The outdoor area was beautiful. It was also wonderful to have boats to use. We had 10 people and there was tons of space and everyone had enough privacy. Great for a large group.
This was an excellent stay over Labor Day weekend! Ann showed us around the house and introduced us to the kayak and paddleboat, as well as maps to the nearest shops and restaurants. The lake was beautiful and the house was very charming. Would definitely consider staying here again.
Lovely lake house complete with all the essentials including wifi! Very spacious and all 12 of us fit comfortably in our 2 night stay here. It was a great getaway experience but still felt like home.
This turned out to be the perfect place for our annual girls' weekend! There is so much space that no one ever felt cramped, yet the house still felt very cozy and welcoming. Its best feature is absolutely its proximity and access to the lake. Great space, both indoors and outdoors!
David and Ann were the loveliest hosts. Upon arrival, Ann met us at the lakehouse and gave us a tour of the house and all the storage closets for extra sheets, blankets, etc. The pictures and profile were very accurate of the lakehouse, which turned out to be incredibly charming. This is an awesome house for a girls or even a family weekend. The inside is very spacious and cozy and filled with great knick-knacks, which extended a timeless charm. The outside of the house has a great covered patio, plus an awesome deck area overlooking the lake. The pier, kayak, and paddle boat were so much fun to use. Even in the rainy weather, we had a great time. Ann's father in law, who was the cutest grandpa to ever exist, gave us a pontoon boat ride (even in the rain too!). He was such a good sport and my friends and I had a great time with him. The house was also very clean, beds comfortable, and everyone really felt at home. The charm of this home, plus the amazing outdoor amenities make this house a great find. I could not recommend staying here highly enough! Ann and David were great to work with and I would definitely go back for another visit in the future.
We stayed at this lovely lake house for our son’s graduation from Notre Dame. It accommodated 11 adults in homelike comfort and Anne and David graciously allowed our calm dog. We enjoyed home cooked meals in a well-supplied kitchen, ate in a spacious dining area where we enjoyed the view of geese and tiny goslings paddling past our window. The younger generation took a paddle boat ride on the lake and played favorite card and board games at the kitchen table. We slept, dined and socialized with all the comforts of home and with the convenience of the South Bend airport close by and Notre Dame just an exit away. Ray was a wonderful companion for our beloved pet during the long day of ceremonies on Sunday. We experienced the best of both worlds during our weekend—profoundly meaningful ceremonies on campus with pomp and circumstance extraordinaire and a home to stay where we could unwind and enjoy the intimacy of family life. Anne and David’s lake home was a great place to relax and visit with family during graduation weekend at Notre Dame.
Nice, big house on a beautiful lake. This is a great spot for a family on vacation or a group of friends visiting for a Notre Dame game!
