My cute, comfortable studio is an oasis in the heart of San Francisco. This is the true city experience: just blocks away from Union Square and Market Street, and steps away from the Polk Street nightlife, with easy access to public transportation.
This classic San Francisco-style apartment gets great light and has total privacy, with a lovely garden view from the bed. Located on the fourth floor at the end of the hall, this unit gets zero street noise and has quiet, respectful neighbors. The building has a charming, vintage birdcage elevator but stairs are available as well.
The apartment is a large studio with a modern kitchen, complete with a dishwasher, espresso machine, humongous fridge, and gas stove. There is a queen size bed and a comfortable mid-century sectional couch. The bathroom has a bathtub and freestanding sink, with a hairdryer and toiletries included.
Interaction with Guests
I'll usually be there to do the key swap and get you situated, and will typically be around San Francisco during your stay to help if you need anything. Otherwise I will be out of your hair, and you are free to enjoy my home like it was your own!
The neighborhood is fairly active on weekends, and is very safe even for a woman at night. It is within walking distance of San Francisco's best Asian food (Lers Ros, Borobudur, Saigon Sandwich), and there is a wealth of shops and business to choose from along Polk Street.
There are a number of easily accessible bus lines in the area: the 49 runs north to the Marina and south to the Mission, and the 38 runs west to Golden Gate Park and the Richmond. Hayes Valley is a 15 minute walk to the southwest and Union Square is a 10 minute walk east.
Absolutely no smoking in the house or the building.
Megan's flat was so charming and accommodating. I stayed for 5 days and didn't want to leave! It's the perfect size and is in a great location. The unit has a lot of natural sunlight, and we even opened the windows to let in a fresh breeze. She has a pretty stocked kitchen, perfect for eating in one night. Not a lot of closet space for hanging clothes, but that's ok. I felt very safe there as well. If you're tall, the shower might be a bit tough as the nozzle isn't very high. I am short, so it didn't matter too much to me. Overall, a fantastic experience, and I would absolutely stay there again!
Fantastic stay in Megan's apartment; photos and description were accurate and so everything was as expected, clean, tidy, homely and habitable. But the experience extended beyond the apartment itself, I asked for some advice on where to go to in San Francisco for good food, coffee and bars and Megan was kind enough to write out a list of descriptive recommendations; each one hit the spot and as a result my time here was much more enjoyable and action packed!
Customer service is everything and it was prevalent with Megan.
Definitely stay again!
Great apartment, feels like home! Really enjoyed my stay here.
It is worth noting, though, that if you are a late sleeper, this apartment might not be for you. The blinds don't close and it gets pretty sunny in the morning!
Outside of that, I recommend the apartment 100%
Megan's apartment was amazing! I was in San Francisco for work and it was the perfect place to come to and kick back after a long day. Megan was very attentive and flexible, and checked in every now and then via text message to make sure my stay was going well. She even accommodated an extra person staying with me at the last minute. I felt very at-home in the apartment and will definitely stay there again when I'm back. Thanks Megan!
Awesome experience staying here! The apartment is exactly how it is described in the description and even more spacious than anticipated. Megan is awesome as well, very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The neighborhood was great as well, lots of good restaurants in the area and not a far walk from just about everything (Union square, Ferry Building etc.) I would definitely stay here again if I come back to San Francisco! Thanks so much Megan!!
Megan was a very good host for us the weekend we stayed in San Francisco. The apartment is exactly how it is pictured in the post and we loved the privacy, quiet and extra space. This is not a vacation unit, so it was more like staying at your friends place, but overall we had a really nice experience.
Megan was awesome. She made it very easy to find by staying in direct communication with us. She even checked in during our stay to make sure all was good. Overall, very happy with her as a host.
Not to mention, the place was great. In a good location in a very secure building. The place had a lot of light, was comfortable, and it felt cozy. We enjoyed cooking there.
I'm a photographer based in San Francisco. Born and raised in Singapore, I love traveling and plan on eating my way around the globe. I enjoy strong coffee, vintage fashion, and crossword puzzles.
