About this listing
This is a large,144 sq ft, room with adjacent bath. The building was constructed in the 1930's as a church, then later a Masonic Hall and now a private residence. I purchased it 23 years ago from the party that converted to residence. There is plenty of off street parking. Public transportation is easily accessible. The #16 bus goes directly to downtown and is only one block away. Downtown is about three miles. The points of interest are: The Carter Center and Jimmy Carter Library, which is three blocks away, Manuel's Tavern, one block, numerous resturants and shops 3-4 blocks. I live here with my mixed breed dog, Axel, who is very friendly.
The den with TV (HBO) is available and next to the guest BR. Wireless Network enabled.

Al and Axel were great hosts. Location is perfect and Al has great restaurant recommendations. Would book again. Thanks Al!
Al was so kind and gentle host. I would like to stay Al's home next time in Atlanta. Thanks for everything at Al's house.
I'm a regular at Al's comfortable house now, my first choice to stay whenever I am in Atlanta. You can't beat the neighborhood and central accessibility to most everything including great greenways. Always nice to see Al and his dog Axel. Thanks Al!
Al is a very kind host. The house was comfortable and clean and in a good spot, and Al was happy to tell us about nearby places to visit.
This was our 2nd stay with Al and Axle. We stayed there before an early morning flight out of ATL. It took less than 20 minutes to reach airport parking from Al's house at 7:30am on a Tuesday morning. Very convenient and as before, Al was a great host!
Al is a fantastic host! He recommended restaurants in his neighborhood that had excellent food and service and gave sound traveling advice. His place is centrally located and easy to find. Parking is a breeze due to his backyard parking lot! I absolutely loved his friendly dog, Axel. I hope to visit Atlanta again and will plan to stay at Al's. He is the quintessential gentleman that I knew existed in the South.
