Small studio 2 minutes from the tram & bus stops, 2 minutes from Piazza Santa Maria and famous restaurants but in a safe and super quiet area so you can sleep in peace. Fully self contained from shower, towels, sheets, kitchenette, basic cooking utensils, HAIRDRYER.
Sleeps maximum 2.
The bed is a sofabed, albeit a comfortable one.
The studio is small but it has all you need for a short stay. It is possibly the cheapest place in Rome. It does have a little kitchenette to cook basic things and a cuppa tea but most people eat out and there's a little bar that does great coffee and a little 'cornetto' (croissant - chocolate or fruity or plain) for €2.
If this is booked out for your dates check out my other studio listing in central trastevere

Very small and simple room but very cozy. And in the heart of Trastevere! We really enjoyed .. But that's fine - this real old Rome!
Special thanks to the owner, Richard! Very welcoming and helpful. Due to flight cancellation and transfer it to the next day - he changed his plans, and placed us in the apartments right in the morning .. Thanks! All show and tell!
Come again without hesitation.
Is not suitable for discerning travelers and those who do not expect much comfort. A little damp in the room and has a slightly musty smell.
Hi Richard, the place you are renting is awful. It very much misrepresented. It is just a celler smelly of mold. The air inside is poisonous. When raining water was condensating on a celling and dropping on the floor. I had to leave place after 3 nights. Could not make myself to go in during the day. The price is not fair at all!!! Tatyana
The is no air condensating on the ceiling or any mould. It's true the place is small and only has 1 window. I rent this place really cheap. I thought I had been quite clear in the description. For the price and location you cant beat it. Sorry you misunderstood the description
Location excellent, within walking distance from most places of
interest in Rome.
Apartment seems to be an old cellar adopted for this purpose so it is
pretty small. Double bed (comfortable) takes more than half of room
space. So called patio is just small and dirty yard that you have to
pass to reach the entrance. There certainly are missing cutlery (no
single spoon, knife or fork) and cattle. You certainly can boil some
water for tea or cafe in a pot but it takes a lot of time and is very
We found Richard's appartment exactly as it was advertised, with photos and descriptions beeing quite accurate. It's true that the flat is tiny, so it demands a bit of self-discipline and organisation to make your stay comfortable. However, the kitchinette is quite well-equipped and we found all necessary utensils to prepare the breakfast. Also we never had any problems with electricity, leaking shower or hot water. The appartment is situated in the most charming district in Rome, right in the city center within a walking distance to all major tourist attractions. There are plenty of restaurants and small shops around to suite all tastes, but we didn't find the neighbourhood noisy at all. All in all, we've had quite positive experience and would like to thank our hosts for their warm welcome.

I'm originally from New Zealand but have lived in Rome since 2011. After being a tour guide of radical sports in NZ for many years I now appreciate other things in life as well such as art, history, fine wine and great food.
