Daine and Paul were most welcoming, and the room was, as billed, quite comfortable. Although we did not take them up on the offer, they made their hot tub available for our use. They were quite friendly, and we hung out with them some during the evening. They also respected our privacy. Best of all, Paul gave us a great tip to take the less traveled path on our way to Moab. What a great drive! Thank you!
Diane greeted us and has a great way of making you feel right at home. We talked a little but thoroughly enjoyed talking over morning coffee Friday morning with Diane and Saturday morning with Paul and Diane. They took a genuine interest in our lives and we enjoyed the similarity in our experiences in raising children! We would definately stay again and highly recommend you do the same!
Diane and Paul were welcoming and their home was comfortable. It had all of the little details that make a traveler comfortable -- lots of clean towels, a binder with travel information, access to laundry, etc. What I didn't realize is that their home is about ten minutes away from Colorado National Monument. What a lovely surprise! I spent the morning there after I left Diane and Paul's.
We had a delightful time with our hosts! They welcomed us as we got out of the car. After giving us the grand tour of their home, they invited us to join them in enjoying appetizers and a drink.
The bedroom and bath were clean and well equipped. The neighborhood is quiet and very scenic. We will return to the area again next year and plan to stay with Diane and Paul.
We had a relaxing time here. The bed was really comfortable and it was easy to cook a little in the kitchen. The view from the deck is truly inspiring - we did our yoga practice with the Colorado NM in the background. Awesome! Diane and Paul were very welcoming, kind and nice people to chat with. Highly recommended hosts.
Diane and Paul have a lovely home in a very beautiful part of Grand Junction--the scenery is mesmerizing! They are sweet couple, inquisitive and willing to share stories enough to make one feel as talking to old friends. Felt very welcomed and loved the accomodations. Will love to revisit for a longer stay. Highly recommended!
Paul and Diane rolled out the welcome wagon. Though our stay was brief, they were generous and gracious hosts. We got wonderful recommendations and routes to see, and appreciated their incredible view and patio in the sunshine. The room was comfortable and I got a great night's rest!
About the Host, Diane And Paul
I am a retired midwife and now run a gardening business during the summer months. My husband Paul is a geologist and works as a project manager. We love to travel and have a cool off road type of pop up camper. We "float" the Colorado River in our inflatable kayaks and hike trails all over the area including Utah. We have a sweet 3 year old West Highland White Terrier, Layla. We love to entertain company at our beautiful house and look forward to sharing our spare "Comfortable Room" with guests.
