Our first Airbnb experience sets the standard!
We had a lovely welcome from Isabelle and Andrew who are generous and friendly hosts.
The little house is just as it is on the website and is set in beautiful surroundings.
It is well equipped, comfortable bed, good shower, good wifi and all you may need in the kitchen. Lovely fresh eggs, welcoming cake and breakfast supplies. We were lucky to be there when the raspberries were ready and Andrew was producing home made blackcurrant jam so had extra treats!
Isabelle produced a recommended list of places to eat, all excellent although unfortunately we missed the Farmgate at Midleton as it is closed on Monday the day we went.
Andrew showed us the maps and places to go, I am a map fan so that was really helpful.
The location is good as you can easily get to Kinsale but you are also near the main road to go over to east Cork - the Titanic exhibition at Cobh and Cork itself or go the other way to Clonakilty and the beautiful beaches.
I'm sure there is more I could say but all in all a wonderful holiday we will be recalling for some time as we return to the London tubes! Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us.
Our hosts were gracious, welcoming, and friendly. They made us feel like instant friends! The cottage was beautiful, the bed was supremely comfortable, and the setting was magnificent - the cottage is just out of town, and next to the river, so it was serene and quiet. Wonderful restaurant was a lovely stroll along the river, and we were able to use the cottage as a 'jumping off' point for our explorations of the south-west, for which our hosts provided all the information and recommendations we could ask for. We would like to come back in the future and stay longer!
We received a warm welcome from our hosts upon arrival and during our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed staying in their comfortable and well-equipped cottage and appreciated the suggestions on places to visit in and around Cork. The setting is beautiful. We also appreciated the fresh produce provided including eggs, vegetables, herbs, marmalade and bread. We would thoroughly recommend staying here to other guests.
Isabelle and Andrew were extremely welcoming hosts. The cottage was very clean and well set up with everything you could need including supplies for breakfast. Isabelle and Andrew were always willing to give suggestions about where to go, where to eat etc. The garden is beautiful and the dogs reminded us of home. The village is not far away and Kinsale is a very attractive seaside town 15 minutes away. We had a lovely week and enjoyed our chats with our hosts in their very peaceful part of West Cork.
We had a great time! Isabelle and her husband are very friendly and they have been very accommodating. The cottage is nicely decorated and clean. We found clean towels and also eggs and homemade marmelade for breakfast. Highly recommended :-)
The cottage was exactly as portrayed in the advertisement but the welcome from Isabelle and her family far exceeded what I'd expected.
I'd live there full-time if I could!
My friend and I had a wonderful stay. The accommodation was as beautiful as pictured. We were a short drive from Kinsale, and close enough to West Cork and Kerry for us to have had plenty of day trips. There is a lovely hotel within walking distance where we went for dinner one evening. The accommodation was exceptionally well furnished and the kitchen very well stocked.
We were made to feel very welcome by Andrew and Isabelle, who were very friendly and considerate hosts. I would highly recommend there accommodation.
