Franc's place is very well equiped and comfortable. It's easy to reach Venice rather with the bus which is in front of the residence or the train (10mn walk). It's also a good location to visit other area such as Trevise. We haven't met Franc during our stay but still she remained very available and made everything super easy for us to enjoy our time. We trully appreciate our stay in her place and we defenitely recommand it!
Lovely place and lovely stay. We felt welcomed and settled in quickly. Very secure for both us and our car, as was in a gated community. Quick walk to the train station, which was the third stop from Venice. Such a wonderfully warm apartment, so nice to come home to after a day at Venice. Very spacious and well set out. Overall, great place to stay, and the local large market on Monday morning was an added bonus. Thanks once again Franc.
Great welcome from host's mother. Fantastic generous flat with all necessary amenities. Separately, a great veggie shop just round the corner with fab choice!! The flat is located on the way from the Treviso airport towards Venice. We found it convenient as we moved freely between Venice and Vicenza! Lovely cheap (email hidden) at the train station is an addition. Worth renting! Thank you Franc!
This was a fantastic experience . We became residents of Mogliano Veneto while we stayed there for 90 days. It was a short walk to the center of town for restaurants and bars. Also the rail way station. A 5 euro round trip to Venice in 10-15 minutes was a dream come true. We went to Venice 5 times. The Vero Bar in town was a great place for spritzes. As was La Fenice and the Meridiana hotel. Great snacks and a good Aperol Spritz. The little bar/café near the market made great cappocinos and had delicious flaky coronetos. Near the apartment Georgio has the La Lampda restaurant with a micro brewery and countless brands of beers in stock. He is a Oktoberfest crazy man that we became friends with. He serves German foods with snacks and great beers.
On arrival in Mogliano if navigating by GPS you have to be aware that there are two Via Terraglio, 28 in Mogliano. One is near a bank in the center of town and the apartment is south of there across from the Esso station and you turn in at the red and white striped railings. The Basalellas will meet you has it is a gated community.
If staying a long time in the summer the place is not air conditioned so it can get a little warm. We borrowed a fan from our friends in Aviano and got thru August by traveling a lot and moving the fan around. Also the Basaldellas provided a WiFi box that we needed desperatly as we made all our travel arrangements via internet. A short term stay is not an issue here, but long term like we were there a couple of other issues. The futon is not very comfortable to sit on as are the chairs around the kitchen table. Also the TV with it 900 Italian channels is very small and gets a warning message that the pending conversion to digital signal in Italy will make it obsolete. My wife is an excellent cook and needed a chopping knife which we borrowed from our friends also. She loved the available fresh pastas, fish, cheeses and of course the incredible Proseco. We wore out the cork screw so I had to replace it. Overall I would say this was a 4 1/2 star stay and we would go back in a heartbeat. We have already been disappointed by going to a Starbucks this morning and had a very terrible cappocino and brioche that would have been thrown out it Mogliano. Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Basaldella, Francesca and her husband and Massimo for allowing us a fantastic experience.
Although we did not meet the host during our stay in Mogliano, everything was organised well – we were waited at our arrival and tiny problems encountered were solved immediately. The apartment is nice and equipped very well, nothing is missing from the kitchen, we had enough and clean towels, bed linens etc. The only problem for us (during the FIFA Worldcup ) was the fact, that there is only a little old television.
Mogliano is a pleasant countryside, not crowded, ideal for relaxing. The location of the apartment is very good as well, the grocery is opposite to it, the bus stop is only 2 and the train station is 10 minute walk. You can be in Venice in 20-25 minutes.
Franc was kind enough to wait for us at the train station and drive us to the apartment. It was very cozy and clean, and we enjoyed our stay. Thanks!
