Great experience! Brooke received us at the time scheduled. The appt is really really well located. There are lots of nice and cool places to hangout, brunch, etc. The room is just like in the pics and the cats are super cute! Thank you Brooke.
It was the first AIRBNB stay for us and we would do it again :-) The apartment was very nice and clean. The room is small, but big enough to stay there for five days. Interesting and lovely neighborhood. Interesting bars and restaurants near to the flat. The subway (F-Line) is 10 minutes away and it tooks about 30 minutes to get to the 5th avenue. Easy to find everything. Taxi costs about 7 $ to the subway station. Take it if you have huge luggage ;-) Brooke is very helpful and welcoming. There where no problems with the shared bathroom. We had our own key and feel like home. We recommend it to everyone.
Our experience at Brooke and Terry's house has been great!! We spent a lot of time outside home, but it is such a lovely place... Brooke was an amazing host and she made things easier for us: we had the keys to get in and out, we had clean towels and sheets, we freely used the kitchen and the bathroom... To sum up, all the conditions specified in the announce of Brooke & Terry's home were completely right. We absolutely recommend to everybody who wants to enjoy NY and to be well hosted this private room in the hearth of Manhattan!! We're sure we'll be back! We look forward to seeing Demo's family again: Brooke, Terry, Sasha and Hyeronimus :)
Brooke and Terry were awesome hosts! Although we didn't see them that often as we were out a lot to explore the city. The room was a bit smaller than i imagined, but still spacious enough for two people. Their flat is very nice and inspiring. The location is good, the next subway station is about 10min walk. Lots of good restaurants and bars around. Thanks again for waiting for us on the arrival day. Somehow everything didn't work out exactly how we planned :-)
Lovely apartment. Fantastic area. Very comfortable bed. Helpful advice about local places to visit. Gorgeous view of the garden in the snow. Really enjoyed my stay and would recommend to others.
J'ai été mis à l'aise immédiatement, avec des règles claires sur les allées et venues, l'utilisation de l'appartement, etc.
We had a great time in Brooke and Terry's apartment. We loved the arty colourfulness of the apartment, the beautiful cats who made us feel very welcome, and Brooke's company and expertise on all things NYC. Brooke was fun to live with and chat to, and she told us everything we needed to know about the apartment upon arrival so we felt very comfortable from the beginning. We did not meet Terry because he was on a research trip, but he sounds like an awesome person so we are sure we would have liked him too if we met him.
We have been living in New York for seven years and know the city well. Our love of cultural experiences is satisfied completely in this city. After living in Chicago for 20 years, we have found the East Village be a true neighborhood community. Hosting Airbnb guests has given us a chance to meet even more people from around the world. It is a great way to share the pleasure and excitement of NYC!
