Great location, great appartment. Sam is a great host as well and took care of all in perfect manner.
My experience was amazing. I and my girlfriend stayed for 10 days in the apartment. Sam was very helpful from the first contact and helped us in all questions and clarifications. The location is very good, near the subway and very good neighborhood. I really suggest the place.
It was very good to stay at Sam's place.
The location is very good, because you're right in the middle of town - if you want to go downtown it's close, if you decide to vistit uptown it's also nearby.
The apartment it's cosy; we went there in the winter, and the heating worked perfectly. It has a very fast Wi-Fi, television and all the stuff to use when you're going to cook, clean or use the bathroom: Sam leaves the right things for you.
He also furnishes the bedding and towels.
He's is a very kind person - so it seems that you're dealing with a friend, but he remains professional.
Thank you, Sam, for everything! And, new guests, enjoy your trip (for sure he's gonna help you)!
Sam was great to work with from our first communications to meeting us at the apartment and making sure everything was in order. And everything was! Although the living space is small, the bedroom is actually larger than you would expect. More importantly, there are 4 windows in the apartment (which have been replaced so they work and don't leak cold air); there's plenty of light, especially in the bedroom; and the platform bed is comfortable. There's one regular-sized closet and the furniture (Ikea?) provides good, clean storage space. There are plenty of electrical outlets (wiring is new). The bathroom is nice - new fixtures, plenty of hot water and water pressure! The kitchen has what you need for a few days and once again - it's all relatively new and functions well. The apartment is VERY quiet and only one flight up - very desirable features in NYC. And there's even a brick wall and high ceilings! We liked the neighborhood - many restaurants, close enough to subways, interesting shops, quiet on E 5th St. Overall, a nice place to stay for a day - or hopefully longer!
We were very happy with our experience at Sam's apartment. Everything was easy and he went out of his way to make sure we had what we needed. He communicated very promptly which was nice. Great host! Thanks!
We had the pleasure of staying in Sam's apartment for 10 days, over the Christmas and New Year break, and what a pleasure it was. Upon arrival, Sam was extremely friendly, welcoming and attentive. The apartment was clean, tidy and just big enough for two girls with their luggage. It was only one flight of stairs up, which was fantastic with shopping bags! Unlike other Airbnb's we've stayed in, Sam's place was well-stocked with all the necessities, which made our stay very comfortable - a home away from home!
The subway (2nd Ave stop on the F line) is very close and convenient (about a five minute walk). The F line is very handy for travel all around the city, and Brooklyn, and links up with many other lines. With such a fantastic metrosystem, I'm sure this is the case all over Manhattan, but we really appreciated the ease and convenience provided by the F line and it's close proximity to the apartment.
Sam was easily contactable for the duration of our stay, even during the holidays. Whether it was a recommendation for dinner or nearby amenities, he responded as promptly as possible with helpful information. The area itself is wonderful! Bustling and vibrant, despite the holidays, with fabulous restaurants and bars on your doorstep and that true 'East Village' vibe. With a police station nearby, it always felt safe!
We would not hesitate in recommending the area to anyone, and would be quick to contact Sam for a return stay in his great place on our next trip to NYC. Cheers, Sam, and we hope to see you again soon!
