My place has one bedroom/ living room, separate is a kitchen with a sandwich toaster, a kettle, fridge, a sink and an electric cooking plate. It has a bathroom with a shower and a toilet.
It's situated in the center of town just a few steps from the town main square. It has a view towards the cathedral and is north oriented so in the summer months is in the shade and keeps pretty cool even in the warm days. There is air-conditioning unit and a fan if someone needs some additional cooling :).
It is a lovely small place with very relaxing feel to it.
Two people can be comfortable in it but can hold one or two more if you want to squeeze.
It has one big bed/pullout sofa that can easily have three people on it but again it depends how comfortable you want to be.
All around are restaurants, bars, shops and an open food market a minute walk away. Places to go out are all around and it has a great offer for any taste.
Just a minute away on the main square there are tram lines to all directions. It is only two tram stops away from the main train station and another three from the main bus station.
This place is special for it's location, and feel. I believe there is something inspiring and even deeply romantic to stay in an old building with so much history in the walls.
On one of the walls I did my best to expose some of that history by showing some of the old paint beneath the new one. There are some very interesting painted patterns that now, after probably more than a hundred years, once again see the light of day.
Sweet apartment with great location.
Neven was a perfect host even though we arrived at our meeting place late due to thinking we were in the right square with the horsemen.
The room is small but perfect for a few days as it is in the best location to cafes, restaurants and basically everything you would want to see while in Zagreb. Highly recommended.
If you're visiting Zagreb and need a place to crash, Neven's apartment is an excellent choice. The bed (sofa) was comfy and the apartment is quiet, despite its central location.
Neven was an amazing host!
My wife and I stayed at his room right off the main square in downtown Zagreb for one night. The night we arrived was cold and Neven met us out on the square to show us to the apartment. The room was amazingly warm and cozy. The bed is on the floor and there is not a lot of room to spread out. Neven provided a fridge and a burner but for a long term stay it would be a bit of a struggle to cook. The shower was warm and the internet was great. He gave us the short tour and bit later in the evening we met Neven for drinks.
If you have a chance absolutely sit down for a conversation with Neven. His story is incredible and he is so hospitable.
There is an open air market within a 5 minute walk. The tram, restaurants, cafes and markets are all within walking distance as well. The next we visit Zagreb we will be staying with Neven, and if that is not possible we are definitely getting drinks.
Our stay to Neven apartment was very nice. The apartment corresponds to the offer and the location of the studio is optimal. It's very close the city center, perfect for touristic stay. I recommand Neven and his apartment even if it's better to comunicate when cell phone works well! ;-)
We really enjoyed the location of the apartment! Everything was conveniently close and we didn't need to use the car at all. The apartment is clean and perfectly fine for two people.
Neven was very helpful and friendly. The studio is ideally located in the heart of old Zagreb.
Nice and clean apartment to a good price. The apartments location is unbelievable, right in the center of the beautiful city of Zagreb. Neven was a service minded host!
A very good deal! The price is extremely low and the studio apartment is very small and basic, but everything is functional and clean. The most important thing: the location is unbeatable, bang in the middle of the city centre.
Neven's place is in the perfect spot, it has a lovely view of the cathedral and is right in the middle of town, it really couldn't be more convenient and is an excellent budget option. However, I would caution that it is very basic. The kitchen is very limited and I would only use it to cook in a real emergency, the bathroom and bedroom/living room are fine but again very, very basic. There was also a bit of a damp smell in the whole apartment while we were there.
