What a wonderful experience! The house is about 150 years old, and very interesting. If you enjoy places that are different, or curious, or even eccentric, this is the place. Carlos and the rest of the crew were so warm and gracious. I hope to return some day soon!
My spouse and I enjoyed staying at Villa Ludovica and meeting the family and staff. The grounds are beautiful and the pool is relaxing. The bed and bathroom are basic and met our needs during our stay. The location is prime for visiting downtown Santa Marta and also traveling to Taganga which we did several mornings for scuba training. The house sits atop a hill in the center of Santa Marta and receives a fresh breeze through the day some nights the wind can be strong and we shuttered the windows just to prevent too much dust from entering the room.
Overall a convenient location and a good stay. Thank you everyone at Villa Ludovica!
