Our Park Slope brownstone is next to Prospect Park and near subways, bars, shops, restaurants and more. You will have exclusive use of a floor with three spare bedrooms and a bathroom, where you will find comfort and privacy.
Our four story brownstone is on a quiet residential block. Although the house was built in the late 1800s, it is comfortable and cozy. There are two bedrooms with very comfortable full size beds and another one with a bunk bed. The room with the bunk bed also makes for a nice sitting room. All are on the same floor. Both bedrooms have closet and drawer space for you to use. We book only one guest or set of guests at a time. So, there will not be anyone other than you or your group sharing the guest space. There is a bathroom and shower that is exclusively for guests while they are here. So, we can pretty easily accommodate up to a family or group of six. If you have work to do, there is also an office on the top floor that is also a nice sitting room.
In addition to their private space, guests will have full access to the common areas of the house including the kitchen, dining room, living room and garden. We hope that guests will take what they want from the refrigerator and cupboard and make themselves at home. We have coffee, tea, breakfast and other items available for the guests.
Interaction with Guests
We look forward to meeting you, accommodating your needs and giving you privacy and space so that you have a productive and enjoyable visit. We are happy to help out with recommendations and arrangements.
The house is on 11th Street right near Prospect Park in the Park Slope Historic District. It is on the block that Time Out New York said is the 20th best block in NYC, and in the heart of Park Slope, which Money Magazine called the best neighborhood in NYC. There is plenty to enjoy in Brooklyn and it is a convenient subway ride to Manhattan. We are a quarter block from Prospect Park, where there are free concerts and other performances in the summer, playgrounds and ball fields, strolling paths, and a zoo, Audubon Center and year-round skating center. There are tons of great restaurants, shops, bars, coffee shops, bakeries, music venues and other attractions nearby. We are a few blocks from the New York City Marathon route. There are great farmers' markets every weekend. Attractions like the Brooklyn Museum, the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, and Greenwood Cemetery are less than a mile away. The Brooklyn Academy of Music and the Barclay's Center are a couple of miles away. You can take the F train straight to Coney Island, DUMBO, the Brooklyn Bridge and there is lots more to explore in Brooklyn.
We are a couple of minutes from the F and G trains and a longer walk to other trains. There are lots of transfer options using those lines. There are nearby bus routes and car services. There is parking on the street (although it can sometimes be difficult to find a spot) and also two indoor garages within a block's distance. People from out of town arrive by all means -- car, train and cab. Some have taken the train from JFK airport. You can find the NYC subway map at (website hidden). Another good website for figuring out how to get around is (website hidden).
Other Things to Note
We have a cat and a dog. The dog is about fifty pounds and does not shed. They are both friendly and happy to have guests. We will have a free New York Times for you.
We are fully compliant with all applicable laws and regulations.
We ask that you act courteously and let us know if there is anything that we can do to meet any needs or to make your stay more comfortable, productive or enjoyable. We do not allow smoking on the premises. In addition, please do not eat meals in the bedrooms.
We enjoyed a wonderful trip down "Memory Lane" in Park Slope. The frigid weather could not deter us! The warmth and kindness of Linda and Jason, along with their beautiful accommodations
warrant a return visit. We look forward to it
Linda and Jason were extremely accommodating and friendly hosts and made us feel very welcome in their lovely home. Our infant son was with us and having multiple rooms was fantastic - he could be napping in one room while we were reading or working in one of the other rooms. The rooms were clean and had plenty of light. As (former) residents of Park Slope, we can confirm without reservation that the location is wonderful, especially for families - close to the park, restaurants, shops, and public transportation.
Jason & Linda were both friendly and extremely accommodating. They were more than flexible with our needs and generous in their own home. The house is beautiful and in a great location. We will stay there again!
Feels like home! This was our second stay with Linda and Jason, and once again they were outstanding hosts. They anticipate every need and are gracious in extending the amenities of their beautiful home. This will be our go-to Airbnb whenever we have a need to be in Brooklyn!
We really enjoyed our stay in this stunningly beautiful brownstone. The hosts were warm and welcoming, even the pets are sweethearts. Wonderful location too.
My husband and I had the good fortune to find this fabulous home. The home was inviting, the hosts were welcoming (including their dog) and our accommodations were exceptional. Linda was sincere in her desire to make our stay enjoyable. Our room and private bath were impeccably clean. Her attention to detail was without compromise. We hope to have the opportunity to stay again!
The location was excellent and we enjoyed sharing the beautiful Brooklyn Brownstone home with Linda, Jason, Splash the dog and Ellie the cat. We were made very welcome and had full use of the house. We enjoyed a very clean & comfortable top floor room with adjoining shower/bathroom. Very convenient for us to visit our daughter who lives in same street. Prospect Park is very close and subway stations are nearby.
We are a married couple with two girls away at college. So we have some empty rooms. In fact, an entire floor. Additionally, we have a fat cat and a sweet old dog. We are not home much. We are relaxed and happy to have folks enjoy our home and neighborhood. We love Brooklyn. It is an oasis in a big metropolitan area. We enjoy running and biking in Prospect Park. We enjoy yoga and exercise classes at the local YMCA. We enjoy going to delicious local restaurants and exploring the city. The best family vacation we have taken was a hut to hut hiking trip in Iceland.
