This is a lovely little oasis next to the river on a very busy main road. But once inside, the noise mostly drops away. The hosts are warm and welcoming. My room was a private corner down in the basement area, very quiet and the bed and linens were most comfortable. This is a family home and it feels like it, with photos of the family in the sitting room and lots of cherished memorabilia on display. The breakfast is killer: fresh fruit, homemade breads and hot meats, fish or eggs to order. Just don't park down at the bottom of the steep driveway unless you possess a fearless heart and excellent driving skills :-) Turns out that the space outside the gates on the level are very secure.

Shelia and Michael were great hosts. They both made us feel very welcome and made sure our stay was comfortable. They have a lovely house and our room suited us just fine. Breakfast was excellent, it was our first breakfast in Ireland and was delicious. We enjoyed chatting with Michael and the other guests. We'll stay there again next time we're in the area.

Beautiful bed and breakfast. Spacious room for the three of us. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by the host, given a quick tour of our room and the property and was was given directions to a local restaurant for dinner. In the morning, we had various options for breakfast and everything was delicious.

Sheila is a great host, and clearly knows what she's doing. This is a true B&B, with a fantastic breakfast (which we had to skip due to an early flight), quite a few rooms, and a parlor and dining room set up in true B&B fashion. The house was very old-fashioned in its decoration, and a bit stuffy. We felt a bit restricted, to the point that we didn't even feel comfortable speaking at a normal volume. So that wasn't ideal. But Sheila was very accommodating, served us some great tea and snacks when we arrived, and even helped us set out a spread for ourselves that we had purchased for dinner. The room was large and relaxing, and the bed was comfortable. No major complaints, other than feeling like we had to stifle ourselves.

Response from Sheila:
To Justin, I was very disappointed to hear that you felt you had to stifle yourselves in our home - that is that last thing we would have wished for any guest coming to stay with us. I can only come to the conclusion that your preference would have been to stay in a rental accommodation where you would have had more privacyad more privacy.

Michael greeted us warmly with tea and homemade carrot cake fresh out of the oven. This was only the beginning of a delightful stay. Michael and Sheila were both very welcoming and generous. Breakfast was amazing full of a wide-selection of homemade food and freshly squeezed juice.
