Harvey and Arta were really good hosts. Very responsive to the few requests that we made.
Harvey and Arda are great hosts. They helped me with bike, laundry, grocery... almost everything that will make my stay comfortable.
The house and garden are fantastic. You are always in the nature, while everything is still so convenient.
Harvey and Arda were perfect hosts! They picked us up at the train station, offered to give us a ride into town, and gave us some great biking and local sight recommendations. We had a weekend with the perfect mix of relaxation (lounging by the pool) and activity -- biking along the reservoir, walking into town, etc. Plus, the stocked fridge made us feel super spoiled (but right at home). We'd love to come back again!
Harvey is very communicative with texts and his apartment below the main house is cozy and cute! The pictures are accurate. The pool and his grounds are beautiful. Go visit the Blue pig (for ice cream), the Black cow (for coffee) in Croton on the Hudson. Also walk to the Dam down the street. We will be back!
This was our second time at Cozy Country and we continue to love it.
1. It's only an hour out from the city.
2. There is a lovely shaded seating area and a grill for outside dining, reading and relaxing.
3. The pool!
4. There are mountain bikes for riding in the beautiful country, and into the nice town.
5. A comfortable and well-stocked house. There is enough in the pantry and fridge to eat a kingly breakfast, plus have snacks during day.
Harvey and Arda are exceptionally kind, generous, and flexible hosts. We really enjoy seeing them and hope to return soon.
Harvey and Arda's place is the perfect weekend getaway from New York City. The apartment itself has everything you'd need for your stay, it was stocked fresh towels, and was filled with groceries for breakfast and snacks.
The bedroom was very well kept, and got super dark at night, allowing for an excellent night's sleep.
We weren't there for pool weather, but the outdoor space is great, and has a lovely view out on to the reservoir.
Make sure to spend some time chatting with Harvey as he's got a million great stories.
Harvey and Arta were truly great hosts. My girlfriend and I wanted to avoid renting a car so Arta offered to pick us up from the train station (and even gave us a little tour of the town!). When we arrived at the house we were given a full tour of downstairs, stocked with all the amenities you could need, along with a fridge filled with food for breakfast! The yard and surrounding area are absolutely gorgeous with trails galore.
During our weekend stay, Harvey and Arta let us use their mountain bikes and ride all over the place, which included a nice ride over the dam and into town. We even joined them for a glass of wine on the second night and got to hear some of Harvey's short stories he wrote (definitely recommend asking him :).
All and all our stay was perfect. Very cozy, easy access to everything in the area via bike, and if we were too tired to bike, Arta offered to drive. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a relaxing weekend and some outdoor fun.
