Welcome to our cute and cozy 600 SF garden level (which means basement!) apartment, which offers you a central location with all of the excitement of city living plus amenities such as a large shared patio, washer/dryer and reserved parking space!
APARTMENT: Comes fully furnished, with sunny yellow paint on the walls, new tile in the kitchen and carpet throughout the living and bedroom areas. The apartment is in the basement, so there are low ceilings throughout, particularly in the hallway.
BEDROOM: Features a full size platform bed with pillow topper, big closet with wooden hangers, laundry basket, large dresser and shelving.
LIVING ROOM: Relax on the fold-flat futon couch while you watch a movie on the 42" flat screen TV. Space also includes antique coffee table and chair, and an assortment of board games
KITCHEN: Comes stocked with everything you need to prepare and enjoy a meal, as well as a stainless steel fridge and range/oven, microwave, double sink and coffee maker. Enjoy your meal at the comfortable dining table for two.
BATHROOM: The bathroom comes fully stocked with towels, soap, shampoo and conditioner, and has a toilet, shower stall and shelving. The apartment only has one sink, just outside the bathroom door in the kitchen, so if you're grossed out by the idea of brushing your teeth where you also wash your dishes, you won't be happy here.
PARKING: Your rental comes with one reserved parking space in back, allowing you easy access to the apartment.

The apartment has it's own private entrance, accessible only through the back patio area. There is a short flight of concrete stairs with railing down to the basement entrance.
You'll have the entire apartment to yourself, along with access to the shared private patio and your own parking space.
Interaction with Guests
We live upstairs in the main house, and might see each other as we come and go, but that's it. We keep fairly busy schedules, so if it's important to you to have a really interactive host/guest experience, you could end up disappointed. Of course we're always available via phone, text, or email.
Capitol Hill is Denver's most vibrant and densely populated urban neighborhood. We live two blocks off of Colfax, providing you excellent access to restaurants, nightlife, and the 15 Bus which will take you straight downtown if you don't care to walk.
Also nearby is the Ogden Theater (2 blocks), Whole Foods (2 blocks), Cheesman Park (4 blocks), Thump Coffee Roasters (2 blocks), Hugo's Colorado Beer & Spirits (2 blocks), and King Soopers/Starbucks (4 Blocks). We have two highly-acclaimed restaurants within walking distance, Potager (4 blocks) and Table 6 (7 blocks). Downtown is a short 15 minute walk down 14th Street.
There are six bus routes within 2 blocks of the house, including the 15 (Colfax) 12 (Downing), 10 (E. 12th Ave).
Other Things to Note
NOTES ON NOISE:
We are very quiet and respectful, but unfortunately cannot eliminate everyday noise from upstairs such a walking, television, etc. We will do our best to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
Additionally, we are on a major thoroughfare that connects Capitol Hill to Washington Park. You will definitely hear street noise and the occasional fire truck. If you aren't used to city noise, or need absolute quiet for your stay, our place definitely isn't for you.
Guests will be held personally responsible for any damage or destruction of property caused by themselves, other occupants, children or guests. The property has a 2 person maximum.
HARD & FAST RULES:
*Absolutely no smoking of any kind is allowed the apartment. You are welcome to smoke cigarettes or pot on the patio, so long as you properly dispose of butts/trash.
*No pets of any kind. If you are found to have any sort of animal, you will be asked to leave and your deposit will be forfeited.
*We ask you to be respectful of our neighbors and keep noise to a minimum, especially when outside after 10 p.m.
We don't have many rules, but we're serious about the ones we have. Violation of any will result in loss of deposit.
Meghan and Preston were amazing hosts. Everything they mention in their description is accurate. The listed apartment was very well kept, comfortable, and had all of the ammenities. Capitol Hill is a great neighborhood, and this place gives you access to all the neighorhood has to offer. If and when we return to Denver, we will definitely be staying here again.
My boyfriend and I decided to go to Denver for a last minute getaway. This place was perfect for our budget and close enough to the city that we could walk downtown, and had a parking spot that allowed us to rent a car and do a couple of day trips to the mountains. Our host were very friendly, and gave us some great advice on where to eat and hike. The apartment is in the basement and very cozy. Some other pros I would say is the price, full kitchen, private bedroom and the outdoor patio is nice for grilling. The apartment was clean quiet, and stocked with all the essentials. The only cons is that the bathroom is very small and the sink is shared with the kitchen. Their is no dishwasher but there is a washer and dryer. The apartment is on the cooler side but felt nice because it was sunny and hot the week we went.
Preston and Meghan did a great job at making us feel welcome and at home. Not only was the apartment clean and cozy but they left little touches here and there that really showed us they cared.
Our stay in Meghan and Preston's Capitol Hill apartment was great. It's in a nice neighborhood, and close to a number of beautiful areas (Cheesman Park & Denver Botanic Gardens) and good stores (a few blocks from Whole Foods and other shops). The apartment itself is clean and cozy, and complete with all the essentials. Meghan and Preston were also very easy to communicate with and quick to respond to any questions. I'd definitely recommend their apartment and wouldn't hesitate to stay again if we're ever back in the area!
This cozy apartment was just as expected. A fantastic location with great perks, especially the stocked kitchen and parking in the back. Meghan and Preston left us to our own devices, but were easily available when needed. Perfect for a few days of rest.
My friend and I really enjoyed our stay at Meghan & Preston's! Everything was exactly as expected - location was perfect, the apartment was very clean & comfy, and Meghan & Preston were very helpful and communicative. They even went above and beyond by providing lots of toiletries, coffee and even candy! Would recommend this listing to anyone! Such great hosts!
This is a GREAT spot in Denver. The place was very neat and kept clean. The bed was comfortable and the covers were extremely comfy. The small outdoor patio was nice. I didn't have much interaction with Meghan or Preston but from what conversations I did have they seem really nice. They also responded to any emails promptly and were quick to offer suggestions to questions I asked.
They left us little snacks and there was coffee and tea available for us to use. There were also plenty of plates and towels. It was nice to have a stove and fridge for leftovers or to prepare food. I would definitely stay here again if I go back to Denver.
