About This Listing
Built in the 1970's this was the tallest standing building for over 10 years. The same architects built the Sears Towers & Freedom Towers. This elegant tree covered area, surrounded by quant parks, captures the urban Pacific Northwest perfectly.
This 600 square foot suite has a fully stocked kitchen, with complimentary local coffee and wine. The modern deco includes a comfortable oversized futon and all the furnishing you would need during your trip. The covered balcony and secured entrance make this the perfect alternative to the Hilton with newly renovated interior, stainless steel appliances and granite.
Guests stay by themselves in this one bedroom with a queen bed, and fully equipped bathroom. The restaurants and food carts in the area are perfect for any palate.
Enjoy the pool, hot tub, and new sauna. There is also a nice fire pit, courtyard and BBQ for cooking or entertaining. Also included is free on-site laundry.
Interaction with Guests
I am easily accessible and happy to accommodate.
The neighborhood has 4 pedestrian parks with beautiful fountains and artwork. Urban planning aficionados travel from around the world to see this area. The Keller Auditorium and Waterfront park are within two blocks, and all of downtown is accessible with a 7 min rail ride or 10 minute walk about 7 blocks.
The MAX and Streetcar, Portland's Light Rail, are easily accessible from the front door. Take a cab anywhere in portland for less than $10.
Treat my place as your own. Please no smoking and no pets. Thanks.
Booked last minute (same day) and Chris was very accommodating to let me into the building late at night. Very clean, exactly as shown in pictures.
Chris was an awesome host, made sure the place was ready in time, and even gave me some suggestions on what to do in my one night in town. The place was neat, clean, and has a great view!
Chris' place is in a great location. The check in/out process was super easy. He was quick to respond to my questions. The only issue I had was there isn't cable t.v. as advertised. He has a really nice t.v., but I used it to stream t.v. from my computer, which worked out ok, but isn't ideal. It appears there is Apple T.V., but no idea how to use it. The place was dusty and there were a few items missing from the kitchen that would have been helpful, i.e. spatula.
Overall a nice place and great location. Food trucks abound!
I arrived late at night and Chris made it easy to enter the building without him needing to be there.
My stay was pleasant. The room was quiet with the exception of occasional hot-rods running down the street. I enjoyed the balcony, and being extremely close to the riverfront.
