large double room with shared bathroom available in the picturesque fishing village area of Newhaven on Edinburgh's coastline.
I have a large double room with shared bathroom available in the picturesque fishing village area of Newhaven on Edinburgh's coastline.
This is a large property offering a good sized, comfortable room so hopefully you will enjoy your stay. I have been renovating the property over the last year which is now stunning, tastefully modernized inline with the buildings history.
Steeped in history this top floor 1896 tenement flat overlooks the old Newhaven harbor with views up the River Forth. Buses are only 1 minute away, the city center 15 mins by bus and 3.5 miles walking distance from Edinburgh's city center. There is free parking outside and a wealth of bars, restaurants and shopping on nearby waterfront.
You are free to use the kitchen and living areas as you wish including washing machine. All I ask is that you leave the place as you found it and replace anything that you use or break.
I am a business professional during the day so I will be around in the evening living in the other room at the bottom of the flat so will be nearby should you have any questions and I will respect your privacy for your stay giving you the freedom of using all the living space and amenities in the property.
Ian's house was the perfect choice for our Edinburgh stay. Lovely decor, great location and breakfast provided. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone as a host.
Ian is a great guy, easy to talk to, very helpful and considerate. Really nice apartment, close to the bus that takes you everywhere (maybe 20-25 min bus ride to most places in the city). Thanks!
We had a great stay. Ian was verry friendly and helpfull. Location was perfect. Bus was only 2 minutes walk. Thanks
Ian has a great place just outside downtown Edinburgh, easy to access by bus and to get to/from the airport. We felt very welcome during our stay. We were there during the Fringe and he was kind enough to even drive us into town, when he was heading in and gave us tips about what to do and see during our trip. The apartment is very clean and comfortable, near the water front.
Ian was an excellent host. He gave us a lot of privacy and space within his apartment and even left numerous breakfast choices out for us. While there we decided to stay an extra day - he was happy to accommodate, always quick to get back to me via text.
The room was more than adequate, comfortable with a nice view of the sea. The area was very quiet, with a collection of good restaurants on the docks a short stroll away. The centre of Edinburgh is a 15 min bus ride.
If you're looking for a good place to stay in Edinburgh with a laid back accommodating host, look no further!
