Staying in Laurie's studio was one of the most fulfilling and enjoyable stays we've ever had. Everything was absolutely perfect. We felt incredibly taken care of by Laurie and the beautiful studio apartment was immaculate. Everything was sparkling clean. Laurie left coffee, chocolate, homemade brownies, sparkling wine, tea, and homemade muesli for us to enjoy during our stay. Laurie was communicative and available and just an all-around beautiful person. We absolutely adored the neighborhood and got used to the easy bus rides downtown. If I lived in San Fran, I would choose to live in Land's End. It is quiet yet close to everything. Plus, you're near the ocean. Nothing could be better. I'm currently sitting in my office in the South Bronx and practically crying that our trip is over. We cannot wait to take another trip to our favorite city and stay with Laurie again. (Ps- if you stay with Laurie, which you should, try Cassava for brunch. Ah-Mazing food.)
We loved staying in this Studio Apartment at Ocean Beach. It was a very private, quiet, lovely place to relax and to enjoy our vacation. Laurie was a wonderful hostess. And we loved the location - two blocks from the beach, a couple more to the Cliff House, Lands End, and Golden Gate Park. No need for a car since we just caught the bus into the heart of San Francisco.
A cozy, cute studio apartment minutes from the fantastic scenes of the Pacific coastline is a must-stay when you are in the Bay Area. As charming as the apartment and neighborhood are, host Laurie is even more endearing. She baked us scrumptious bars for our arrival and tasty brownie bites to take with us upon departure. Laurie is bubbly, easy to talk to and extremely helpful - suggesting some lesser known, but ultimately amazing sites to visit. If you want the list, stay with Laurie to seek her counsel :-)
I can only hope my future airbnb experiences are as good as this one.
Laurie's studio was so comfortable I forgot this was not my own private apartment during my stay! For me, the bed being comfortable is crucial and this was one of the best part of the accommodations. The living room area is filled with super comfortable seating options, too, which made relaxing after a long day feel luxurious. She provides coffee and tea if you are inclined and the shower was great also. I will definitely stay again. Highly recommended!
We loved staying in this bright, cozy and comfy studio apartment for our business/pleasure trip to San Francisco. We especially enjoyed being able to walk from our room to the National Park hiking trails at Land's End, and to dine at two great restaurants on the shore: Beach Chalet and the Cliff House. The bed was super comfortable and well-appointed, the couch and living room felt just like home!
Laurie greeted us with home made lemon bars and cold locally brewed beer. She waived us farewell with home made brownies. The time in between was just as sweet. Our first night we snuggled in with dinner delivered (a real treat for us living in a very rural area ) and some much needed private time. The next morning, refreshed from our great nights sleep, we strolled right into Golden Gate Park, rented Segways and had a blast. We enjoyed immersing ourselves in the Haight hippy culture then watched the sun set over dinner at the Beach Challet-fabulous service, delicious meal.
Laurie was a perfect host, offering help when we asked, privacy otherwise. She helped us to make the most of our precious time in San Francisco. Her apartment is roomy, comfy, clean, and private. We even had our own patio.
This was our first AirBnN experience. We're hooked.
This place is great, believe me! Laurie was such a hospitable host and the apartment is very spacious and cozy! There is a terrace on a beautiful back yard. Small kitchenette with a fridge and kettle. Easy access via separate entry door. The place is about 12 km from the centre so it's best accessible by car - also bus services run nearby. Grocery store nearby. Beautiful Ocean beach sunsets can be seen few feet from the door. Thank you Laurie for the five star service and guidance on our first trip to San Francisco!
We enjoyed a wonderful stay in Laurie's studio. The apartment is clean, quiet, cozy, and comfortable, the location is superb, and Laurie is just the right amount of helpful. We hope to visit again next year.
Couldn't have been happier with our stay at Ocean Beach with Laurie. The apartment was exactly as described, killer location, and Laurie was a extremely attentive, super nice host. She even gave us delicious brownies the morning we left! Thanks Laurie:)
The hosts are wonderful and understanding. However, after staying a night, my husband told me that this basement apartment was not the cozy place we had hoped for. It smelled of smoke and the bathroom is way too tiny for us "older" folks. Bill only charged us for the 1 night and we moved on.
