Heaven in Innishannon with Isabelle and Andrew as gatekeepers. What more can we say?
Myself and my fiancé had a wonderful stay in Isabelle and Andrews peaceful little cottage. The cottage itself is quite beautifully decorated and laid out. It's kitchen is very well equipped and the hosts clearly take a lot of pride in it. The wifi signal was excellent and the shower was great. The bed was also really comfy. On arrival, the hosts were extremely welcoming and gave plenty of recommendations on things to do and places to eat. They also provided fresh hens eggs (yummy) and supplies for our breakfast which was such a nice touch. The location was excellent with both Kinsale and Bandon a short drive away, and some beautiful scenery of west Cork making for some excellent day trips. We returned home after our trip relaxed and refreshed. All in all, I would definitely recommend a stay in this wonderful cottage with it's lovely hosts!
Isabelle and Andrew were the perfect hosts. On arrival we were greated warmly and made to feel very welcome. We were provided with home made freshly baked bread and jam, together with eggs from their hens. We were given lots of good advice about places to go and also the best places to eat. The accommodation was excellent. It was very clean, well equipped and of a lovely design. It stood in the lovely grounds of the host's house. The location was also first class given its proximity to the places that we wanted to visit in County Cork.
We were even invited into the hosts home for a drink and a chat. This enhanced our visit as it gave us the opportunity to learn more about the area and to understand the way of life. The experience was akin to staying with friends as opposed to visiting as holiday makers.
My husband I stayed here for three nights and absolutely loved the accommodation and the family. The cottage and the surrounding grounds cannot be praised enough. We were able to really chill and relax in the beautiful paradise that Isabelle and Andrew have created.
I think it is even nicer than the pictures. The cottage itself is very luxurious and we felt spoiled as one should on vacation. Every little creature comfort was made available. It is very aesthetic both inside and out. The kitchen is well equipped and we enjoyed making meals and eating inside. There are plenty of lovely books provided and detailed maps to help plan your time here. Andrew was available and ready with lots of advice and suggestions. He is also great company!
The geographic area is very convenient to reach several wonderful touring sites. Loved it!
The most striking part of our visit however was the family. We enjoyed spending time with Isabelle, Andrew and their kids. We feel blessed that we were able to make new friends and gain insight into the lives of the lovely Irish people who we grew to love on this trip.
We cannot thank you Isabelle and Andrew enough for making our time in Ireland so special. You went way beyond the call of duty as a host and it is no wonder you are a superhost! We are definitely going to recommend to our friends and family to include your cottage in their trips to Ireland.
Staying with you definitely confirms the advantages of airbnb for us!
Excellent cottage and really nice family with all the animals. Can highly recommend this one.
Our first Airbnb experience sets the standard!
We had a lovely welcome from Isabelle and Andrew who are generous and friendly hosts.
The little house is just as it is on the website and is set in beautiful surroundings.
It is well equipped, comfortable bed, good shower, good wifi and all you may need in the kitchen. Lovely fresh eggs, welcoming cake and breakfast supplies. We were lucky to be there when the raspberries were ready and Andrew was producing home made blackcurrant jam so had extra treats!
Isabelle produced a recommended list of places to eat, all excellent although unfortunately we missed the Farmgate at Midleton as it is closed on Monday the day we went.
Andrew showed us the maps and places to go, I am a map fan so that was really helpful.
The location is good as you can easily get to Kinsale but you are also near the main road to go over to east Cork - the Titanic exhibition at Cobh and Cork itself or go the other way to Clonakilty and the beautiful beaches.
I'm sure there is more I could say but all in all a wonderful holiday we will be recalling for some time as we return to the London tubes! Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us.
Our hosts were gracious, welcoming, and friendly. They made us feel like instant friends! The cottage was beautiful, the bed was supremely comfortable, and the setting was magnificent - the cottage is just out of town, and next to the river, so it was serene and quiet. Wonderful restaurant was a lovely stroll along the river, and we were able to use the cottage as a 'jumping off' point for our explorations of the south-west, for which our hosts provided all the information and recommendations we could ask for. We would like to come back in the future and stay longer!
