About This Listing
The apartment is located just west of UIC campus and the Illinois Medical district. It is within 5 minutes of walk to the subway, 20 feet walk to the CTA bus which leads you downtown directly, and close to the I-290 entrance, at only 3 miles west of downtown Chicago.
If you are touring the city or passing by with the need of a few nights, please feel free to get in touch with me. It's a 3-br and 2-bath apartment. Can accommodate 2. You will have the guest bedroom to yourself and your own full bathroom. I will be the only person who shares the flat with you. The extra bedroom is set up as a home office. You are welcome to use at any time. The side note is that at this time, I will not be able to host male travelers. Married couples are welcome though. Hope you can understand.
The home is designed to bring you comfort and relaxation, a get-away, in a busy city like Chicago. As you hear the city traffic, see the skyline from the balcony, you can also enjoy the peace for a moment during your stay. The place is professionally decorated to bring you esthetic leisure just as if you are staying in a well designed hotel.
It is a direct ride if you are coming from O'Hare airport on the subway. Whether you drive or fly, the location will serve its purpose. It's within walking distance to the Illinois Medical District. Little Italy is within one mile, where you find all sorts of eateries, Italian by all means, Sushi, Thai, Chinese, Mexican, American. Plenty street partking in the area as well, which is very rare in a city like Chicago.
Continental breakfast will be provided, with the choice of bagels, bread (toaster available), cereal, oat meal, yogurt, fruit, milk, and of course variety flavor of coffee.
I love hosting people of all professions, from all over the world, during all life stages. There is always some connection between the guests and the host. After all, we are people with passion venturing this world and making this world beautiful!
I would also like to mention that all the profit will be going to foreign missions, helping the poor and reaching to the otherwise unreached. I am making a goal each month to set aside an amount for the world yet developed.
Above all, I am glad you landed on airbnb website and hope our paths cross at some point. Please feel free to send a message at anytime!
Han was such a great host. She made sure that my friend and I were comfortable the entire weekend. The apartment is within a short walk to the Western stop on the Blue line, which goes straight into the loop. Han was also 100% available via phone/in person the entire weekend. Overall, we had a great time staying with her.
Han was a great host! She was responsive and helpful and her house is clean and cute in great location near the subway. She is a very sweet person too and easy to talk to!
The room is very comfortable and the bed is terrific.
It's a quick ride to downtown using the subway (around 20-25 minutes) and the station is very close to Han's house (less then 5 minutes walking).
Han and her little daughter Nichol are amazing hosts and they do their best to make you feel like in your home.
Han was amazing! She kept in contact, offering places to see and any information we were in need of. Everything was as presented in the listing. Transportation was convenient. Back to Han...she was kind, thoughtful, and a joy to visit with. I look forward to returning.
Han was very polite and the apartment was very nice. Would stay there again.
Our stay at Han's was our first AirBnB experience and we could not have asked for a better stay. Han was a fantastic host. She was extremely friendly and attentive to all our needs. Her space was beautifully decorated and meticulously clean and tidy. The location was also very convenient and close to public transport. We had a great stay and can't wait to stay again!
Han was a lovely host. Staying with her made our trip to Chicago much more relaxing than it could have been. We were at an outdoor music festival almost every day we were there, and knowing that we had a clean, quiet place to come back to every night really put our minds at ease. We took the metro around during the day and used taxis to get back at night. The taxi rides didn't turn out to be that expensive. (Though make sure you can tell the driver how to get back! There is no street sign on Han's street and we had to direct all of them to the right place.)
