About This Listing
A practical and comfortable accomodation near Termini, in the heart of Rome. The best low cost solution to visit our city.
The B&B "In the center you too" is in the Esquilino district, in the centre of Rome. Located between Manzoni and Vittorio Emanuele Metro A stops (200 meters away), one stop from Termini and a ten minute walk away from the Colosseum, is the ideal solution to visit the city.
We are on the third floor of an elegant and peaceful historic building. There is no elevator, but I and my staff will be happy to help you carry your bags up to your room. The flat is composed by the staff room, an outdoor bathroom and five bedrooms, each with the name of a famous Roman monument, where we host travelers from all over Italy and from all over the world.
The room is practical and colorful. It has a maximum occupancy of two people and is ideal for those who want to travel low cost but without having to give up a good location. The bathroom is outside the room, but it is only shared with staff, and consists of a shower, sink and bidet. At your entry, you will find a colorful, simple and comfortable amcience, and a pleasant smell of clean and floral fragrances. For your stay, we will put at your disposal towels, hair dryer, TV 19 '', air conditioning, safe, mini fridge and free WiFi.
And ... what else to say? Oh, yes! I almost forgot the most important thing ... We offer our customers the best of Italian hospitality.

The area is also a paradise for gourmets, thanks to many places, often very popular (Panella, Vecchia Roma, Fassi, Regoli): from Italian to ethnic cuisine, from pastries to ice cream, there's something for everyone's tastes.
Thanks to its location between the Manzoni and Vittorio Emanuele metro stations , and the proximity of the Termini railway station, is very easy to get to the b&b and go sightseeing.
For guests arriving by car, in the area there are several private parking.
Other Things to Note

Room as described. Surprisingly large. I was made very welcome. Excellent communication.
I would not recommend staying at either of Daniele’s properties. He runs two B&Bs, Rome Art and In The Center. We booked a room at In The Center with private bathroom, and got it the first day. Like others have mentioned, he tends to move you around once you are settled. We were aware of this, but later found out that it’s against AirBnB policy. If we knew then what we know now, we would never have allowed it.
Daniele intended to move us across the street to RomeArt on the second day, but found bedbugs in it. Instead of keeping us in our original room at In The Center, he gave us a smaller room with a shared bathroom. This wasn’t what we purchased, and he didn’t offer to reimburse the difference between the rooms. Instead, he offered to waive Rome’s city tax of 28 Euros.
Daniele ended up placing us next to the bedbug-infested room. We didn’t realize it until almost the end of our stay. The morning we were set to leave RomeArt, I discovered bedbugs in our room as well. This ended up costing me an additional day off of work and $135 at the Laundromat to thoroughly wash, dry, and dryclean all of our belongings before bringing them into our own home in order to avoid Daniele’s hitchhikers. Daniele offered to reimburse me for the laundry if we created a PayPal account.
Daniele changed his site’s cancellation policy from “flexible” to “moderate” when I suggested we might have to cancel. I got sick one day before arriving in Rome, and informed Daniele. He responded that we wouldn’t be able to fully cancel, and that’s when we noticed the site had changed. We thought it was shady, but I ended up feeling better and let it slide. We later learned this is against AirBnB policy.
Other guests have access to your private rooms. The keys given to us worked on multiple rooms. I discovered this when Daniele changed our rooms while we were sightseeing, but he didn’t give us a new key. It worked on both rooms. Speaking of the keys, the door can only be locked/unlocked using the key. This means you can lock someone in their room accidentally or purposefully. It’s a safety hazard.
Regarding the rooms, I will review the two we were given. The one with a private bathroom at In The Center was very nice. It had a large bed, balcony, fridge and a nice shower that would clog if the too-long shower curtain covered the drain. I wish we could have stayed there longer. The private room at RomeArt was incredibly small and dark. It fit the bed with a few feet of clearance on each side and that’s about it. The shared bathroom had a tub/shower combo that didn’t drain well. Rome’s weather was nice during our stay so I can’t review the A/C or heater. The free breakfast was decent, I wouldn’t pay for the full breakfast though.
You were agree when you booked but now that a problem came out(created by other guests not by us) you say that you would never go against airbnb policy in matter of moving etc etc...
Be honest please...
The room you've booked (everybody can see this) has queen size bed and shared bathroom.
I've left you sleep in a triple room with private bathroom that in high season(october is) we sell it at 120€ per night, half the entire cost you've payed for your stay.
You paid 60€ per night and we sell the room you've been at 60/65€ per night so what refund are you talking about? Which difference?
Ok there was a problem, we can't deny it and we won't deny It but we pretend honesty, because everybody can read you.
For the bugs, is It smart in your opinon for us to sell rooms with bedbugs?
Other guest before you, "hitchhiked" them here.
We are victim like you about this problem.
We closed the apartment, threw all the forniture and cancelled all the reservation to prevent our guests by this problem.
About the cancellation policy, we changed It by flexible to moderate and this change affects just the new reservation not the reservations done before that change (like your reservation). I cannot allow you to decide how to conduct my business and I'm here to ask you to modify that message ASAP.
About the problem of the keys, I'm so sorry but It was created by the new guy who's helping me to accomodate people. He gave the passpartout key to you instead than the cleaning women. Nobody complained this problem in the past because each door has its own key. Sorry about the mistake.
Anyway thanks a lot for your review and we will do our best to learn from our mistakes to give our guests all the best we can.
Flat was very clean and comfortable, host was nice to let me leave my bags, but think communication could've been better, around late check in and check out. Great location too.
Daniele's room is located close to the Terminini, but not in the most glamour section of Rome. We stayed in the B&B's "second apartment." The room was beautiful but very hot. The A/C is a fan with water as the coolant, which wasn't effective in the 90 degree heat. Daniele was overall very helpful. The breakfast was simple, just a croissant and coffee, and we had to walk down the street to get to it. We wanted a bit of a larger breakfast, which was available to us for a small upcharge, but there was some confusion about when it was being offered and it was a little bit difficult to communicate/confirm what we wanted at breakfast. Overall, we paid a good price for decent accommodations - improvements could definitely be made but good for travelers on a budget.
