Aleksandra was a great host and helped book a taxi from the airport. Her apartment was very clean and perfectly located for great restaurants and bars. I would highly recommend Aleks! Thanks Roy
This apartment was located exactly where I wanted it... in the heart of the old city. The suite was clean and well appointed. Aleksandra thought of most everything, including fixings for a light breakfast to get me going. Because it is "downtown", it is accompanied by the sights and sounds of that locale... people, music, trams... my friend (a local) tells me that in the school year it is a favourite weekend area for students. Quite lively then I expect. Anyway, Aleksandra has a lovely clean place here.
We have been welcomed by Aleksandra's mother who was very nice to us. Aleksandra left us a guide with all the museums and bars/restaurants where we should go to. Every recommended places where we've been to were amazing. The flat was very nice and well (email hidden)e washing machine was unfortunately out of service but there was a flatiron and an ironing board which were very convenient since we were going to a wedding. This flat is the kind of flat where you feel a bit at home.
Were I going back to Krakow, I'd definitively go back to this place !
We had an enjoyable stay at Aleksandra's flat. The photos are accurate - spacious and comfortable, with all the essentials (we couldn't find the hairdryer though...?!) The shower worked well which is always important.
Aleksandra's mum greeted us on arrival and was very helpful in explaining anything we needed to know about the city, and some helpful sheets were left to give us pointers. There are nice restaurants and decent supermarkets close by, and the Tourist office is less than a minute away!
Location is generally pretty good for getting to the centre and to the Salt Mine, but it should be noted that there is nowhere close by to leave luggage once you've checked out, so we had to go to the train station (a tram ride or long walk) to store our bags, before heading back out again. It wasn't a big issue but at previous places we have been able to leave our bags somewhere close.
We were provided with cornflakes, tea & coffee and juice but the bread was past it's use-by date so not sure it really constituted 'continental breakfast'!
The trams outside are very noisy. Fortunately they stop around midnight so you can get a decent sleep, but it is disturbingly loud during the day and they come past every minute or two. Luckily there is a fan which works well, because we had to shut the windows which means the flat gets very warm.
Wonderful stay, very nice location in the heart of the old jewish part, with plenty of very nice terrasses for breakfast & dinner, and many places for going out at night. Close to main square (15-20 min walk) Aleksandra & her mom welcomed us.
Only important to note that the tram is passing in front of the apartment, making some noise, but overall didn't prevent us from sleeping very well.
We would definitely recommend it & come again.
Had an amazing stay at Venice Lagoon. The flat was clean and tidy and it was a great location near the Jewish Quarter. There were loads of great bars and restaurants on the doorstep.
Aleksandra's Mum, Nina, was there to meet us and she was really helpful and friendly.
The noise from the trams outside were quite loud but it was a small price to pay for such a great location.
My friend and I had a wonderful stay at Aleksandra's apartment in Krakow. The apartment is spacious, clean, modern, with nice high ceilings and located in the best spot of Krakow. Situated in the Jewish Quarter, the place is just a stone's throw from two squares (one which has loads of cool and varied restaurants, bars and cafes) and the other which has more of a street food/market vibe). There are also some really nice shops on the street, and it's still easily within walking distance to the old town. There was some miscommunication between Aleksandra and I in the lead up to my stay which caused my checking in to not be the smoothest, however once we realised there'd been miscommunication, Aleksandra quickly acted to get us into the apartment as soon as possible and her mum was really lovely showing us around the apartment and giving us tips on where to eat, shop, do our laundry, etc. I'd definitely recommend this apartment for your stay in Krakow - it looks exactly like in the photos, and is the perfect base to sight-see in this interesting and charming city, and also a great apartment to just chill out and relax. I hope to stay here again one day!
