ENJOY A FLATETTE LIKE A GARDEN , IN THE HEART OF PARIS.
I live in a fantastic area in Paris : popular, trendy, lively, and with very good transportation links. Located in a private street, full of history, the flat is on the second floor in my mews house;
In this privileged place, this studio of 25 square meters has been ideally fitted out to welcome you with all the necessary comfort to optimize your Parisian stay. Freshly decorated, bright and independant, It is also very quiet, which means you might hear the birds singing in the morning or late afternoon, even though you are so close to transportation and the animated neighbourhood. The flat faces two private and planted gardens.
The studio offers a lounge place with a confortable sofa bed (160 x 200) suitable for two, a dining area, and a small equipped open kitchen. There is a private bathroom with toilettes, sink and a spacious shower (100 x 80).
The tiny kitchen is equiped with oven micro-waves, a nice fridge with a freezer, kettle and coffee machine, and of course all the necessary crockery and utensils. This will enable you to have light diners at home, and make you a nice cup of coffee, tea or herbal tea. Breakfast shall be served in my own kitchen on the ground floor if you wish (included in the price) or I can provide fresh French baguette every morning....
Linen and bathroom linen are provided. Hair dryer.
Television with a big screen.
As I live downstairs, I shall of course be there to welcome you and be happy to help you book a restaurant for an amazing brunch or dinner, and give you various tips to make your stay truly enjoyable and special. Share “my” Paris!
Want to go out? Within five minutes’ walk, there are two tube stations (Belleville and Goncourt) that lead you directly either to the centre of Paris (Chatelet/Beaubourg/le Marais….) or to other interesting areas (Montmartre/Pigalle/Place de l’Etoile…). The nearby tube station République is also very convenient to reach almost every area in Paris. Alternatively, you might fancy taking a bus or renting a bicycle (Velib docking station nearby).
What to do close by? You have a great choice. Immediately close by, you can enjoy the local colourful markets, go to typical Chinese restaurants, have a drink or a special meal in a very French restaurant with a terrace, away from touristy places. You can also stroll around another nearby lively area, around rue Oberkampf, full of different bars and places to be, or go down to Canal Saint-Martin – a 6 min walk away - and enjoy small popular cafés, shops and nice restaurants for lovely daytime visits or a great evening atmosphere.
Anyway, Paris is on my doorstep and it is all yours!
Minimum stay : 2 nights. Parking with extra fee might be available according to the dates of booking.
Last but not least, let me introduce myself: I worked for 20 years in movie production, and four years ago started a new life in home renovations and consultancy. I loved doing up my place so much that I decided I wanted to share my knowledge and interests with other people. And so, my home is just like me, a mixture of passions, flights of fancy and professional interests, that includes gardens of course !
Looking forward to meeting you here !
Neat and respectful hosts will always be welcome in my home.
nota : my little dogs just stay downstairs and will be happy to welcome you !

We had a wonderful stay in Agnes's Flatlette like a garden! Agnes made everything so easy - excellent directions from Gare du Nord to her home. She was home when we arrived and able to show us everything about the flat, even made us a cup of coffee to show us how the coffee maker worked! She then took lots of time to give us some suggestions as to where to go and gave us a little book of maps to help. The flat was spotlessly clean, warm and perfect for two people. The sofabed was very comfortable and it is very quiet and peaceful in her little courtyard although very central for metro stations, shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. The area is great as it is easy to walk to the centre but there is enough to do if you wanted to just explore the immediate area. The Canal St Martin is easy to walk along with plenty of cafes and shops alongside and there are good parks if you want some green space. I would definitely recommend Agnes's flat and look forward to returning I would not want to stay anywhere else in Paris as it was perfect and she made us so welcome.
Agnès's flatette was a perfect place for us to stay while in Paris. It was conveniently located and near a metro station, while also being just far enough outside the very centre of Pairs to avoid masses of tourists. The flatette was a nice large size and had all of the facilities that one could hope for while on holidays, including a nice, clean bathroom area and a coffee machine to use upon waking up. It was also a nice treat to be brought fresh and hot pastries and baguettes by Agnès in the morning. As an added bonus, Agnès's pet dogs were also lovely. Thanks to the overall convenience of the flatette, and the kindness of Agnès, we would definitely stay there again when visiting Paris.
Studio très bien aménagé et coloré. Cet endroit est magnifique et tranquille. En plus nous étions qu' a 5 minutes du metro. Agnès était vraiment très accueillante et nous a donné de très bons conseils
This place is amazing. The room is soo colorful, comfortable and full of character. We loved coming home after a big day out, and enjoyed watching some DVD's when we were too tired to go out. All the furniture is new and very good quality. Agnes has equipped the room with everything we needed, a good coffee machine and she stocked up the fridge with food for the breakfast, tho we had breakfast downstairs one morning. Agnes gave us a lot of tips on the area and helped me pre book the museums and print off the tickets, very helpful.
Mum and I really enjoyed our stay here and fully recommend it.
Possibly the nicest person in Paris. It is hard to imagine anyone coming away from a stay in Agnes' home with a negative feeling. She went above and beyond for us, and we are truly grateful. A la prochaine fois!
Just spent 14 nights on Agnes' third floor flat and had the time of our lives. Comfortable bed, fully stocked kitchenette, very nice bathroom with beautiful shower. A brand new flat screen TV let us watch local and international channels and watch DVDs which Agnes supplied. Building is located half way between two metro stops giving us good access to the rest of the city. Staying with Agnes is like visiting family. She made sure our every need was met and even did our laundry for us. She gave us her recommends for restaurants and drew maps for us so we could find them. Agnes kept us informed about flea markets, Friday farmer's markets and concerts. The street she is on has an international flavor where you find yourself living among a mix of native Parisians and recent immigrants with restaurants, bakeries, cafés and shops that represent both. This is where "real Parisians" live, there is nothing touristy about this part of town. Gentrification has occurred above and below this section of Fab. Rue de Temple and is just starting to move in. Agnes' building was once part of the royal stables built during Louis XIV reign (1700s) with some exposed beams and field-stone walls still preserved. Her garden is very sweet and her two little Jack Russell terriers, Saxo and Venus are a dear little married couple who gave us a cheery greeting each night upon our return.
I absolutely loved staying in the mini studio at Agnes's house. I have stayed with her three times now and would not go anywhere else. The neighbourhood is so colourful and interesting...walking down to the canal and on the evening I stayed in the mini studio (flatette) I stumbled into an artist's studio and had a wonderful discussion and look at his artwork. This sort of thing happens easily in the area.
Staying in the mini studio was fabulous. I enjoyed the garden theme including a lush green grassy carpet and mushrooms! I was able to make myself lunch and dinner with the utensils in the small kitchen and poke my head out of the window to see the garden courtyard. Very private and large enough to really spread out and feel at home. I totally recommend the mini studio as a great place to stay. As always, Agnes is the perfect hostess. She is always there to offer advice and even bought tickets to one of the museums for me so I did not have to queue.
Paris felt like home because of Agnes. Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality.
