ENJOY A FLATETTE LIKE A GARDEN , IN THE HEART OF PARIS.
I live in a fantastic area in Paris : popular, trendy, lively, and with very good transportation links. Located in a private street, full of history, the flat is on the second floor in my mews house;
In this privileged place, this studio of 25 square meters has been ideally fitted out to welcome you with all the necessary comfort to optimize your Parisian stay. Freshly decorated, bright and independant, It is also very quiet, which means you might hear the birds singing in the morning or late afternoon, even though you are so close to transportation and the animated neighbourhood. The flat faces two private and planted gardens.
The studio offers a lounge place with a confortable sofa bed (160 x 200) suitable for two, a dining area, and a small equipped open kitchen. There is a private bathroom with toilettes, sink and a spacious shower (100 x 80).
The tiny kitchen is equiped with oven micro-waves, a nice fridge with a freezer, kettle and coffee machine, and of course all the necessary crockery and utensils. This will enable you to have light diners at home, and make you a nice cup of coffee, tea or herbal tea. And I will provide fresh bread every morning, so you can plan to start your day as you wish.
Linen and bathroom linen are provided. Hair dryer.
Television with a big screen.
As I live downstairs, I shall of course be there to welcome you and be happy to help you book a restaurant for an amazing brunch or dinner, and give you various tips to make your stay truly enjoyable and special. Share “my” Paris!
Want to go out? Within five minutes’ walk, there are two tube stations (Belleville and Goncourt) that lead you directly either to the centre of Paris (Chatelet/Beaubourg/le Marais….) or to other interesting areas (Montmartre/Pigalle/Place de l’Etoile…). The nearby tube station République is also very convenient to reach almost every area in Paris. Alternatively, you might fancy taking a bus or renting a bicycle (Velib docking station nearby).
What to do close by? You have a great choice. Immediately close by, you can enjoy the local colourful markets, go to typical Chinese restaurants, have a drink or a special meal in a very French restaurant with a terrace, away from touristy places. You can also stroll around another nearby lively area, around rue Oberkampf, full of different bars and places to be, or go down to Canal Saint-Martin – a 6 min walk away - and enjoy small popular cafés, shops and nice restaurants for lovely daytime visits or a great evening atmosphere. You can even pick-nick along the Canal when the weather is fine.
Anyway, Paris is on my doorstep and it is all yours!
Minimum stay : 2 nights. Parking with extra fee might be available according to the dates of booking.
Last but not least, let me introduce myself: I worked for 20 years in movie production, and four years ago started a new life in home renovations and consultancy. I loved doing up my place so much that I decided I wanted to share my knowledge and interests with other people. And so, my home is just like me, a mixture of passions, flights of fancy and professional interests, that includes gardens of course !
Looking forward to meeting you here !
Neat and respectful hosts will always be welcome in my home.
nota : my little dogs just stay downstairs and will be happy to welcome you !
No smoking allowed in my home.
You can also have a look at my two other adds on this website on my profile.
You will be independant with your own key, but as I live on the ground floor of the house, I can be there if needed. And also present on arrival for all advices you might request.
The courtyard is a surprising place, like a small village.
it's not allowed to smoke in the house but it's possible in my own courtyard outside.
What an amazing time we had!! Agnes was a complete angel - she was available at any time and made us feel so welcome in her flat. We know this won't be the last time we see her! HIGHLY recommended!!
Agnes is the most wonderful host! She was very accommodating and understanding when my husband and I had to change our plans to stay at the last minute. We stayed at her charming flatette for four nights, and it could not have been better.
Agnes took her time to greet us by giving us a lovely map with restaurant/bistro suggestions for the local area. She brought us delicious fresh bread and pastries every morning - all different so we can try something new each day. She also gave us a lot of tips for where to go to see local Parisian life, such as directions to a local market and where to go for the best ice cream.
The flatette itself is very sweet. It's cozy but incredibly clean, with a comfortable bed, good sized bathroom and small kitchen where we could have breakfast and make coffee. The colours in the room were most interesting though, there was never a shortage of fun things to look at! It really was like staying in a garden. It's also very well located, only a few minutes walk to Belleville station (to go to Montmartre in 10-15 mins) and Goncourt station (10 mins train to the centre of Paris). It's also nice just to walk to the center of Paris, in fact we walked to Notre Dame in about 40 minutes. The flatette is also close to the trendy Canal St Martin, which is lovely at night!
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and in fact will be staying with Agnes again for a few days at the end of our European trip. Highly recommend everyone to stay with Agnes for a wonderful experience of Parisian life!
My mother and i stayed at the flatette for six days and we had a wonderful time and enjoyed every minute of it. Agnés is the perfect host and her place is a real treasure, hidden in a beautiful courtyard behind a bustling street. The trendy Canal St. Martin and the Oberkampf quarter are just a little walk away and Agnés provided os with lots of great tips and the best map to discover the neighborhood and the rest of exciting Paris. You have a great starting point to reach the Marais quarter by walking and there is a metro station just around the corner. We got, during our stay a various combination of delicious pain au chocolate, croissants and baguette for breakfast and the Flatette is the perfect place to relax and gather new energy for the next day. I am already looking forward to my second visit at Agnés place and to meet her and her cute dogs again.

J'ai passé un moment très agréable chez Agnès. Elle connaît bien son quartier et j'ai beaucoup apprécié tous les bons plans qu'elle m'a proposé.
We stayed for 5 nights at Agnes' Flatette and it was wonderful.
The Host: Agnes was amazing, helped with everything we needed. made us feel at home from the very first moment. Our flight was delayed and we had a bit of a problem with communication right before our arrival, but everything turned up ok and Agnes was waiting for us at her home even though we were almost 6 hours late. During our stay she helped us with building the itinerary of our trip with great advice as to where to go and eat, and what attractions are more interesting. She brought us freshly baked bread every morning for our breakfast in the room and kept making sure all is well during the stay.
The Apt: The flatette is inside Agnes' house - it's simply the third floor in the house so every time you come and go, you go through the first floor and meet Agnes. The room was very clean and very quiet since it is facing an inside courtyard. We had our own key and felt very independent. The flatette is small (about 20m2?) like a lot of places in Paris, but has everything you need in it: a folding sofa-bed which was quite comfortable and big, a closet, a kitchenette, and a small bathroom. We had a Wifi connection that worked great. The location of the apt is ok, It's not in the heart of paris, but very close to 2 metro stations (goncourt/belleville) which will take you to the center in no-time. it's also close enough to canal st. martin for a nice evening or morning walk.
In summary: A great place for a visit in Paris. especially for the price/value. We will for sure come stay at agnes' again next time we come...
We had a wonderful time in Agnes' funky flatlette. It was clean, quiet, and a perfect base for us to explore Paris. And Agnes was a great host. She was always willing to provide suggestions of interesting places to go that are less touristy and a more authentic Paris experience. We will definitely stay with her if we visit Paris again.
