better place to stay in Nairobi than Charity's! The apartment is beautifully furnished and fully equipped with anything and everything you might need, and I found it to be even better than the pictures represent. Charity and the other flatmates as well were incredible hosts, going above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable and confident getting settled in Nairobi. They recommended bars and restaurants and shops (and drew me great maps to make sure I found my way!) and they have a killer movie collection and reliable Wifi for the nights you just want to stay in. The complex felt very safe and secure and is conveniently located in a great neighborhood. I absolutely loved my time in this cozy apartment and consider Charity to be a fantastic new friend I will absolutely keep in touch with!
Charity and this apartment are awesome! My husband and I stayed with them for two weeks before finding our own place in Nairobi. She and her roommates were extremely welcoming, accommodating, and they are the perfect people to chill with and share good conversation. Can't recommend it enough!
Everything about my experience in Kenya was amazing, and staying at Charity's place was the perfect way to kick it off. Charity was incredibly helpful with everything. Not only did she provide an amazing place to stay, but was more than willing to give advice and recommendations about Nairobi.
The apartment itself is clean, spacious and the porch is priceless.
Taxis seemed to find the area relatively easy (assuming you're okay at pronouncing "Kileleshwa") and the guards out front were always willing to arrange one if you needed it.
I highly recommend you consider staying here on your next trip to Kenya!

About the Host, Pauline & Charity
Charity - I love life, people, and public service. I work at the office of the Auditor General down town Nairobi and love my job.. I love to to travel and my favorite destination has to be Atlanta Georgia where I often visit family and friends. I love to dine, will always enjoy a good movie, a great book, and love laughter and hearty conversation.
Pauline - All I need is good live music, food ( I make a mean chapati dish, the Kenyan way), books and art. I own a fashion and home accessory business working out of Nairobi.
I enjoy a good road trip to different parts of Kenya and the rest of E. Africa coupled with a little bit of extreme adventure.
We joined this site as a way to bring the world into our home because socializing with people from different back grounds and cultures energize and enrich our living experience. I guess you will have to be the one to share how it was living with us (wink)
