The Space

2 rooms available for rent on a 125 acre farm with breakfast included. This is a sustainable family farm with lots of veggies growing, dairy goats, chickens, and 5 horses. Near Ithaca with fishing, hiking and the Finger Lakes wine trails nearby. Come in the winter and you have Greek Peak downhill skiing 3 miles away, and Xcountry skiing on our farm and less than a half mile away on the Finger Lakes Trail. In the spring , summer and fall enjoy the spectacular scenery, learn to milk a goat, pick apples from our orchard, and go home with some organic veggies. Optional riding lessons or trail rides on our wonderful horses available for an additional fee.
For larger groups up to 30, we have plenty of outdoor space to hold gatherings like family reunions, graduation and birthday parties, any event that could be enjoyed on one of the most scenic farms in Cortland County.

  • Fran was an awesome host and it was a really cool experience staying at her place. We were only there for a short time on our road trip, but while we were there we were able to check out her adorable animals and she gave us a tour of the farm life. Unfortunately we had to leave super early, but Fran was a very generous host! Hope to swing back around the area again!

  • The Host was very great! Her husband called same day as arrival to be sure I knew how to find the place. Once I arrived, they were both home with a big greeting, showed me around the farm and to my room and explained how to come and go etc. Breakfast, a home cooked meal and coffee the next morning was delicious! Again, both the host and her husband were around working but happy to engage in conversation. I was particularly interested in all the animals and they were very kind and patient telling me about them all.

  • Excellent experience! The host was friendly, helpful - willing to answer all my questions about the farm and farming. Both she and her husband were gracious, offered me coffee, food etc.

  • Staying at Fran's was better than expected. I arrived late and was warmly greeted and immediately felt like part of the family. The room was exceedingly comfortable, the animals were a hoot (pigs! baby goats! chickens! horses!), and I loved the solid sense of community created there. They prepared a kickin' breakfast each day with their own cultivated products. I wish I could have stayed longer!

  • Fran was a wonderful host for the 2 nights we stayed at her farm. The bed / bath rooms were clean and the breakfast was delicious. The experience of living with farm animals and elements of nature was wonderful. Thank you Fran for hosting us.

  • Fran was a perfect host. We learned a lot from her about her life raising livestock in Upstate New York. Accommodations were fine. Bed very comfortable! Great breakfast!

  • Second time staying and hope to go back sooner rather than later! Weather decided not to co-operate but we still had a great time on the farm!

  • The only thing I didn't like was that we arrived so late in the evening that we missed an opportunity to spend more time with Fran. She was very understanding of a late check-in and it was easy to just slip into her world. You should love animals of all kinds- but, duh, farm. Do NOT skip the farm to table breakfast in the morning (be a risk taker on your choices) and definitely plan on staying through the afternoon to watch her loving and tender care of farm family. This is a perfect getaway for locals having a late day at Greek Peak, but not wanting to pay the $$$ to stay at the ski lodge. <3

  • Lovely place with lovely people. Stayed here for 2 nights in deep winter. Charming and warm room with a super comfy bed. Access to a private bathroom. The farm itself is beautiful and your heart is immediately won over by the animals (all incredibly affectionate). Fran is a fountain of information about farm life and a great conversationalist. I came here to snowboard at Greek Peak for a day and this was the perfect place to come home to. Would definitely go again!

  • Absolutely loved Fran and her lovely little farm! I only stayed one night while I was in town for a wedding, but truly enjoyed my time with Fran and her animal companions. Fran made a really delicious breakfast in the morning and then I accompanied her on some chores around the farm- meeting the goats, pigs and horses! this is truly a great escape from the rush of a busy life. I wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy some cross-country skiing or snowshoeing. Winter time in this area is just beautiful for all outdoor enthusiasts. I would definitely go back if life every brings me this way again!
