My wife and I had a wonderful experience staying at Isabelle and Andrew's charming cottage. Set in beautiful countryside close to Cork City and Kinsale, the location was perfect for exploring West Cork. We were made very welcome and the cottage itself had everything we needed including the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in! We would have loved to have stayed longer and will definitely be back.
Myself, my wife and our 1 year old son had a fantastic stay at Shipool Cottage in Innishannon.
Isabelle and Andrew are so hospitable, helpful and generous.
The location is perfect for exploring Cork, but if you just want to chill in beautiful surroundings, you'd hardly need to leave the cottage.
We will be going back for sure.
Isabelle was a gracious and welcoming host. She was incredibly accommodating and helpful. Her husband picked us up from the bus stop in Kinsale and drove us to the cottage and she brought up dinner. They were the sweetest. There was milk, eggs, bread, coffee, tea and granola that we ate for breakfast everyday. They drove us to Kinsale a couple times since we didn't have a car and it was so nice. They have a gorgeous property that you can walk around. There is a lovely trail to follow and they have friendly dogs. When I read the listing, I loved it immediately and the actual place exceeded my expectations. I would recommend this to everyone. It's beautiful and cozy. I had the most amazing time and I wish I could have stayed longer.
I had an absolutely wonderful stay here. Isabelle & Andrew were so lovely, welcoming & kind and gave me great advice on where to go etc. This was invaluable with so much to see and do close by. The cottage itself is exactly what you see in the photographs. Everything you could possibly need in the kitchen, comfortable bed & cosy surroundings. I will be back! Fresh eggs from Isabelle & Andrew's hens and a yummy & thoughtful welcome pack was so appreciated & enjoyed. It is the perfect place to relax or explore from. I could have happily enjoyed the week just staying around the cottage & grounds. A gem of a place with genuinely lovely hosts, highly recommended!!
We had a very nice time in this lovely cottage very close to Innishanon . Cottage is very well maintained and has a lot attention to detail. We were completely in the nature with three cute dog and a lovely horse in the cottage's garden.
Whole organization with cleaning, picking us went very well and smoothless. The hosts are the most amazing hosts that we have ever encountered.
This place was the highlight of our whole trip i strongly recommend everybody to go and stay in this lovely cottage with lovely people.
Isabelle and Andrew were wonderful hosts; warm, welcoming and hospitable. As mentioned by others there were fresh eggs from their chickens, lovely home made jams, breakfast supplies and milk all provided. And for me, a big plus, was lots of pets to make a fuss of if I wanted to.
The cottage is delightful. The bed is lovely and comfortable, the shower was hot and good water pressure. There is lots of information in the cottage about places to visit and Isabelle and Andrew gave even more detailed information. I recommend this cottage to anyone who likes living in the countryside with all home comforts.
What a lovely 2 nights my husband & I spent at Isabelle & Andrew's charming guest cottage at Innishannon.
The cottage has everything you need (and more) for a comfortable holiday. An added bonus was the fresh bread, milk, & jam as well as fruit from our hosts own garden & eggs from their chickens.
Our hosts gave us the warmest of
welcomes and took the time to share a pot of tea with us and fill us in on the local sights, restaurants etc -it was greatly appreciated.
The apartment is beautifully decorated and has one of the prettiest bedrooms I've seen!
